I searched online for a digital consulting company and based of their website and the case studies as well as the clients they has worked with I contacted them first and the price was good as well as the customer service

The process was quick and efficient, we started by filling in a google docs form and then approving each step of production , before getting the final product.

We used the Aspira platform which allowed me to view the day to day progress of the entire production process.

I immediately shared the video with a potential donor and they loved it, we are now it talks for them to support the project.

The project manager was always at hand and keen on following up with the project, this built trust and created an enabling environment of creating good work.

Their teamwork was impressive. They seem to enjoy what they are doing and they are good at it!

I work for ASUS, an IT company that services laptops, desktops, all-in-one phones, and other similar devices. I’m the country manager for all English-speaking countries in East and West Africa.

What challenge were you trying to address with Growthpad Digital Consulting?

We were looking for an agency to handle our PR efforts. We needed a partner who could effectively manage relationships with media with our product reviews and press releases.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Growthpad handles media relationships on our behalf. We usually give them complete press releases, which they then bring to journalists who usually release the material as is. Sometimes, we’ll give Growthpad ideas and guidance, and have the team write the releases for us and pass them to the journalists themselves.

At this point, our relationship has mainly consisted of PR management. We’ve discussed some event plans for the future though, including roadshows and university campus engagements in Kenya, though we haven’t implemented those yet.

What is the team composition?

Duncan (CEO) is our main contact. We’ve interacted with about two other people from Growthpad along the way as well.

How did you come to work with Growthpad Digital Consulting?

Growthpad was already on board when I arrived, and I made an evaluation between them and some other agencies. Looking at their profile and the work they’d done for us in the past, I decided Growthpad was offering a better service. Secondly, their quote was quite competitive, and they had experience with tech media.

How much have you invested with them?

We spend about $20,000 per year with them. I’ve only been with the company for about two or three years, so I’m not sure how much we’ve spent in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

I began collaborating with them in 2017, but Growthpad has been with the company for much longer. The relationship is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We track several success metrics. When the reviews are out, we look for keywords, key specifications, or features that we want to see in the releases. We also want those releases to come out on time. After we give them a sample, the review should usually come out within two weeks. We make sure that there are no mistakes and things like that. That’s the criteria we use to judge whether the work was done properly or not. If it’s not up to our standard, we’ll ask Growthpad to discuss it with the journalists and make some amendments.

We have 10–12 reviews every quarter, and we may ask them to make corrections 1–2 times per quarter, which is an average success rate of 80–85%.

How did Growthpad Digital Consulting perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve managed the project well so far. The only delay we ever experienced was during the first quarter we worked together, over two years ago. We communicate through email, phone calls, or face-to-face meetings, including quarterly meetings when I’m in Kenya.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Growthpad has fostered great relationships with tech media outlets. Our budget can be constrained, but they still manage to negotiate with the IT media to get our reviews out at a reasonable price, which we always appreciate.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We would like to see Growthpad get more involved with us and try to understand or anticipate what our plans are. The team usually waits for us to come to them, so they could be a bit more proactive. Other than that, our engagement has been positive.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Just go ahead and partner with them. Growthpad is a very good PR agency in Kenya. Clients should be proactive, really talk to them, and be open.

1. Provide 360-degree support including event concept development; expo booth design and setup; event entertainment activation; video and photography production; media relations and management; on-site event management and support.
2. Provide dedicated and experienced personnel to manage all aspects of the event including pre-planning, execution, and post-event support.
3. Create the design and layout of the venue, from concept to execution.
4. Provide high-quality event coverage, including photography, videography, and live-streaming while ensuring adherence to established USAID standards and formats.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

1. Setting up the two venues 2 days before the d-day.
2. Proactively communicating the set-up progress (Huge Kudos to the two leads: Eddah and Robert)
3. Managing the events seamlessly. 

Overall, Delivering the two high-level events successfully on short notice was a very HUGE success for us. Thanks Team Growthpad!

They were very proactive when it came to project management, and as a result, all aspects of our projects were delivered on time.

Most of the time they would offer useful suggestions of what we need to do to address gaps on our part. They were also providing periodic updates which allowed us to take stock of everything that was happening.

They are people-facing. Everything they do has a human side to it. They work with the client in mind. Most of the time they would go out of scope just to give us what in their view would be a nice-to-have in events like ours even though such services/goods were not included in the quotation. We noticed they were not interested in making money. All they wanted to do was to deliver successful events for us.

Growthpad Digital Consulting was great! While I didn't specifically see anything bad worth highlighting, I believe they need to maintain this high level of performance they have set for themselves if not taking it a notch higher.

• Key Success points with Growthpad Impressions and Reach KPI is over 100% achieved in last campaign (De’22 – Feb’23). Engagement & Clicks KPI has been achieved. They are both growing and we can see that with a very good engagement, more so in Kenya. Uganda Engagement has reduced in recent past due to country’s internet policy which restrict Social media usage via Data, but Wifi & VPN can still access. Overall % Engagement & CTR are also better then target. CPR, CPE & CPC are also better than target.
