Moving onward, I had the idea to make an anonymous app on a global scale for iOS and Android. I tried to design it myself, but it had a terrible UX. The idea was too broad for me to handle independently.

I needed a partner to help me design the entire UI/UX and take on a significant portion of the workload for the implementation and execution. I hired Innofied to build a mobile application based on our set of internal requirements.

Meet wise is an app that used to organize events for people with similar interests. Any "Meet wise" user can be an organizer; organizers set up gatherings, organize events, and develop event content. Users can create their group or can add and meet people near them who shows interests.

We used Clutch to assess ten vendors with native mobile app development expertise, which I then shortlisted to eight American, Ukrainian, and Indian agencies. My previous experience with international agencies made me cautious in selecting the right partner. I visited Innofied development centre and meet with the skilled developers and managers then decided to hire for my project.

We chose Innofied as they understood our concepts, proposed a compelling approach, and displayed an interest in pursuing our goals. The team met my expectations for the app development partner, which is not always easy to accomplish.

Describe the project in detail.

Innofied designed and developed our app for iOS, Android and the web. In the waterfall model, the iOS app was the main component. They provided the team with a complete scope, including the key features; also supplied screenshots of other applications for inspiration.

I had Innofied develop the web app to be easy to use with smooth browsing. The most time- consuming part of the experience was building features for iOS. Innofoed implemented all the features and Integrated the API I developed with their backend developers.

We're still working on the app and will release it very soon with a minimal set of features. Using a slimmed-down approach, we built this version to have just one specific functionality. Now we have almost reached to released to select audiences and plan to launch the app in July. This version released features includes user signup and login, event schedules, group schedules, notifications.

We work with a project manager, technical lead, designers, frontend and backend developers, QA resources. Their senior management gets involved in high-level issues. I met with them both in person.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Because Innofied is a growing company, there has been a difference in communication since the start of the project. Everyone was quick to respond to my emails and questions in the beginning. Back then, the time needed for developing the product was reasonable.

Other than this, Innofied has been good at advocating my ideas. I don't have a lot of coding experience, but I can describe something to them and have Innofied's engineers provide expertise on how things should be implemented. Despite my initial concerns about working with an offshore vendor, Innofied has been the right partner for this project.

The team is committed to meeting deadlines; they work at night to push screens and tasks through the development process. User testing has also exceeded my expectations. The platform is functional and has only minor bugs around issues such as cost estimates. The positive user feedback excites us, as does the solution's great look and feel.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project manager I've worked with has been strict in meeting my deadlines. Everything divided into milestones. He made sure that everything accomplished on or before the deadline. He also holds me accountable and presses me on issues she needs from my end, allowing us to move along.

At the time of the final review before launch, I went to their development centre to confirm everything working as per requirement, and they reached my expectations. Then I decided to go for the launch and start the next phase of development.

During development, we had daily, and weekly status calls—sometimes just 10-minute touchpoints—and only skipped them on the rare occasions when everyone was clear about the work. In addition to calls, I received weekly and daily status reports; the project manager and I spoke every Sunday to review the prior week the plan priorities for the upcoming one.

To verify everything was on track, Innofied did mini-demos in between functionality deliveries. The team initially used Basecamp to track progress, but I pushed them toward Slack because I didn't care for the first tool. Although everyone has, BaseCamp and Email remains our primary method for communication.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Every member of the innofied is intelligent, polite, kind and helpful. Unlike other software developers I know, they aren't nearly as spiteful or aggressive. I was delighted with the initial communication. Despite the time difference, things were getting done.

Even if we only communicated once per day, my project manager accomplished everything within our timeframes. Innofied is committed to client satisfaction. Since it is a fixed budget project, I've documented as much as I could to avoid scope changes and bugs. Innofied has accommodated us flexibly and reasonably; they've never complained. I can't envision a better experience than what I had.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I wish they opened a development office in Australia to avoid a time difference, but they're always willing to work with my schedule.

I had the idea but wanted to launch the app on a global scale for iOS and Android. The overarching aim of this app is On-demand Retail delivery just like uber eats but for retail instead of food. Bring various retailers on board and also have restaurants too. But the main idea is that it is not just food, it's everything. It's the same thing as food delivery development but with additional fields to include retail (apparel, gaming, sports, home and furniture, pets, consumer electronics, etc.) There will be a multiple products delivery option, that they will get drivers at the shipping location. Tracking features and Inventory Management of products also are key features of this application.

To develop e-commerce online business and allow customers to access store using mobile apps. The project also involves creating a delivery solution linking our business and allowing automation.

Innofied developed the platform on a React Native technology stack for both iOS and Android. We provided the team with a complete scope, including the key features. The team then did wireframes and mind mapping; They built our website from the ground up, as well as both Android and iOS mobile apps. From UX design to both front- and back-end development, they were involved at every step of the process. We’re about to release the beta versions to select audiences and plan to launch the app in July. Beta features include account creation, user authentication via Google, and email- and Facebook-based logins. New users automatically enter the group chat and have the option to engage in one-on-one chats.

Most of our communication went through our project manager, although periodically their engineers and developers would also be directly involved in discussions. In order to coordinate with our internal systems and generate data necessary for the development, they established a hefty infrastructure and middleware team. Their senior management gets involved in high-level issues.

We wanted to create a complete web application for our client company’s product. We had the idea of what we want and we were looking for a technical partner to work on that idea and come up with the complete product specification. The next step was to design the solution and develop it.

What were your goals for this project?

We targeted launching the first version of the product in September. It wouldn’t have all the required features but an early launch was planned to onboard the customers as early as possible. We succeeded in launching the product at the right time and we have a plan for starting the development for the next version in early 2020.

How did you select this vendor?

After doing a lot of market research I’ve found them on Clutch. I was not very fond of discussing my ideas with the sales team but their consultant brought in the technical team in the discussion and I really liked their proposed technologies, architecture and solution. They were extremely detailed. They provided all the answers to my questions clearly and sent a detailed document with proposed technologies, 3rd parties, APIs, server options, architecture etc. It was more comprehensive than all the other companies I contacted.

The scope of this project was creating a full-fledged web-based software that will integrate with multiple payments gateways. It got SMS notifications, modular architecture, microservices development, and third-party API integrations. Innofied development team was working with our internal team to ensure that older systems APIs are either working with the new system or new APIs are developed to replace them.

There were several implementations that were difficult to do and circumstances around how often the API could be used, as it is expensive to run. The new version of the API will address some of these concerns. With Innofied’s assistance, we’re wrapping it up and are about to put it out there for use.

Apart from that, we needed help with server setup, usability and integration testing, continuous performance analysis and launching the product. Innofied helped in all these aspects - they have a good DevOps team.

Initially, there was an account manager and business analyst while we got started. After that, the team I received, had a project manager, developers, designers and testers. I mainly dealt with just the project manager who informed me when milestones were done and then I would test and send feedback to him directly.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

At the start of the project, we brainstormed together and set clear milestones with the exact timeline. Fortunately, we were able to get every milestone delivered within the timeline. The web application was launched at the right time as you planned.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We generally communicate over the email, basecamp, screen sharing and video call. One thing is quite good that I was in touch with every team member of the team. I shared my feedback on basecamp.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I am really impressed with their technical capabilities. The top management team is full of tech guys with decades of experience and that experience surely contributes enough to what they deliver. The team is quite knowledgeable and ready to accept complex challenges.

The project wasn’t very easy as they had to deal with quite an old codebase and come up with newer versions. I am really happy with the end product. I should also appreciate their communication process and the way they make sure that their customers are happy. At least one of the team members was already available whenever I had to discuss something.

There’s always a scope of improvement. I have worked with much bigger companies with better processes. Hope Innofied works on their processes and makes them top-notch.

I need continuous technical and marketing support for the project. As I am a non-technical person, having a team around was the primary requirement. I work with lots of people, interviewing influencers, doing podcasts, and recording videos. A lot of these are conducted on various platforms.

Also, I maintain multiple 3rd party tools like CRM, Email Marketing tools, Project Management tools, etc. Integration and maintenance among these tools are a regular requirement. I like working with the team and I visit their office often. They understand my needs well, provide valuable feedback and suggestions, and take care of any technical issue on an urgent basis.

When I chalked out the plan for AskAnnie, I sat with their team to document the complete technical and marketing requirement. It took us a few days to finalize the whole concept. The final plan included functional scope, technical documents, and marketing and business development plans. In the technical plan, they defined the domain provider, server, website technologies, 3rd party APIs and tools to be integrated, plugins. In the marketing plan, we listed the platforms, video and paid marketing plans.

The work started with designing the website as well as creating collaterals for videos, podcasts, display ads etc. I really liked the design they produced. They have a strong design team and the top management involves themselves in finalizing the user experience and product UI. This ensures that there is the least number of changes in the iterations and the final product has a polished design.

The development is still ongoing for the website and other related technical integrations. They are using WordPress for the website and AWS as the server. The marketing is also ongoing with initial branding and paid social media marketing.

Along with being excellent at communication, they pay close attention to the account management side. Their general attitude is that of partnering rather than providing a service. They’re invested in the success of the project.

We needed complete technology and marketing support for setting up our business. Innofied has been associated with us since 2014 and they took care of every technology needs - starting from setting us the website, creating internal management panels, integration with third parties like TripAdvisor, AWS, and multiple other websites.

We needed a lot of help in Marketing also. Though Marketing is not their primary domain, they agreed to involve their internal marketing team. They have been taking care of Inbound marketing, Paid campaigns, Offline events and multiple other activities for us.

Even if we are part of the Events and Hospitality industry, what we are ultimately providing to our customers, is our technology and platform. The platform makes it easier for the customers to easily book cruises or boats for their events. Our goal was to create a solid platform that is user friendly, evolves continuously as per user needs and integrates with multiple third parties. In addition, Inbound marketing is one of our major business development channel. So, we needed help in that as well. We wanted a single company to take care of both.

I met the co-founder of Innofied in one of our cruise events. I told him about the challenges I was facing and he suggested me some workarounds that would benefit the business. Eventually I learned that his company can take care of the whole engagement and we partnered.

It started with drafting the requirements. They didn't ask for the technical scope as I was a novice in that area. Instead their team sat with our team, understood our business, our customers, how we are earning revenues, locations we are targeting etc. Eventually they came up with a yearly plan to follow. It started with the design of the website.

They have a great design team - very experienced and knows exactly what a customer wants. They kept going back and forth, collected feedback from our team and designed the website. They also provided a clear brand guidelines that we are still following for Crossindia. The development was easy, though we had to ensure that the proposed solutions matched our team's suggested architecture and procedures.

Once they received the go-ahead, their team then built the complete website — from the frontend to the server to the database structure. The support is still ongoing and 2 technical team members are continuously working with us since the start. In addition, a marketing team is looking after all the marketing efforts - article writing, SEO, Google ads, Facebook ads, Offline marketing etc.

There were 1 designer, 2 developers, and 1 project manager in the technical team. In marketing team, there were 1 Marketing manager, 1 content writer, 1 SEO analyst and 1 paid ad manager. There maybe few more members in Marketing team. I am not sure about the exact team composition as the marketing efforts were results based.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

5 years partnership and Innofied was outstanding throughout. Not for once in these years I thought of moving to another vendor. I believe, Innofied is one of the reasons we are a top cruise aggregator business today. None of our competitors is even close to the solution Innofied built for us. The design, the ease of use, the performance of the tools, the consistency and constant up-gradation for the market needs made our online presence one of the best in the industry.

We have received overwhelmingly positive reception from all our customers and every feedback of the customers was thoughtfully analyzed by Innofied team and integrated with the online tools. Moreover, their marketing efforts brings 75% of the total revenue Crossindia generates.

The managers for technology and marketing are excellent. They are highly organized and transparent about progress and potential delays. There are weekly stand-ups, regular follow ups and reports. Innofied uses couple of internal project management tools integrated with email. We’ve on-boarded them into Jira for documentation and scheduling. Communication was easy as we were not only connected with the project managers but with every member of the team via Skype, Email and project management tools.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Consistency and Customer Relationship. They have an excellent process which makes sure that their customers are absolutely satisfied with the work. Issues comes for every project and we also had issues. But their team communicated well, explained with patience and ensured that whatever happens, the project doesn't hamper.

They have never said "no" to any request. We kept giving them complex challenges, but they've always come through. Our solutions have quite complicated functionality which needed long term solutions. Innofied excelled in that.

There's hardly any. The success came only because both our team and their team did a great job. I am a Director at Rudder Analytics; our company provides analytics solutions including business intelligence and data visualization, data engineering, machine learning and artificial intelligence to businesses worldwide. I look after operations at Rudder Analytics.

We needed to build a proof of concept for a data warehousing and visualization project for one of our key accounts and needed to outsource the mobile app development part.

The goal was to have an iOS app to serve as the first draft demo.

The initial wire-frames were designed by us, but Innofied came up with much improvement, we would have a status update and progress discussion meeting every week. They incorporated all our feedback.

One project manager from Innofied was our point of contact. She mostly had 2 front end and 1 back end developers working with her.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were very impressed with the quality of delivery as well as the whole process.The first draft of the demo was well-received by our clients and we are planning for a full fledged project with Innofied.

Unlike some of our engagements with other firms, communication was smooth and project management was top-notch.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Innofied has great focus on user experience, also their backend development is robust, the app runs smoothly even with high spikes in traffic.

Although everything has a scope for improvement, after working with other agencies, we honestly believe no one could really do this any better.
