We initially wanted overflow software development support. As our needs spiked, we decided we wanted an extension of our labor force.

What was the scope of their involvement?
They help with various software. I don’t know their full technical capabilities, but we use them for Solidity, .NET, and Angular on the frontend. We’re about halfway done with a program that allows people to provide services to cryptocurrency funded companies in exchange for cryptocurrency. It’s a kind of crowdsourced labor website, and freelancers can provide transactional labor like translations or blog posts to those companies.
What is the team composition?
We first worked with their CTO, who then handed the project to his architects and a senior project manager. My team interacts predominantly with that PM. We’ve trained between four and six developers as well.
How did you come to work with inVertiaSoft?
We had a partner on the ground in Ukraine. He knows all the local companies there and recommended a few to us. We wanted a mid-sized company that was able to staff senior officers and run autonomous projects but wasn’t so big we got lost in the clutter. inVertiaSoft was aggressive in pursuing us, and were proactive communicators for the six months before we decided to work with them.

We started working on the Solidity project in September 2017. We’re currently on our third project with them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
This is the first cross-team development project I’ve had that is successful. Their communication is substantially better than my own team, and they’ve made the project perform well. We’ve finished two products now, a Solidity token and an onboarding wizard. They provide a brilliant level of professionalism. They may have gone above and beyond to win our business, but they performed well. They thought outside the box and solved problems we had. It’s uncommon for outsourced labor to take this level of ownership and be so relentless to finish projects on time. The demos for the system they’re working on look great and communication is very good.
How did inVertiaSoft perform from a project management standpoint?
Team feedback is extremely positive. My technical staff raves about how great the PM is. We use Slack and Jira to communicate.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their senior engagement is very hands on. They make sure projects succeed on a personal level.

We haven’t had any negative experiences.

The main mistake people could make is explaining what needs to be done without saying why. Explain your business context and drivers of the project. They will help find deficiencies in your requirements and help you design a better strategy. That was the main reason this partnership is succeeding.

As an organization, we have limited time and resources. Sometimes we provide weaker specifications. When we were not completely satisfied with inVertiaSoft, we had ourselves to blame.
We’ve asked them for some reworks, but this is to be expected. While we’ve been working on this system for some time, they haven’t been around long.
How did inVertiaSoft perform from a project management standpoint?
They have provided us with a project manager, but we haven’t used that resource to the extent that inVertiaSoft wanted. We handle project management ourselves, and call the team daily to talk about what they’ve been doing, what their problems are, and how they will progress forward.
We mostly communicate using Skype and email, and use Git for documentation and specifications. We try to write as much as possible.

They’re loyal and hardworking.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Everyone has cons, but those can also be tied to how we’re using their resources. I’m satisfied with inVertiaSoft’s delivery.

Clients should prepare the documentation with a moderate level of accuracy or detail, and let the inVertiaSoft team propose a solution. It’s important not to be too shallow when it comes to specifications, as this can force the developers to guess too much.

I am the CEO of a company that uses matchmaking AI to connect professionals over lunch. We also offer event services within the app, which assist with organization and management while also matching professionally compatible attendants prior to the event.

What challenge were you trying to address with inVeritaSoft?
We needed to find reliable developers to help us with the build. We wanted backend developers fluent in Java and frontend developers that could connect with our backend, which was built in React.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We started talking through Skype and connected over email. We outlined our major business goals, they walked us through what they could offer, and we agreed on the time to start. They primarily helped with connections to the backend built, and there was a lot of frontend work as well. They made sure the UX/UI were responsive and visually appealing. It looks very good because we created a mobile-friendly website instead of an app.
We’ve started working with them on the event platform as well, which is primarily marketed towards organizations or companies that host events. We have both B2B and B2C, and this was B2B2C.
What is the team dynamic?
We primarily interacted with Andrew [CMO & Service Delivery, inVeritaSoft] and Andriy [Frontend Developer, inVeritaSoft]. We also had a project manager who served as the Scrum leader, an additional frontend developer, and a backend developer.

We found them by chance. They were either recommended or they sent an email to us at an opportune time. We were in communication with a few other development companies, but we ended up choosing inVeritaSoft because they sounded the most serious.

We set a fixed price for the first project to make sure we could collaborate effectively, but the payment model is evolving. We've spent around $25,000 as of now.

We've been working with them since June 2017, but the project we originally started with them is finished. We had a strict deadline in early September. We were very happy with the engagement and have since continued our relationship.

We have several in-house developers that they’ve had to collaborate with, and they’ve done so very effectively. They are now a solidified member of our team. The work that they’ve completed has been very high quality, and we haven’t had to revisit any of their work.
At one point during the project, there was a developer on their end that was not delivering to our standards. When we notified inVeritaSoft, they worked hard to address the issue and make sure we were fully satisfied with the engagement. They gave us a few options on how to move forward, and we ended up continuing to work with this developer while working actively with the rest of the team to minimizing any negative impacts.

They’ve been very good. They’re using Jira for task management and Scrum and Agile systems for these projects, which are very similar to those that we use. We fit very well together, and they're very professional in their approach. We also use Slack for daily communication.

It’s sometimes difficult to try out the people that they hire, because it’s dependent on the specific needs of the client. Something may be perfect for other clients but might not fit our requirements. It’s just like hiring a new employee; you’re never sure that it’s going to work, but you have to try. When addressing these minor issues, inVeritaSoft has been very in-tune with our needs and have been great about listening to our feedback.
