We were looking to expand our branding and awareness through marketing, social media, and Google Ads to reach targets and get in front of our customers.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Metric PPC Inc helps us with digital marketing. We went from having nothing to having a solid campaign strategy set up for years. They mainly use their algorithm to best use our marketing budget — they know what’s best suited for our markets and what keywords have the best performance based on our ROI. In general, we’re comfortable setting a monthly budget to get our campaigns in front of our customers. Also, they report which platforms will perform better for the campaigns we’ll use.
We started with event-based marketing, trying to promote our events. We saw how successful they were and then decided to try other promotions, so we kept building our engagement. We’ve provided artwork for each campaign, and they’ve set up everything they need to put on the platforms we use. Also, we provide documentation, including pages and website links.

We work with Sean (President) and his main partner, Keith (Director of Paid Search). He does a lot of the backend work.
How did you come to work with Metric PPC Inc?
We found them by chance; a friend of a friend referred them. Then, we went in and chatted with them — we were sold right off. Metric PPC Inc knew what they were talking about and had an extensive history working in website design and PPC. We were also building the website simultaneously, so they were able to mentor us through the ups and downs of growing as a company because they’d dealt with local people trying to develop their website and online persona before.

We usually set a budget between $25,000–$50,000 per year with room for expansion based on events, partnerships, and philanthropic efforts with other entities, such as nonprofits.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve worked with them for at least 10 years, and we still have an excellent working relationship.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
When we started, we only had a handful of followers on our social media platforms, we didn’t do any sort of marketing through Google, and our website was basically a splash page with a bunch of links to vendors. Working with Metric PPC Inc has allowed us to set the groundwork for our site’s backend structure and have millions of impressions in a two-and-a-half-week campaign. The cost per click was around $2.
In general, we look at the return, how often people see us, and if there’s a call to action, and we definitely see that Metric PPC Inc shows up for us.
How did Metric PPC Inc perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re fantastic to deal with — the team is straightforward and flexible. They don’t hit you with anything you don’t need to know. Moreover, they answer directly and are great people to work with. Since they’re local, they know many businesses and have a thumb on the pulse of what’s going on.
We usually communicate over the phone or by email. I go over once a year just to recap and oversee anything new. However, we have a pretty good relationship most of the time. We email once or twice a week, depending on what we’re working on. If they need to reach out for something direct, they have my line, and it’s pretty easy to communicate between us.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Sean has become a friend. We trust and respect him a great deal. He knows a lot about the industry and what’s going on. Overall, Metric PPC Inc is doing right by us, which is what matters. If we trust and respect them and like doing business with them, that’s all we need to know. If someone promises the moon, we’re a little skeptical.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’ have any feedback on how they should do their business. They’re doing a great job, and the team is adapting and changing with the times. They know what technologies and platforms are out there, and we can always ask them about the new things coming into the market.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I usually advise anyone looking into digital marketing or PPC to go to somebody who knows what they’re talking about. In this case, Sean is the person that knows the most about that field. He’ll tell you flat out what he’d recommend for your business structure. Also, he adapts the resources to point out anything that can help you.
Therefore, we highly recommend them to pretty much anybody. Once you meet them, you’ll get to know them and how they work, which is how good partnerships start. Also, they’re great with people, so you should reach out to Sean or Keith and talk to them about the services they can offer to help you.
