Ecomlight hired Modern Day Strategy to design and set up a Shopify store for the company. The main goal of the project was to create an online platform for Ecomlight to sell its solar products, making it more accessible and convenient for customers to purchase the products.

Additionally, the Shopify store would help improve the company's online presence and reach a wider audience. The goal was also to create an easy to navigate and user-friendly platform for customers, with a focus on conversion optimization to increase sales.

We selected Modern Day Strategy to design and set up the Shopify store for Ecomlight because we had heard good reviews about the company. The deciding factors for choosing Modern Day Strategy were their reputation, flexibility, and affordability. Their reputation in the market as a reliable and professional vendor with a good track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget was important to me.

The scope of work for the project of designing and setting up the Shopify store for Ecomlight included the following steps:

• Requirements gathering: The first step was to gather detailed information about the company's goals and requirements for the online store, including the products to be sold, the target audience, and any specific functionality or design requirements.
• Website design: The next step was to create a visually appealing and user-friendly design for the website. This included creating a logo, color scheme, and overall layout that aligned with the company's branding and goals.
• Shopify setup and customization: Modern Day Strategy then set up the Shopify store, including configuring the payment gateway and shipping options, and customizing the store to match the design created in step 2. They also integrated the store with other third-party tools such as analytics and marketing platforms.
• Product data import: The team helped with the import of all the product details, images and prices into the store. Testing and launch: The final step was to thoroughly test the store to ensure that it was working correctly and that all requirements were met. The store was then launched and made live for customers to purchase products.

I worked with four people from the vendor's team, Charlize, Natalie, Vincent, and Marcel during the project of designing and setting up the Shopify store for Ecomlight.

Charlize was the Solutions Architect and Shopify developer who was responsible for the website design, Shopify setup and customization, and integration with third-party tools.

Natalie was the graphic designer who was responsible for creating visually appealing designs, layouts and elements for the website. Vincent was the marketing specialist who helped with the marketing strategy, creating and implementing marketing campaigns, and analyzing and optimizing the performance of the website.

Marcel, the CEO, and Charlize managed the project, They were responsible for the overall project management and ensuring that all requirements were met, and the project was completed on time and within budget.

They helped with the planning, monitoring and controlling the project, ensuring that all deliverables met the required quality standards and that the project was delivered on time. It's worth noting that, the team may have had other people behind the scene that may have contributed to the project such as Quality assurance, Server administrator, etc. But those four were the main point of contacts.

The project of designing and setting up a Shopify store for Ecomlight has been a great success. The store is gaining a lot of sales and traffic, which is a testament to the store's good performance and design, as well as effective marketing campaigns.

The team I worked with, including Charlize, Natalie, Vincent, and Marcel, were excellent to work with, they provided excellent customer service and support throughout the project. They exceeded my expectations and I am very happy with the final deliverables. Overall, the project has helped Ecomlight increase its online presence, reach a wider audience and generate more sales.

Modern Day Strategy's team employed a well-organized and effective project management style throughout the project of designing and setting up the Shopify store for Ecomlight. They communicated effectively and efficiently with me, keeping me informed of progress, addressing any concerns, and providing regular updates. They were responsive to my queries and requests and kept me in the loop at all times.

They used a variety of tools to manage the project, including project management software, which helped them to keep track of deadlines, assign tasks, and manage resources. They also used communication tools such as email, phone and video conferencing to stay in touch with me. They were punctual and met all deadlines, delivering the final deliverables on time. They were flexible and willing to adapt to any changes in the project, and were able to deliver the project on time and within budget. Overall, I am very satisfied with their project management style.
