At the moment, we’re only working on a small budget with Incrementors. Despite that, we have seen an increase in organic traffic that we have converted into sales. Our website has also improved in its Google rankings for keywords in our niche, and we even show up on Google’s first page — that’s not something we could’ve done by ourselves.

Overall, we’re very happy with Incrementors’ services. We work in the same timezone, so that means they’re quick to get back to our questions and respond to our emails. We set up calls every couple of weeks, and they provide us with recommendations on what we can do to improve our SEO. 

They do a lot of work, but our team is composed of only two people, so it’s difficult for us to catch up. That said, on their own, Incrementors is doing a pretty good job.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We only have a very basic understanding of SEO, and there’s so much that we don’t know about. Incrementors not only does their job, but they also guide and educate us about how technicalities work. We’re getting to know new concepts through them.

When they share the work report with me, they have 10 actionable items that they have achieved. Because of my lack of time and understanding, I cannot completely understand and pay attention to every detail. If I had more time, I’d be more involved in the process.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Incrementors helped us increase our score on BrightLocal by listing us on a lot of local websites — they’ve also significantly increased our backlinking efforts, with about 350 backlinks from different sites.

Additionally, they’ve helped set up our profiles for our business across different online platforms, and gave us with opportunities to blog about our services and products. Apart from that, they’ve also optimized our pages and metadata descriptions, and provided us with keyword research.

When it comes to the website, they give us recommendations and insights on how our website should look. I would then take their suggestions and have my web designer take care of them.

The only metrics we’ve been using right now are the increase in backlinks and our keyword engagement. Our BrightLocal score has also been going up, and right now, I’m hoping to start seeing more traffic for our website.

They’re very good when it comes to project management. Any time we need to have something done by a specific time, they’ll have it ready for us. Additionally, if I have any questions about the documents or research they send over, they’re always free to go over our concerns.

We have regular meetings once a week to get on the same page, and use Google shared documents to manage the project. We have all the information we need on there, and there’s a checklist where they can update and as the project progresses, I can just mark each task as approved.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with the amount of research they do, and how quickly they’re able to respond to us. I also like how knowledgeable they are about building a brand online.

We’ve gone from ranking in the hundreds to number one spots in multiple different areas — that’s hard evidence of the work they put into this.

Also, we were unaware of how blogs, videos, and all the content recommendations they’ve given hold weight to improve our SEO. On top of that, the update on our website with metadata, heading tags, and keywords into our copy has gone a long way as well. Incrementors Web Solutions has really helped us with what we’re trying to accomplish.

Communication has been on point. I’ve only had to deal with Devendra, and he’s done everything we’ve asked. We communicate over Slack, and he always messages back immediately. Moreover, they’ve been diligent about communicating their workflow and all their efforts. We get weekly updates on what’s been launched and done.

We use Google Hangouts for calls, Slack for messaging, and email for weekly progress updates. Devendra has about ten different spreadsheets tracking his work.

It’s their results and communication.

They’ve given us some recommendations and told us they could do them with additional hours or by hiring outside. We’d rather have them spend some of the time we pay for executing those recommendations instead of continuing with the profiles and research. Therefore, maybe they can improve their time management towards more various efforts.

If you want to maximize their efforts, let them know what your goals are. They’ll execute for you, but you need to come to the table prepared.

I own a real estate brokerage and a mortgage brokerage. I also run a few different websites for both businesses.

We wanted to gain more business exposure and to upgrade our websites. Our company also needed to improve our customer tracking and SEO ranking through directory listings. It was a lot of work, and we tried to do it internally. However, it didn’t work out well for us. As a result, we hired Incrementors.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Incrementors built 2–3 websites for me from the ground up. Previously, I used templated websites from third-party providers. However, the Incrementors team advised me to find site hosting services so that I could have my own commercial server. They then built the entire database of the websites. As a result, I could go into the websites and edit them without relying on a third party.

After building the websites, Incrementors did directory submissions to improve our SEO performance. Meanwhile, I asked my team of content writers to produce content, and Incrementors posted such content online. They also used tools to help me with keyword research. Their team would research 20–30 keywords on a specific subject, and the content writers would use those keywords in their articles. Earlier this year, we were hacked through a phishing attack, so Incrementors also had to rebuild the sites and put them back online. 

To date, we’re still engaging them for these services. I haven’t used them for PPC management because I use another vendor for that, but they’ve advised me on it.

The number of visitors and the length of time they spend on our websites have increased, as shown on Google Analytics. Our websites also show up in other places that we don’t target, so we’re getting more inquiries than what we had before. Moreover, our page load speeds are faster, which further improved our searching ranking. In other words, more people are organically finding and calling us.

Their project management is fairly decent. For the most part, they can understand their scope of work. We may go back and forth to clarify what’s needed, but once they understand it, they’re fairly good at finishing and getting it all put together. To communicate, we typically use Skype.

They’re easy to work with, and their services are cost-effective since the team is offshore. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Sometimes, we have to go over the project a couple times to explain what they should do. We have to redo some things they deliver. Part of the issue may have something to do with communication. Other than that, their work is great.

Be clear on your exact goals and expectations on the timeline. Setting goals upfront and clarifying how quickly you need them done is the best thing to do when engaging with incrementors.
