We’re a SaaS company that provides safety software to a construction, oil and gas, and mining company. I’m the CEO.

What challenge were you trying to address with JaxonLabs?

JaxonLabs is handling the marketing aspects for our business.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started working with them on SEO before moving into general marketing services. They create case studies by working with our customers. They’ve also set up our social media platforms, making sure we have a presence there.

For the SEO work, their team predominately worked on the keyword research, but we had an input in the final choices.

Right now, we plan on moving more into an advertising aspect with social media marketing.

What is the team composition?

We normally work with Tom (Corporate Director). There are other content writers and people in the background, but I personally don’t communicate with them.

How did you come to work with JaxonLabs?

I found them through a recommendation. A friend of mine worked with them. After chatting with Tom, I found that they have a more hands-on approach to make sure they learn the business before jumping in. They didn’t seem to treat us like another number.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $100,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in December 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

A lot of the process has involved learning what works and doesn’t work. We see how much money we need to spend to get traction online and the results we want. A lot of that had to do with our infrastructure. We had a great year with inbound sales.

Now, we’re coming into closing another round of funding. We have a better understanding of where we need to spend the money to get the results we need. We need to put more resources in to get the right results.

How did JaxonLabs perform from a project management standpoint?

From a project management standpoint, they’re great. I get updates and everything from Tom. His team can manage the project to ensure they’re driving it and not us.

We typically communicate through Slack and email. We also have monthly check-ins.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Tom’s leadership stands out. He can adapt depending on the client’s needs. Every company is different, so they make sure they’re taking the time to listen. Companies don’t fall into a bucket with all of the others. Their hands-on approach uses their internal expertise to find success.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have anything. Most of that is on our side. I wouldn’t change a thing.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure you’re open and straightforward about what you’re looking for. Listen to what they have to say because they know what they’re doing. Be honest if you don’t understand part of the process because that communication is key.

I’m the co-founder of Seven Summits Snacks. We’re a startup chocolate company.

What challenge were you trying to address with JaxonLabs?

We needed an eye-catching website that was easy for us to navigate. We needed the site to look good and have a backend that would support future purchases from both individuals and businesses. We also wanted to provide decent content and enhance our SEO efforts.

What was the scope of their involvement?

JaxonLabs first walked us through what to expect during the engagement. Tom (Corporate Director) outlined a few options for us. Basically, he discussed what we should set up now and the level of growth that our site should have in the future. He also guided us to choose Shopify as our platform.

Tom also focused on branding and storytelling. He directed us through a brand plan to decide what to put on our website and how to niche ourselves. That process also enabled us to articulate our customers. As well, he captured photos for our website and brought on a designer who created images to use on our website and packaging.

We communicated with Tom primarily. He connected us with other individuals when we needed to complete specific tasks.

In my previous job, I met Tom at a networking event. We worked together, so I knew that he was good at building the correct content to enhance SEO efforts. When I had this project, I wanted to work with Tom because we worked together well.

What is the status of this engagement?

We drew up our contract in January 2020 and we’re still working together. We have version one of our website but the site's within a living, breathing cycle of development.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’re happy with the first version of our site. It’s not everything that we want it to be but it’s a great place to tell our story. Our product is innovative, so it’s helpful to have a place to send people. Tom captured that on our website.

We launched the site last week, so we went through it and identified changes. As well, we went to the Canadian government for startup funding and they had suggestions. Tom was receptive to making the changes that we required. 

How did JaxonLabs perform from a project management standpoint?

Tom was excellent, so it was a smooth process. We had one in-person meeting but maintained excellent communication via email and WhatsApp. We're such a small group that we didn’t need to use any project management tools. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Tom’s an active collaborator who isn’t afraid to put forward ideas. JaxonLabs takes part in the ideation and design processes, taking feedback in stride and working with it. They’re consistently positive and contributing to our brand.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not off the top of my head. We picture this as a continued collaborative effort.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Engage them early to leverage their knowledge and plan accordingly. JaxonLabs can give you a frame of reference when it comes to e-commerce and SEO initiatives.

I’m the national accounts manager for the logistics division of a family-owned farm. I also own my own transportation company.

What challenge were you trying to address with JaxonLabs?

I hired JaxonLabs to provide additional sales support for the family-farm business. Additionally, I brought them on at my own company to redo our website and provide branding services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

For one engagement, JaxonLabs provides telemarketing support and launched marketing campaigns, including email blasts. Tom (Founder & Corporate Director, JaxonLabs) includes relevant information that is unique to our industry in the efforts. Their team also reached out to several qualified leads and directly communicated with several customers to improve our reach.

Another project they supported began with redesigning the site for my business. Their team added additional tabs and features to the platform. Updated information, new pictures, and more clarification on our services were included on the new site.

Tom was providing IT and branding support to the country club I belong to, and we met through that connection. After hearing about his services, we brought him to our office and decided to involve him on my two projects.

For the website services, their services cost between $5,000–$6,000. We’ve spent around $25,000 on the marketing support, so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked on the website from December 2016–June 2017. The sales and marketing campaign has been ongoing since January 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their marketing efforts resulted in earning two major accounts for my business. Landing these deals helped us make over $2 million in gross revenue in the past year.

How did JaxonLabs perform from a project management standpoint?

We primarily communicate through email and occasional texting. When there’s something urgent to discuss, Tom is quick to schedule a phone call with our team. They work well with our schedule and plan everything around our availability. Instead of calling out of the blue, we’ll arrange a time over email that works for both of us.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Tom is a quick learner. Although they’re new to our industry, they are dedicated to understanding our needs and doing the job right. It’s easy to work with them because of their ability to identify a process that works and run with it. I appreciate their approach.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m unsure if this is unique to our engagement, but having a concrete hourly rate and cost for services would be helpful. Everything else has been great.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure you have a roadmap for the project. If you bring a clear idea and defined role to Tom, he’ll be able to accomplish your goals quicker. Coming to the project with a wide-open concept can lead to more time and costs.

I worked as a marketing manager for a mid-large size consulting firm. We hired JaxonLabs to grow our business.

We hired Jackson Labs for end-to-end business development support from idea generation to strategy & implementation.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to develop a business plan and a marketing plan. We also wanted to do a creative overhaul of our business (e.g. website, logo, colors, themes, app development). There would also be ongoing development and support post-project. 

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

After submitting an RFP for this project, JaxonLabs won the proposal. We met with Tom (Corporate Director, JaxonLabs LLC) several times before deciding to work with him. They were prepared with prototypes, ideas, and mock-ups, so it was an easy decision.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

They helped plan and support our business and marketing plan. They developed, implemented, reviewed, and revised a one-year work plan, including our company vision, mission, values, and resource plans.

JaxonLabs LLC also managed a campaign, which was responsible for driving acquisitions for clients. They developed our digital experience and considered how it applies to each product portfolio (e.g. competitive position, market position, customer journey, and channel requirements). They coordinated campaign development by providing digital support, including budget support and messaging.

What was the team composition?

We hired JaxonLabs to work directly with the project manager, and the project manager was the liaison between us.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

JaxonLabs was successfully able to achieve all the KPIs (e.g. business growth, sales, revenue, and profit all increased). We were also able to build a Rolodex of potential leads for sales in the future.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Their project management was excellent. JaxonLabs created a one year plan prior to doing the project, and both parties agreed to the plan so there were no surprises. There was never a question of when or how tasks would be completed.

All of their communication was clear and transparent. If there were any setbacks (there were very few), we knew about them well ahead of time, and we were able to plan accordingly. JaxonLabs was prepared and organized. They used high-end project management tools to make communications easy for all stakeholders. 

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I found their speed and innovative techniques very impressive. Everything was delivered ahead of schedule, and everything was high-quality. I've outsourced marketing consulting firms in the past, but they were slow and the quality of their services wasn’t very good.

JaxonLabs created extra marketing materials for us that weren’t a part of the original business requirements. These materials kept my company supplied with fresh marketing content for over six months after the project finished. That was a really nice bonus.

There’s nothing I would improve.

Our communication was through the phone, over email, and in person. Regardless of how we interacted, they were highly responsive. I could always get a hold of Tom, and he responded within an hour, if not sooner.

Overall, they were just a very impressive team. They truly understood our vision, created a great final product, and were a joy to work with. I can’t say enough great things about Tom and his work.

I’m the president and owner of Everything Accordingly, a company that identifies best-in-class products and services available to the public.

What challenge were you trying to address with JaxonLabs?

I had a concept for the company I wanted to start, and I needed a partner to build the brand and create our website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I shared my vision with JaxonLabs, and they validated the need for such an idea and also fleshed it out to improve it. For example, they created a mission statement and identified the need for visual components to support the brand. I hired a third-party graphic artist, who JaxonLabs collaborated with in integrating the designs onto the site they were building. They also provided a strategic vision that I used when contacting potential clients.

After a while, we decided to start a blog, which they managed and connected to the site. I wrote the content, and they posted it. We then began a social media campaign on Facebook and Instagram to raise brand awareness. One of our pushes were weekly life hack videos from Mr. Accordingly, a character we created to support the brand and enhance customer engagement.

I only had one main point of contact, and he engaged outside resources to accomplish our goals.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website was best in class, and the social media campaign was outstanding. It increased our followers and fueled the rest of our project. The Mr. Accordingly videos were incredibly well-received and got great feedback. We had to stop the project due to external reasons, but I fully plan to work with JaxonLabs once we begin again.

How did JaxonLabs perform from a project management standpoint?

We used Office 365 and SharePoint to collaborate and house documents and files. We had regularly scheduled calls but also spoke whenever needed. They were always great at communicating and collaborating.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were visionary and created ideas that I wouldn’t have ever thought of, like the Mr. Accordingly videos.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything they could’ve done better. I was 100% satisfied and look forward to working with them again.

We needed JaxonLabs to shoot, edit, and produce a much-needed team photo.

What were your goals for this project?

We were facing a very short time frame to create a photo that would be seen in numerous locations around the university’s campus, including on our soon to be revamped website.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

A mutual acquaintance recommended JaxonLabs.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

They supplied their own equipment and brought their own vision for what would produce the best visual possible. We spoke to JaxonLabs on a Friday afternoon, took photos on Tuesday the following week, and had our photos ready for print by Thursday morning. Tom (Corporate Director, JaxonLabs) provided us with a number of options that were ready for print.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

We had an initial conversation with JaxonLabs over the phone to discuss a time, location, and general vision for what we wanted to create. When the day came, we were impressed with how they organized and captured both our 30-person team and our equipment in the photo. We received edited photos during post-production, as well as a Photoshop composition of several photos blended together, something we had no idea was possible. In the end, we chose the blended photo and couldn’t have been happier.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Originally, the photo was only going to hang in our maintenance shop. It was special for us since it was the first we’d taken in 15 years. JaxonLabs not only did that, but they also created a photo that would be used online and seen in workspaces and offices around campus.

JaxonLabs was incredibly easy to work with. Even with our tight timeframe, they were easy to communicate with. They translated our vision perfectly.

Their people were friendly, compassionate, and creative. From the first phone call to the last, we really enjoyed the process.

For my first time working with JaxonLabs, I can't think of anything. We’re even planning to collaborate with them again.
