I’m a lawyer and the executive director of the San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. We’re a nonprofit representing criminal defense lawyers in the San Antonio area.

Our previous website company pretty much abandoned us. We wanted to create a website that our members would find useful, where we could track our members and provide resources to them.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Funnel Boost Media has provided web development services. They’ve helped us move everything from our previous website and developed a new website from scratch using Elementor, WordPress, and Bootstrap.

Users can sign up for events, pay for memberships, and log into their accounts to access features not available to the general public.

Additionally, they’ll help us with the maintenance going forward.

What is the team composition?

We work directly with Cory (Project Manager) and another individual on our requests for assistance. When we discussed whether we wanted a redesign, I also learned a bit about the website's history, and I know the owner was involved. Additionally, two more people were above Cory and the other teammate at the time.

How did you come to work with Funnel Boost Media?

Our former executive director created her website with Funnel Boost Media. She called them for assistance when we needed a new website.

How much have you invested with them?

They’ve completed much of the project at no cost to us. I don’t know how much they’ve invested, but it’s certainly been a lot, so we’re thankful.

What is the status of this engagement?

I wasn’t in this role when the engagement started, but the relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Without that website, we wouldn’t be able to offer almost anything to our members; it helps us with everything. We wouldn’t be able to organize our events, track our membership, or give our lawyers motions and resources as easily. Overall, we couldn’t run without it.

How did Funnel Boost Media perform from a project management standpoint?

Funnel Boost Media does an excellent job troubleshooting. They get into the website and figure out the problems, which is something we’d never be able to do. Then, they promptly come back to us with options or the solution figured out.

I don’t know if they use any project management tools. We’ve built a calendar for the events we’ll hold. We do three big events a year and several smaller events throughout the year. We also do the calendar so we can promote those events effectively.

Other than that, we communicate with them through emails or phone calls.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

We’d like to thank Cory and the other team member; we appreciate their help. The specifics are boring, but I can’t say enough good things about them. For example, we needed to update a plug-in, so they figured out the plug-in we needed and purchased it for us the other day. It wasn’t costly, so they just went ahead and bought it, installed it, made it work, and then figured out the solution for a Stripe issue we were having. They’re just awesome.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re honest and upfront. Moreover, Funnel Boost Media’s help is huge for us; it would cost our organization a lot of money if we were to go with any other web company that didn’t look out for us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t think there’s anything that they can improve on. I don’t have experience making websites for companies; otherwise, my answer would be different.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t think everything is urgent; let them put your project in their queue and get to it when they can. If you have something urgent, don’t go overboard and demand them to do it immediately.

In our case, we just send them our requests. If something is urgent, we try to get their attention and see if they can take care of it immediately. However, our requests aren’t urgent most of the time, so we just send them off, and they put us in the queue.

The scope of their work included creating content for website pages(which they stole), researching and selecting appropriate keywords(my site has not ranked for a single keyword), implementing backlinks(all backlinks are from irrelevant, low authority, no traffic domains)

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• This is to provide full transparency for any and all future FBM clients.
• I highly suggest that before hiring Funnel Boost Media, you research what "Black Hat" SEO tactics are, their implications, and consequences. Then, make a decision if you are okay with paying a company to utilize such services.
• I hired FBM late last year, and it has been nothing short of a nightmare.
• FBM stole content from a competitor's website and delivered it to me as their own work. Upon discovering this, I requested a refund, but they were unwilling to oblige.
• FBM implemented backlinks to my website that are low quality, low authority, and have no domain traffic. This directly violates our contract.
• These backlinks are representative of the types found in "Black Hat" SEO tactics, coming from low authority, "fake" websites with strange URLs filled with spam content and posts. Some examples include:

• https://hasstrollcrashedyet.com/
• https://bhajanasampradaya.com/
• https://tds-esport.com/
• One SEO company told me, "The quality of links is very poor and is coming from sites that receive no traffic but also have very low domain ratings."
• My website has zero keyword rankings.
• My website has had zero organic traffic throughout our partnership.
• I hired two separate SEO companies to conduct a full audit of my domain, and they concluded that no real SEO work had been done and urged me to request a refund. "It is evident that no substantial search engine optimization (SEO) efforts have been implemented to enhance its rankings on Google."

Despite relaying all my findings and providing evidence to support my claims, FBM was unwilling to offer a refund, despite failing to deliver the work and services outlined in our SEO Contract Agreement. I highly suggest you take into account all that I have said and research "Black Hat" SEO tactics. Decide for yourself if you are okay with paying a company to conduct these immoral practices that go against Google Guidelines.

Funnel Boost has provided NFS with SEO services and web design purposes for the past five months. In this time, they have grown our online presence and made us more visible online on a couple different search engines (Google and Bing). They have solicited keywords and backlinks that have helped us grow our online authority and it has been proven to be successful thus far.

A lot of our website links were not ranking in the first 100 results on google for anything but our business name, but Funnel Boost's SEO and content marketing services have helped us grow our rankings for multiple relevant keyword searches, and they continue to do so.

And they go above and beyond to ensure our goals are met.

We wanted to improve our ranking, get a better placement on Google, and have a better website so that users could get more information and find us easier. We’re a small business, so it was challenging to stand out against companies that can throw a ton of money into these projects.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Funnel Boost Media provides us with web development and SEO services. Although we initially hired them for SEO, a new website became a part of the project. They’ve built our site for us from scratch and added interactive elements and images. 

The team helped us choose which photographs looked the best for our site. Since we have various types of equipment for different applications, we explained to them what we use each tool for so that they could understand the images and where to put them on the site when we send them pictures from the field. Additionally, Funnel Boost Media added a live chat functionality that can whittle down our users’ inquiries regarding our various services. They’ve added questions to get more information from the user. 

As for SEO services, they’ve tried different keywords to move us up in the Google rankings.

Jacob (COO) was the first teammate I spoke to. Since then, I’ve worked with a couple of teammates who’ve developed the website and another group working on SEO.

I found them through an internet search. Previously, I had worked with a provider offshore and one in our state but not our city. A couple of weeks into the latter engagement, the person I was talking to went overseas. After those experiences, we wanted to work with someone local. 

We chose Funnel Boost Media because they were local. Moreover, they listened to our vision, understood what we were trying to do, and had a plan for how they could get us there. They showed us our competitors’ rankings and shared ideas about accomplishing our goals.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Thanks to Funnel Boost Media’s efforts, our rankings have greatly improved, and we’ve gotten more traffic than usual on our site after only a couple of months. The website has turned out very nice, although we still have to improve the copywriting on our side. 

The team has made the site much better than what we envisioned. Moreover, they added the live chat function unprompted and have been improving it. Thanks to that feature, if a user visits our website late at night, there’s someone to talk to them immediately. 

Every time I talk to the Funnel Boost Media team, they have a plan in place. I went into the engagement thinking I’d give them 90 days, and they’ve already surpassed what I was expecting. We’re on or ahead of target to achieve our goals, which has been good. 

How did Funnel Boost Media perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management has surpassed my expectations. They deliver items ahead of time, and they’re really good about letting us know what they’re working on.

We’ve had a couple of in-person meetings. The first meeting was introductory, and then we met to load images onto the site because we had a lot of pictures on our phones instead of our laptops. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Funnel Boost Media says what they’re going to do, and then they do it. They didn’t sell me a bill of goods and then didn’t come through; they’ve delivered on their promises and then some. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

The only thing I wish they could do differently is to offer social media management. They’ve gotten away from that to focus more on SEO and web development. Although I understand it’s better to be really good at a few things, I have so much confidence in them that I’d love for them to handle our social media too. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to tell Funnel Boost Media what you need from them. Our end goal was to bring in more customers; we told them where our expertise was and where it wasn’t, what we needed from them, and where we wanted to end up. So far, they’ve done pretty well.

I’m the CEO and president of Shipacarhawaii, an automobile shipping brokers group. We specialize in shipping privately-owned and commercial vehicles from the Hawaiian Islands to the mainland nationwide and back.

I had originally hired another company to help us with PPC and SEO. However, they were mainly focusing on SEO and not PPC, which made our cost per lead very high at about $75 per lead. Those results made no sense in terms of ROI, so we decided to hire Funnel Boost Media.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Funnel Boost Media has helped us create and manage our Google Ads campaigns — they’ve basically taken on the whole PPC efforts for us. They’ve also created a brand new site for us on WordPress because we weren’t happy with our former site. Now, they take care of all the maintenance needed for it.

Given that our service is nationwide, we’re currently running multiple campaigns simultaneously. We’re also still tweaking the campaigns to find the right audience.

We’ve worked with Jacob (COO), who has walked us through the entire process, a development team that built our website, and a PPC team that takes care of the campaigns and metrics.

How did you come to work with Funnel Boost Media?

When we realized that our previous vendor was taking us down a very dark path in terms of cost per lead, we did a little research and found Funnel Boost Media on Clutch. I also talked with other companies I found on Clutch, but Funnel Boost Media seemed to be very knowledgeable in what they did.

When I talked to Jacob, he laid everything out for me and explained how the process would work. They also interviewed me to ensure that the engagement would be a good fit for both parties, demonstrating that they weren’t interested in my money right of the bat and were more concerned about ensuring they were able to provide what we needed, which was impressive. After thinking about their proposal for a couple of days, we decided to hire them.

We started working together in mid-July 2022, and we’re still working together.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our new site looks great, and our customers love it. It is easy to use and informative. As for the PPC campaigns, our ROI is currently about 150% and increasing, which is fantastic. Additionally, Funnel Boost Media has been able to reduce our cost per lead by half. Now, our conversion rate for the website is 31%, and the click-through rate is a bit less than 12%, which are impressive metrics. Moreover, Funnel Boost Media is tweaking our campaigns to get more qualified leads, which has led to a current 23% in-house conversion rate.

How did Funnel Boost Media perform from a project management standpoint?

Funnel Boost Media’s project management has been perfect; I have nothing but good things to say about it. Usually, some vendors take up to 90 days to develop a website, but Funnel Boost Media built the new website for us in seven days and charged us very little money for it.

As for the PPC management, Funnel Boost Media is very responsive and accommodating to my input and feedback, and they answer all of my questions quickly. Whenever they can’t answer my calls, they call me back immediately, offering amazing response times.

Early into launching the campaigns, they introduced us to a portal where we can evaluate the leads by giving them thumbs up and thumbs down whether they are qualified leads or not, making our feedback very available for them. This portal also gives us visibility into our metrics, such as ad spend, cost per lead, cost per click, conversions, impressions, and average time on site. We also communicate via phone calls, occasional Zoom calls, emails, and text messages.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Funnel Boost Media’s strengths are their communication and responsiveness. They’re very responsive to our needs and make changes almost immediately. Additionally, their pricing is extremely fair.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. They have everything well-thought-out.

If your budget is limited in terms of ad spend, Funnel Boost Media is the place to get it right. They’re very careful and respectful with budgets.

R1: They focused mostly on the design. We’d been in charge of taking care of our Wix website but wanted something with a more professional, cleaner look, in addition to our SEO rankings increase goal.

R1: We’ve finished the website but haven’t seen the SEO results yet.

R1: They created a professional and beautiful website, taking a lot of the information from our old website and putting it into a format that works better for us.

The website is on another level. It’s wonderful. Not only did they give us great results on that end, they were amazing to work with. They were amazing to work with, responsive, and gave us anything we needed.

R2: The website just switched over last week from the old solution. One of our concerns was that we would always pop up first when someone Googled “residential windows downtown San Antonio” and now the new website isn’t popping up yet.

R1: Cory spoke to us about this possibility already — expecting this drop — but they’re going to take care of it.

How did Funnel Boost Media perform from a project management standpoint?

R1: I love how they mapped everything out. 30 days after the launch, we’re going to reconvene and go over the SEO results.

R1: While they always responded to me during the working day, I wish they would have given me an update without me reaching out first. I would question where we were in the process and reach out, and then they would respond. Being more proactive in letting the customer know where they are in the process would be an improvement.

R2: The owner is very responsive. We called him on a Friday or Saturday and even though he was out of town he called us back. It’s been a good experience with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

R1: The product stands out. What they gave to us was amazing. It didn’t take long to get it, and they understood what we were going for. After they showed us the mockup, it only took two cycles of revisions for them to deliver. They listened to us, knew what we needed, and made it happen.

Are there any areas they could improve?

R1: The communication was not bad, but a bit more proactivity with updates would have been nice. That’s my only comment.

R1: You should work with them. We chose to meet in-person with them, and that was nice. I’m not sure if that would work for everybody, but it helped us get our needs across immediately. Communicating over the phone or email isn’t always beneficial.
