1. Project Overview
Phase I of the R.E.D.E.E.M App focuses on designing and developing a comprehensive, user-friendly, and secure mobile and desktop platform that centralizes all federal and state veteran benefits into a single curated experience. The goal is to provide veterans with an intuitive “one-stop shop” that connects them to Real Estate & Housing, Education, Disability, Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Miscellaneous support resources.
Krutch will serve as the lead software developer responsible for the full technical build-out of the platform’s Phase I functionalities, including database creation, UI/UX development, GPS-enabled features, and integration of Subject Matter Expert (SME) video content.
2. Objectives
The objectives of Phase I include:
- Build a fully functional mobile and desktop-ready application that curates federal and state veteran benefits across six categories.
- Ensure the platform is GPS-enabled to automatically show location-specific resources.
- Incorporate Subject Matter Expert (SME) instructional videos for each category.
- Deliver a scalable architecture that supports future Phase II and Phase III expansion.
- Provide a clean, intuitive, and veteran-centric user interface aligned with R.E.D.E.E.M branding.
3. Scope of Work
3.1 Application Architecture & Infrastructure
Develop a scalable, secure backend architecture capable of supporting multi-level data (federal, state-specific, and category-based).
Set up databases to store:
Federal benefits
State-specific benefits for all 50 states
SME video content metadata and hosting links
Implement user navigation flow and category-based benefit organization (R.E.D.E.E.M: Real Estate, Education, Disability, Employment, Entrepreneurship, Miscellaneous).
3.2 Benefit Data Integration (Federal + State)
Krutch will:
Build and structure the entire Phase I benefit library, including:
- VA federal benefits
- DoD benefits
- Federal education, housing, disability, and employment programs
- State-level veteran benefits for all 50 states
Design searchable and filterable benefit cards with:
- Brief description
- Eligibility criteria

- Application links
