We brought Net Solutions in to help with a couple of very specific, high-impact issues in our iOS app, Tangerine, and they delivered exactly what we needed. They stepped into an existing Swift + Firestore codebase, quickly understood the architecture, and resolved a tricky Q2R deduplication issue that had been a blocker for us. They also improved our swipe interaction to behave the way we originally intended, with responsive, interruption-safe gestures and no dead time.

I am the CEO of a cosmetic brand and beauty education platform.

We wanted to develop an app to bring 24/7 beauty education to users on demand with video streaming and chat features. This would be a subscription-based membership program for users where they can choose their membership type and pay accordingly.

Found Netsolutions via internet search and had a phone consult with a rep. That's all it took and I was sold. They have a dedicated team of professionals to handle any task from start to finish and I knew I was in good hands.

Netsolutions handled everything as I had no experience in IT. They created the wireframes based on my design specifications and began development in 4 different sprints to stay organized and test features along the way. I learned a lot about the creation process and discovered more things I wanted to incorporate with their help. They helped me set up accounts with various platforms to integrate many technologies into my app for video streaming, char box, and more.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After 4 months of building, we had a beautifully functioning app and shortly after we launched it became the number one ranked new beauty app on google play store in most countries and within the top 3 highest grossing!

We met online twice a week. Their communication skills were amazing. And they are very organized. I would forget certain points covered in past meetings but they would bring it up to make sure I was still interested in those points. It was great! And we stayed on schedule, and on track for each deliverable.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Every aspect. The design process, the teams on deck, the communication and organization, the accountability, their availability when I needed urgent help, every single aspect blew me away.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There is not one thing I can suggest to do better. I mean the cost was steep but now I know why. You get what you pay for and it was worth it.

We needed a partner for software development for one of our B2B enterprise products.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Net Solutions’ team works with our software development team for our B2B enterprise product releases. We’re adding different data types, specifically communications data like email, Microsoft Teams, Webex chats, and Zoom. We initially onboarded the resources when we started the project; they’ve been part of the releases.

We’ve developed the product from scratch. We started with market data and then came up with the need for more resources. Net Solutions looked at our project, release cycle, roadmap, and internal resources to establish our offshore partnership. Since the core architecture and implementation were already there, the team has worked on adding features and capabilities to the product.

As a data archiving and compliance company, we follow strict security protocols and project methodologies for implementation. We have documentation for everything, so we discuss the project before we start on a feature so everyone can be on the same page. Net Solutions has mainly used .NET and AI models for transcription. We store audio and video recording, which are transcribed and available for search.

The product allows people to retain their communications data for different use cases. If someone wants to search and produce for any legal purpose or related case, the auditors or anyone from the compliance team can log into our product and search for any date range, depending on how they’ve set up their system. For example, they can archive for many years and search for that data based on specific employees or resources. They could also do a keyword search depending on the scenario, tag those messages, and then produce it outside the system for anyone else from the legal o HR team to review. Additionally, whenever someone wants to check what’s happening, they can see an audit trail.

We’ve worked with three senior developers.

We searched online and reached out to a few companies based on Clutch. Since it was our first time working with an offshore team, we looked at their reviews, sample work, and previous clients. Then, we reached out to Net Solutions and met with the CTO to discuss how they onboarded, trained, and reviewed the progress of their resources. Their process seemed great, and it matched what we were doing, so we began our partnership.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When we started, we created a roadmap to outline what we wanted to add to our product and how we’d scale up accordingly. So far, we’re on target with the roadmap and our vision. Although there have been challenges with the scalability, Net Solutions has done pretty well.

How did Net Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

We’re a fully remote team, so we have all the tools necessary for anyone to work from home. Since we have partnerships with other companies, everyone uses the tools we define. We have a messaging system and a tool for project management.

Net Solutions follows the process we have for the development team, and they do everything we do. They participate in our daily stand-up meetings and work together to look at the status. Additionally, we have a manager on our side to review Net Solutions’ work; they frequently check how the team is doing.

Moreover, they take our feedback seriously, and we work together to improve. We have a good partnership with Net Solutions; there haven’t been issues so far.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their main strength is the resources they hire. Our team members are doing exceptionally well, and we haven’t had issues with onboarding. With other companies, we have to go through a few resources to get one that actually fits our culture. However, we’ve saved a lot of time with Net Solutions because they really match our requirements. Overall, they take it seriously and do an excellent job.

No, I don’t have any complaints at this point.

The first step with any company is to explain your requirements clearly. Net Solutions can be very helpful if you give them as much information as possible.

I'm the co-founder of ConnectUs, an app that connects students with experiences in their school and local community.

For what projects/services did your company hire Net Solutions, and what were your goals?

We wanted to build a website and mobile app for students to sign up with our platform, but didn't have any in-house developers. We hired Net Solutions to develop a web and mobile app for us. Our goal was to test an MVP with a group of students, iterate, and then scale it to a larger student body.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched online for international web developers and shortlisted around 4. After hosting meetings with all of them, we chose to move forward with Net Solutions for the following reasons:

• Their VP of Sales was extremely honest and helpful in our initial meeting and was based out of Toronto so we could meet them in person,
• their past projects were very impressive, and
• The cost estimate was favourable. Not to mention – all those we met were very polite and honest with us.

We had a few project walkthrough meetings to discuss the scope and logic behind our ideas with the team. Our wireframes and frontend were mocked up prior which made the process smoother. We were presented with a document outlining the technology used for coding, the backend, frontend, API setup, and ownership of the data.

Once all was set up and confirmed, the team discussed sprints and timelines, wrote out all of the features on FeatureMap and we walked through all of the details, sprint by sprint, with our project manager in a timely manner. Once the sprints were verified by our team, the work began and we were able to test the sprints individually to report if any bugs were found.

Once the MVP was finished on the testing server, we gave the go-ahead to push it live. Following the go-live, we were able to test and give the team our feedback and changes to iterate on the project. They would plan sprints around our feedback. The process was very straightforward and cyclical.

A project manager has been our main point of contact throughout the process. There is also a multitude of other team members working behind the scenes, some of which we have the opportunity to speak with when questions arise. These include both backend developers and frontend developers. Furthermore, we have 2 senior technical project managers that we're able to connect with who help us with resource allocation and project road mapping.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We've had plenty of positive feedback and user engagement throughout the development process and iterations, which could not have been possible without the immaculate work of the frontend design and thorough detail in the backend functionality.

We had 2-3 weekly calls with our project manager, who is in constant communication with the rest of the team. Everything was mapped to a timeline and delivered as promised; we were in constant communication and they would let us know ahead of time if any delays arose so that we could prepare. Our primary communication tool is Slack, and we use FeatureMap to map out and communicate all of our sprints. They both work well with our team.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The level of dedication, drive, and attention to detail that the team puts forward, the open communication with team members and rapid feedback/discussions when needed, and the mindset that "nothing impossible." They always take the time to understand and give suggestions on how to make certain ideas work best.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

As with any project, there were minor bugs in some features that were presented on our testing server. They were quick to fix the issues.

I’m the founder of a SaaS startup offering an online ordering platform for restaurants.

What challenge were you trying to address with Net Solutions?

We were looking for a technical partner who could build out our MVP. Although my co-founder is a very experienced UI/UX designer, we didn’t have the technical resources to develop the product. Our goal was to have a working MVP that we could start showcasing to investors and other interested parties.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Net Solutions helped us build a web-based application as our MVP, using Python to develop it, AWS to host it, and Stripe integrations for payment processing. Additionally, they built Android and iOS applications, setting up an administration portal using Django. We worked on a sprint-cycle basis throughout the project. Towards the end, we had an entire month devoted to QA and testing.

We worked with various project managers and technical resources from Net Solutions.

How did you come to work with Net Solutions?

We found Net Solutions through Clutch. We were looking at the ratings of different companies that had worked on similar projects with similar budgets, and we shortlisted 5–6 different development firms that were highly rated on Clutch. Then, we went through a quoting process with all of them.

Given the nature of this project, we expected a time-and-materials type of quote, so we were trying to find a partner who better understood what we were trying to achieve. We reviewed the quotes we got and ultimately decided to work with Net Solutions. Other quotes were very broad and of high level, whereas Net Solutions’ quote was very technical and specific, which gave us the confidence to move forward with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in May 2021, and the project concluded in February 2022; it was a 9–10 month project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The product that Net Solutions built for us works flawlessly, and we’ve received great feedback. However, we’re still in stealth mode, talking to different investors and interested parties, so the product hasn’t fully hit the market. Still, the interested potential investors have technical leads on their teams stress-testing the platform on their end, and everything seems to work perfectly, which is great.

How did Net Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Net Solutions performed very well. Complex projects such as ours tend to have different roadblocks. However, Net Solutions’ project management and technical leads were very helpful in assisting us in solving problems and figuring out solutions.

We worked on sprint cycles throughout the project, and the typical cycle length was of three weeks. They used Basecamp for project management and Slack and Google Meet for communication. Additionally, they used FeatureMap to highlight and track the various features of our product as we went through each sprint cycle.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Net Solutions’ attention to detail and seriousness about the project were impressive. Other companies weren’t very reassuring about their ability to complete the project; they just provided us with general quotes and timelines. However, Net Solutions went extremely in-depth about the project from the start, asking a lot of questions and trying to define our objectives in detail.

Beyond that initial process, Net Solutions was very detailed throughout the entire process. We always felt that they knew what they were doing and why they were doing it, which was very good to see. Overall, they were very honest and thorough.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. We were very pleased with working with them, and we would definitely work with them again. It was a very good experience overall.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Ensure that you review and get into talks with your potential vendor so that you can understand and feel confident about what is going on. That being said, I highly recommend Net Solutions because they have great abilities, technical understanding, and technical capabilities.

I'm the CEO of a Saas startup for casinos and their players.

We hired net solutions to build our full MVP. We wanted a web app for our casino customers, a mobile app for their players, and a few hardware integrations. We had a few specific backend integrations we wanted as well, and they were able to learn and adapt to build how we wanted, all within a very reasonable budget.

Read many reviews and spoke with many different agencies. Net Solutions did the most thorough deep-dive of the project pre-quote, felt very trustworthy, and I could tell they were on top of everything. They had a great project management process as well, made me comfortable throughout the process.

They built our software with a .net backend, using AWS QLDB for the ledger, and native ios/android mobile apps. The web app is integrated with Yubico hard keys and an NFC reader. The mobile app has the ability to add NFC cards to the mobile wallet. They completed the job in 2-week sprints and gave us a full deliverable MVP ready to launch.

We still haven't launched, but the product looks and works great. Product exceeded our expectations.

I can't think of any areas where they need improvement, everything they did was great.

I’m the CEO and owner of Nonna Eats, a company that brings chefs into different spaces, mainly homes, for small, intimate gatherings.

We’re creating a platform with Net Solutions that will allow our chefs to manage their event bookings and logistics.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I provided most of the designs, and Net Solutions implemented all of them and creative responsive designs. From there, they’ve also developed all the code, creating the platform and admin sections. They’re using Java.

What is the team composition?

It changes sprint-to-sprint. Our sprints are typically three weeks long, and each one is a little different. Right now, I’d say there’s anywhere between five and 10 people. The team uses Python.

How did you come to work with Net Solutions?

I spoke to a lot of other founders and people who’d had experiences with a variety of different development agencies. One contact in particular, who I trust, spoke very highly of Net Solutions.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The platform hasn’t launched yet, so it’s difficult to say. However, I just had an in-depth conversation with the Net Solutions team in regards to SEO and how to market the platform when it is ready to launch. 

So far, I’ve been satisfied with what I’ve seen from the team on various levels. Working with Net Solutions has been a really pleasant experience.

They’ve been great, especially given the time difference. We’ve been able to effectively communicate through various challenges, like design and feedback. It’s been great to get to know Net Solutions. They’re easy to work with.

I’ve been lucky enough to have some experience with their CEO, who’s been really hands-on when I’ve had questions. He’s been really giving and generous in terms of supporting our mission and marketing. He goes above and beyond what they do, putting us in touch with other contacts and references to make this product a success.

The other big thing is their design skills. As a designer myself, I’m very picky about my designs and how they look and feel. Net Solutions has been very responsive in terms of figuring out not only the best solution but how to accommodate my needs and the needs of the consumer.

You need to know your product really well. You’re the expert in your field and of your product. Net Solutions is there to support you and provide the knowledge they have, but at the end of the day, you need to be clear on what you’re providing.

I’m the founder and project manager of a company in Panama. We created an e-learning application that teaches soft skills through short courses.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had the project 60%–75% ready in our heads, and Net Solutions provided their input on the other 25% of the project. When we started the project, we gave them the wireframes that another company developed. Their team gave us UI/UX tips, and we made changes to the wireframes.

Net Solutions then helped us to develop a native app for iOS and Android. They built a platform in which users would be able to select and enter courses. Their team created gamification aspects with me.

The platform has a graph that gives the user a visual presentation of their learning progress. They helped us with the logic part of the graph.

I was in contact with a designer, a business analyst, a project manager, and the frontend and backend developers. My main point of contact was with the business analyst who understood all of the project’s demands. In addition to a project manager, we worked with a team of designers and a team for iOS and Android development.

I received quotes from two other companies that were too high. I then looked for developers, and many considered this project too large and complex. It wasn’t a small project, but it also wasn’t a big project. I changed my searched strategy to find companies that promoted MVP development, which is how I found Net Solutions. This paid off because their price was better than the previous quotes we got.

We spent around $62,000 on their services.

We started in January 2020 and finished at the end of June 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The deliverables were on point. Due to changes in the scope, we readjusted timelines, but Net Solutions delivered on time. They implemented everything in the initial scope and provided suggestions, which saved us money. I would recommend them to other companies.

Our product’s success has too many variables. We would love to have more users coming in at this point, but we also had some internal problems.

How did Net Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

In the beginning, there were mistakes, which the project manager resolved. We used Basecamp and Skype to communicate. We were always in contact, which was a positive aspect of our engagement.

There’s a significant time difference between Panama and India. To compensate for that difference, they occasionally worked on Saturday. Their team was committed to the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

When we gave them the wireframes, they quickly came back to us with a good look and feel. Normally, a development team wouldn’t really care about a product’s design.

Net Solutions showed us their professionalism from the very beginning. In the first two weeks, we already had the first sprint done. Their team came back with impressive results.

They were also accommodating. As a result of COVID-19, their team moved to a remote environment but that didn’t negatively impact us. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Our initial contact with the business analyst could’ve been improved. It would’ve been better if we had more communication. They made a few assumptions that weren’t correct. More due diligence, especially in the beginning, would’ve been good.

Be prepared and have more meetings in the beginning. Overall, it was a good experience.

We’re a startup and needed to get to the market quickly. I was looking for web developers to help us replicate an existing system and bring our ideas to a different system.

We have daily calls for at least 10–15 minutes, as well as weekly meetings. They’re very well organized. If a deadline was going to be missed, they were transparent and learned from it. The project manager was great.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very transparent and honest, which is why I gave them more work – a second, 8–9-month project. Net Solutions is also very accessible. They will stay very late for the deployments, which I appreciate.

No, I have no suggestions. The biggest challenge was adjusting to the time zone, but they overcame it by scheduling frequent meetings.

Be very detailed about what you want so they understand your goals. This is especially important since everything is over the phone or web conference. Having the complete blueprint might expedite the process or make things much clearer.

They have set a process which assures optimized project management. We are constantly exploring ideas on how to make the engagement more effective. A variety of tools are being used to collaborate and manage the project and business analysis aspects.

We had a Single point of contact from Net Solutions with worked with our Managers in USA for easy coordination. We had full control on the offshore resources , on their schedule, work assignments.

Their ability to provide hardworking resources as well as leverage their technology understanding to devise a zero error solution. Net Solutions has been very proactive about the solution design in addition to dedication to their responsibility.

They engage solutions architects and UX resources to fine tune the solution design for us. The project manager orchestrates the full involvement of different teams to deliver a zero defect solution.

Can have a stronger bench strength.
