New Target Rescued Us and Built a Brand New Election System

A week before our association’s Spring 2025 election was set to open, our long-time election vendor of over 20 years unexpectedly dropped us as a client. Without hesitation, New Target stepped in and took on the enormous challenge of building a brand-new election system in just a matter of weeks.

To provide context, our previous vendor lost their only ColdFusion programmer and had no internal or external resources to manage upcoming elections. Initially, we tried to help by finding a programmer to assist them (special thanks to Matrix Group for stepping in), but despite these efforts, the vendor ultimately decided not to launch or manage our election a week prior to the announced opening of our election that involves 66 separate ballots and over 600 candidates.

With no way to proceed, we turned to New Target—our trusted website design and management partner—for a referral. Instead, they proposed building an election system for us from the ground up using WordPress. Within days, we collaborated on specifications, reviewed proposals and timelines, conducted a financial analysis, and weighed the pros and cons. Once approved, New Target immediately got to work.
