So far, they’ve helped migrate from an old PHP framework to a newer one. What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I know I can completely rely on My Virtual Teams to deliver, so they’ve become our sole frontend code providers. One of the applications My Virtual Teams delivered is being used by one of the most popular Indian footwear websites and millions of their customers. 

How did My Virtual Teams perform from a project management standpoint?

My Virtual Teams is very prompt and lays out their daily project goals. If we need a touchpoint during the day, they escalate those requests to my team. We have a debriefing at the end of each day, and their project estimates are very accurate. Typically, we use Jira and GitHub to manage the project and use Upwork to communicate.

There is no room for failure in our partnership with My Virtual Teams, and they’ve delivered to all our requirements.

Thanks to My Virtual Teams, we’re able to increase our connectivity, as well as decrease our rejection and return rates, which is good for an e-commerce company.

They also helped our collaboration with Truecaller so whenever we call customers, we’re addressed as a verified business so we don’t go directly to spam.

They perform well from a project management standpoint, as whenever we experience any issues with the delivery timeframes, we discuss it with them up front — so far though, they’ve been very on point with their deadlines.

We use Asana and Slack to manage the project and interact with each other and we also do video conferencing through Google Meet.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with the value they provide for our money.  They always deliver their tasks on time and they bring cost-effective solutions to the table. Other than that, they’re very available to us whenever we need them.

To increase customer satisfaction, I would just tell them to keep abreast of all the new tools that are coming out on a regular basis.

Initially it was about creating a web-presence but it has over the years developed into more services like how to handle GDPR, managing users, developing integrated apps/eco-systems, and integration to other services like frame.io. Today we have two platforms - inkish.tv and inkish.news.

How did you select My Virtual Teams and what were the deciding factors?

We have used upwork to find partners, but have now worked so long time with MyVirutalTeams that I almost forgot how. We have worked with several Indian developers - but honestly, never worked with any one company for SO many years and with an intent to have this as an ongoing for-ever relationship.

The importance in the relationship is less about technology, but more that MVT really understand OUR business objectives and are able to manage projects with a minimal effort from our side.

Well... Normally we start writing an idea - share this with MVT and get questions back from them. This ping-ping phase align understanding of the project and from here it becomes more technical.

We have decided to work agile, and it must have been a frustration for the MVT team in the beginning, but as they realized this as a long-term relationship to me it feels that they always consider how to develop according to a more long term understanding of where we are going!

Yes. We have grown our audience - not only because of the content we create, but also because our IT-development has been able to deliver customer experience on a high level. We are 100% certain that the work of MVT is partly part of our success. (and by the way, we often share that opinion to our customers, as we genuinly wish they will use MVT as well)

Agile development with a clear understanding of the strucuture of what we need - both technical and business wise.

We normally get an idea about hours, I wouldn't say that MVT is too precise in those measures, but I wouldn't say that we are very precise in our description as well and always delivered according to our needs and we have some pretty dawn developments that are smart!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their timeliness and understanding of the business we want to achieve have stood out in the partnership. You can often find some with a good technical understanding and often also some with a great business understanding, but rarely in one company.

I can't imagine working with any other company that MVT. For us, they are perfect. Perfect programmers - not sure to be honest, but functionality wise - always!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not really - we have also had our ups/downs with MVT but when an issue is raised - it's addressed and handled, and I believe only once or twice needed to be elevated to senior level in MVT. We are by all means VERY satisifed with the relationship we have.

Interwave is one of two preferred web developers for the Signature Travel Network. Signature transitioned from how they delivered content to their members' web sites from a SQL data dump to an API. We contracted with My Virtual Teams to convert our Extension to use the new API.

My Virtual Teams had been working with Interwave to implement updates to the SQL data dump and was very familiar with our needs. Even with the 12.5 hour time difference, their responsiveness was amazing.

We had been working with My Virtual Teams for several years prior and they consistently delivered more value for the price than other previous programmers had.

Interwave had developed a Joomla Component extension to integrate the Signature SQL data dump into the hosted websites of their members. After personal changes at Interwave, we needed a reliable solution for updating this extension.

After interviewing multiple candidates we connected with Vipin Goyal of My Virtual Teams. Vipin's team was able to update and improve our extension using the SQL data dump.

After being informed by Signature that they were moving to an API we contacted My Virtual Teams, provided them with the new specifications and they provided a reasonable cost and time estimate.

After updating the import routine they updated the core extension as well as additional modules allowing Interwave to provide more functionality to our customers. It was a pleasure to work with their team to develop the various landing page layouts.

Interwave was the first web developer to fully integrate the Signature API. As a result we have picked up several new accounts during Q2 and Q3 of 2020.

Our first project together was a WordPress site that required significant customization. Our in-house team was busy at the time, so we reached out to them for outsourced WordPress development. In this case, we provided them with general storyboards and creative, and they handled the front- and backend work. It also required them to build a custom theme and specialize that as well. 

Our client was concerned about the security and privacy of their content. They were managing a suite of investment portfolios, so users needed to be able to log in and view permission-based investment documents. The creative and UX were big priorities. Additionally, they needed to build out administrative processes that would allow people within their organization to manage and update content. The site was integrated with Mailchimp, so the internal team could market their content.

We work with many outside suppliers, and it’s difficult to find a team with strong skills and great customer service. Their team definitely has that. When our client indicated that they wanted to make an addition to the project midway through development, they were willing to take on the challenge and focus on fixing the problem first.

They didn’t have to redefine the scope and their billing before taking care of the issue at hand. Through this project, we impressed our client and secured some additional work with them.

We had weekly Skype calls, and they were available to us as needed over email. They were also willing to accommodate our timezone differences if necessary. We set up a Google Sheet to track progress, and that’s all we needed on that front.

They genuinely care about the quality of the project and creating a strong customer experience. Their team went above and beyond with the requirements, especially with their creative work. I appreciated that.

I can’t think of anything. Their project management was excellent, their code was strong, and they were always responsive.

It helps to have very clear communications and requirements with any remote relationship. While their creative was amazing, they may have spent too much time on it. We could’ve provided a better creative brief, so they didn’t end up overdelivering.

Everything our company has been built 100% by My Virtual Teams. They built a CMS first and two different websites as a loyalty page and e-commerce page. Then we put them together as one website. They also built an iOS and Android application. They have contributed to the ideas of the features as well. The original features and functionalities have shifted because the business grew so fast. They are currently redesigning the application based on our users’ feedback.

We have a loyalty page and an e-commerce page. On the e-commerce page, the whole design is not user-friendly. The users have complained that it’s hard to search for products. My Virtual Teams has helped us redesign the entire e-commerce page. Users have also complained about the checkout process, so they’ve also redesigned that to make it as simple as possible. We are currently in the process of integrating the new design that they built.

We communicate every day through phone calls. I have worked with other agencies before, but managing My Virtual Teams is really easy. They have a lead person that I communicate with, and the developers communicate with that person. The communication is very clear. If they don’t understand what I’m trying to say, we call and talk. We also type it out for the records so they can remember. We keep track of all the tasks in Kanban, assign tasks from there, and can see what has been completed.

Everything has been very smooth. We don't have any problems with communication. Because their work is so good, I’ve recommended them to friends.

They’re reliable and they get things done when they tell you they will, if not before. They always make sure they test everything before presenting it to us. Whenever there are issues, they help us at any time, even in the middle of the night. I like that they’re available all the time.
