BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of a renowned shark slides company. We offer unparalleled comfort, style, and elegant design in footwear.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Kobe Digital?
I was looking for someone who could help me with marketing for my niche product, a small item that isn’t super expensive but very niche. Moreover, I was looking for someone who specialized in selling physical products through e-commerce, not someone who specialized in digital products.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Initially, I saw some of Kobe Digital’s previous work and talked to the owner to see if it was a good fit. After speaking with him, I could tell he was extremely down-to-earth, transparent, and honest. He didn’t hide anything about what to expect, how the system worked, and how he ran his team. We went over all the different details and decided Kobe Digital was the right company.
Most of the advertising they do is on Meta and Instagram, but they also get a lot of traffic through emails and organic traffic.
What is the team composition?
We work and communicate directly with the owner. He likes to handle the big projects firsthand, but he has several teammates other than himself.
How did you come to work with Kobe Digital?
I researched some marketers. I went through the process of talking to Kobe Digital and several other companies. Ultimately, I was more impressed with Kobe Digital than the others, so I reached out to them.
After checking them out, I noticed their reputation for digital marketing was particularly successful in e-commerce brands similar to mine. I didn’t want to hire someone who could just run the ads for me; I wanted a specialist with experience in the field because my product was niche. Overall, Kobe Digital was exactly what I was looking for.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent between $20,000–$35,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started communicating with them in October 2023. We fully started doing business in December 2023; our partnership is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our band has increased dramatically over the last couple of months since working with Kobe Digital’s marketing team and paid ad campaigns. We’ve been crushing it with Kobe Digital; it’s ridiculous. We couldn’t be happier with the results, especially since we’re in a marketplace where the success is derived from our online presence.
I initially checked the numbers they’d done before. I hoped we could get similar numbers to what they’d advertised, and we did better. We witnessed a remarkable 50% increase in online sales over the first quarter; we only expected 20%–25%, so we doubled it. Social media engagement also surged to 75%, which was insane because it was already pretty high.
Moreover, the most significant metric was the emails. Email marketing was already generating a lot of revenue for us, but we still saw a 40% rise in conversion rates. We were getting a lot of attention on emails but only a few conversions. Kobe Digital made slight changes to get us fewer refunds and returns and more overall sales and conversions in a short time.
Additionally, the team has worked to increase the rate of organic traffic even though we don’t have to pay them if it’s organic. They just want us to make as much money as possible. We appreciate that they’re always assisting us in every way possible. At the end of the day, they’re happy if we make more money because they’ll make more money.
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for anything better. Kobe Digital has been helping us and working with us with stuff I would’ve never expected they’d offer to do. They don’t go the extra mile; they go the extra marathon because they’re with us all the way. Even if it’s unrelated, they help us with whatever they can.
How did Kobe Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management has been remarkable. We usually hit the deadline 10–15 days earlier, but we’ve also passed deadlines when it comes to overall sales.
We communicate through text messages, emails, phone calls, and Zoom calls to do screen shares and look at the numbers one-to-one. We always have a weekly meeting over Zoom to look at the metrics, what we can change or tweak, and where we last week compared to this one. Sometimes we’ll do it 2–3 times a week if necessary.
In summary, we’re constantly communicating to ensure the engagement works because our online e-commerce business and marketing are our lifeblood. We don't have anything if we don’t have digital marketing, so we need to stay in contact.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?
The CEO has been nothing but a tremendous asset in helping us achieve our goals for the financial year.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Kobe Digital really stands out due to their strength in adapting to the market, re-strategizing, and coming up with creative solutions to problems. For example, our team initially didn’t have many sales or high conversion rates in the emails. All Kobe Digital had to do was change the format and wording of some things in our emails. After the slight tweaks in terms of who we aimed the emails at and the verbiage we used, we saw a 40% conversion, so they created a 40% increase in a day’s worth of changing our email formats.
In that sense, Kobe Digital has been great at spotting flaws and adapting the strategy to suit better what we’re trying to do, who we are, and the audience we’re trying to reach. They’ve been quick and intuitive when it comes to problem-solving. Moreover, they’ve been accommodating the entire way. When I took on the business, I wasn’t familiar with marketing and other parts of doing e-commerce business, so we ran into problems. Kobe Digital took care of them and did the extra work.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s always room for improvement, but I don’t see anything in particular right now. The only thing they might want to look at is hiring more people. They might need more teammates to keep delivering these results at this quality. Other than that, their only flaw might be that it’s hard to get them to work with you because they’re really busy.
Overall, I’m going out of my way to leave this review because their quality is unmatched compared to anyone else.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you’re doing exactly what I’m doing, the best you can do is be authentic and have a product worth selling. When we started working together, Kobe Digital told me upfront that they couldn’t help me if my product wasn’t worth selling. It doesn’t matter how good your advertising team is; the old phrase that says a good salesperson can sell anything isn’t true. Your product must be worth Kobe Digital’s time and energy, so you need to have those two prerequisites if you’re going to work with them.
Additionally, be as transparent as humanly possible. They’ll help you with everything they humanly can, but you must be prepared to tell them everything they need to know. You can’t come to someone who’s this professional, talented, and hardworking if you’re not willing to say to them everything that’s going on your backend.
If you meet those two things, you won’t have issues.
