We were asked to build a complete online ticketing platform with a minimalistic UX/UI design. The project included core flows such as an Events page, Dashboard, Analytics, Settings, Notifications, and several nightlife-specific features tailored to organizers. The app was supposed to be as functional as any general ticketing platform, such as POSH or Eventbrite.

Working with LinkUp has been one of the most unproductive and costly engagements we’ve taken on. They removed numerous features that were fully included—and charged for—in the original scope, yet still billed us $8,000 for a product that remains unfinished. For over a month, they did not complete a single piece of backend development, and then attempted to position that delay as a “favor” by offering us an additional month at no charge.

They placed us on what they called a dedicated team model, but many of the team members assigned to us were clearly not dedicated at all. Deadlines were missed, communication dropped, and the work being delivered was far below the standard we were sold.

To make matters worse, they used artificial intelligence to generate the entire notification system. The code is easily recognizable as AI-generated—on par with what a basic UX/UI agent on Lovable would produce—despite promising us custom, professional development. The result is an unpublished, incomplete platform filled with bugs, missing features, and broken flows.

In short, we paid for a full product and received a low-effort, partially AI-generated prototype that doesn’t meet even the minimum expectations for functionality or quality.

UX/UI design was done on point and on time; however, the actual development was extremely slow and uncoordinated, and a waste of every single dollar that we put into it.

They failed to deliver every single deliverable on time. They charged us for a feature. That was not complete. Not once did we miss a single payment, yet our project expanded from a 3-month endeavor to almost 8 months (5 months longer).

Meanwhile, the team also focused on SEO. In a short time, we grew our Domain Rating from 0 to 10 and got over 300 relevant keywords into the top 30 on Google, giving the product solid visibility early on.

Their dedication to aligning the design with my vision was exceptional, and they ensured that all requirements were executed to a high standard.

I started an online marketing campaign three months ago and invested $5,000. Our app has over 2,000 downloads and 986 registered users on the admin panel. The registration cost is less than $1, which is unbelievable for everyone in the market. Our app ranked number one globally when it was launched because of its UX and product design. Our sales ratio is still small, but it's okay because I'm currently focused on building other products. 

I've received positive feedback because of the app's development and amazing features. The feedback from the market has been superb.

How did Linkup Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

Linkup Studio communicates well with me via WhatsApp and email. Marian-Makar states down all the discussion points via email, and we can always count on a quick response from Marian-Makar within minutes. Linkup Studio has provided me with links where I can attend their internal meetings without prior notice and check in daily or weekly on the project updates.

Linkup Studio understands our business, and their process is different from that of other agencies. The team has taken their time in the discovery, analysis, and deployment stages. Linkup Studio is transparent. When I started my engagement with Linkup Studio, people were challenging me about the distance between me being based in the Middle East and them being from Ukraine, but Linkup Studio has a lot of measures to ensure the required transparency. 

I'm happy with Linkup Studio's response time and transparency. Although I haven't worked with other development companies, I've worked at a marketing agency for 13 years. I know what being a service provider involves, and it's difficult to build a relationship like the one I have with Linkup Studio. The team adds value to what we present to them and challenges us when they think it is needed. The team gives us the same attention they provide to their bigger clients.

Linkup Studio can improve their knowledge of the local market and their presence in the Moroccan market. Nataliia has various designers on her team and can easily scale up and down as necessary, which is one of the main reasons I still work with the team.
