Jasmine makes you feel like you’re the most important client she has ever worked with. She is patient, she listens to our needs and provides novel ideas and thinks outside the box. She was brought on the team after signing with Frenchy Digital as our Technical PM. We needed to completely revamp our web experience and re-do our policies to be completely compliant as a Medical Spa. We started with a kickoff meeting to get all our information to Frenchy.

Chris the CEO was our First contact, then he had Jasmine manage the project with us and created a system of communication between their developers and designers to fit our needs.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our website is now over 300 % Faster than when it was before. That’s not an understatement, they were able to make a google score above 80 for mobile which we have rarely seen for websites like our own. Even if it’s relatively new we've already received some great feedback on its design from our patients who really love the way it looks to book their appointments. The user experience is fluid and not confusing anymore!

We used Dropbox, slack as a communication channel, and Trello for project management. Frenchy made everything very understandable and user-friendly since we never had a team like them before.

Frenchy takes personal pride in making a website as amazing as it can be and they do bring that much-needed “French Touch”.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not really, we love working with them and we will continue to refer them to our other friends and business partners.

I am the owner and founder of this lifestyle e-commerce that sells women’s jewelry and detanglers that has just received patents on our technology.

For what projects/services did your company hire FR Digital, and what were your goals?

Our product images, website, and image online was created some time ago and had become outdated. Our website was done on a WIX website that limited our capabilities as an ecommerce. The product photos were also very poorly done the first time so and Since we didn't have in-house developers to invest in a new website, we hired Frenchy to design, shoot, and develop a new Shopify website for us. By doing this, we were hoping to increase our traffic substantially by the end of the year, and actually sell our items.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were searching online for different providers online but wanted someone who had a taste and had the LA vibe. We searched for agencies in LA that had awesome reviews for web developers and then created a list of around 10. After interviewing them, we chose Frenchy based on their past projects, design skills, and cost estimate. Plus they also proposed to do the photoshoot for me and make everything from scratch. I was delighted at the fact that all I had to do was send them products to get everything situated as quickly as possible.

We had more than 1 meeting in the beginning. At first, we had a kick-off meeting to discuss our goals and objectives. From there, the team delivered mock-ups and wireframes for our site. The team also created a Pinterest board and mood board for the photoshoot with a selection of models that fit our brand image. After a couple of weeks of planning, they did the shoot on a beach in Los Angeles and Malibu.

They not only did a shoot though, they also took behind-the-scenes videos and created lots of great content that would later on go on the website. For the website after a few iterations, their team designed and developed a beautiful e-commerce website that had all the bells and whistles the big players in our space had. They updated the content to reflect our company's services and created an about us page with a contact form. They completely updated our terms of operations policies and made them GDPR compliant.

Jasmine was our main point of contact throughout the process. There were also 1 full-stack developer and a designer working behind the scenes. Chris the owner was always included in our communications making sure we as a client were satisfied and had all our inquiries met to our expectations.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Clients and contacts love the updated design, and they now have a better understanding of our products. We are satisfied by the quickness of the development and are very appreciative of Frenchy’s flexibility.

We had daily updates with Jasmine, who communicated with the rest of the team. If there were any delays, they let us know ahead of time so that we could prepare. We used text, Gmail, and Trello to coordinate, and they worked well with our team.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They gave us a professional site that's easy to update and use. My team has never worked with Shopify before, so they took the time to teach us how to update the content ourselves. We really like their implementations in the training they gave us and truly see them as a Long term partner that will be playing a key role in our success.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

When we first launched, we had some minor changes that were decided last minute but that made the launch go a little slower than predicted. We let them know, and they were quick to do the adjustments but we only lost 24h. They then made up by their intense dedication to making the project go live with no bugs or flaws. Shopify the platform itself had a worldwide update so even then they were on top of it. We appreciate their communication on this and always kept us updated on things that weren’t necessarily their fault but that did have an impact on the website.

I’m the COO of a business that focuses on making custom grills. We also make jewelry, and we tell our customers that if they can imagine something, we can make it for them. We cater in the Los Angeles area and to some of Hollywood’s most famous celebrities.

I oversee all of our operations, including product management and customer relations. I make sure that everything is perfect from the moment we get the customers’ orders to the moment they receive them, ensuring that they’re happy.

What challenge were you trying to address with FR Digital?

We originally had a bad website. We offered plenty of options and customizations, but customers were confused because they had to place the order at the checkout just to see prices. It wasn’t a good experience. We also shipped worldwide, so it was truly important for us to have someone to fix our website and UX, and that was when we hired FR Digital.

What was the scope of their involvement?

FR Digital rebuilt our website from scratch. Customers should be able to click or add upgrades any way they wanted without any confusing navigation and pricing. As a result, the first thing we did was a UX workshop, where they showed us ways to improve our customers’ experience. 

We also faced an issue where we were getting more than 30,000 hits per month but few of them were converting. There was no way to contact those leads, and we didn’t know why they weren’t checking out their orders. After building the website, FR Digital helped us find a system to address this issue. 

Moreover, I wanted an order tracking system where customers could see where their order was, similar to ordering a pizza for delivery. However, that feature would’ve been way out of our budget. FR Digital built that up in a way that was economical and practical. They also fixed up our logos. When we put our branding in boxes, we needed certain types of images, and FR Digital made those images look nice and modern. 

At present, they’re helping us with online ads. On top of that, they’ve created social media accounts for us on social platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, and Pinterest. They do a lot of testing to ensure that the best system is in place. When it doesn’t work, the team finds ways to fix it. Furthermore, they're leading our SMS campaigns where they follow up on people who signed up for our mailing list. We’ve also started developing an app with their help.

We work directly with Chris (CEO) and two project managers, who are our main points of contact. They have a whole team of people behind them, including designers. 

How did you come to work with FR Digital?

The FR Digital team lived in the same building as I did, so I always saw them around. I always heard them saying they loved what they were doing, and they even tried to have a meeting with us at one point. 

At first, I didn’t care about them. However, I heard them talk to other people who worked in companies that used their services. FR Digital seemed legitimate, so I started listening and researching about them. I could feel their passion and how much they cared about their business. They weren’t a company that simply wanted to make money; they cared about their people and about making the business better and easier. At that point, I decided to give them a try and hired them.

We’ve invested around $750,000 so far.

We started the partnership in December 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

With FR Digital’s efforts, our revenue has increased by over 400%. Customers can easily check out their orders since the process is streamlined, and we've found good ways to retarget everyone. People now have an easier checkout experience. As a result, they add things to their cart and check them out more often. 

Beyond that, FR Digital’s marketing efforts on Google and other platforms have generated more calls than before, so we’ve added a couple of people to our sales team. We’ve also hired other people for running around and doing tasks — business has truly gotten busier.

How did FR Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is amazing because they’re transparent. We use Slack for all our communications, while we use a Trello board to update everything. We see what they’re working on at the moment and know if they need us to answer a question. We do use emails and phone calls when necessary. However, Slack and Trello put everyone on the same page even if they aren’t at our in-person meetings. FR Digital also trains every person on our team around how to use Trello boards, Google Documents, and other systems. It’s amazing that they take the time to do this even if it's not a part of their contract.

Moreover, having only three main points of contact makes communication much easier; I don’t talk to a different person in a different department every day. They also understand me well because our communication is so close.

On top of that, when the FR Digital team indicates a timeline, they do things according to it. If, for any reason, they’re a couple of hours behind schedule, they immediately update our boards and send me a text message. In other words, I never have to run after them to make sure they’re doing their jobs. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They don’t only execute what we tell them; they also come up with a better solution and strategy. They think outside the box and spend plenty of time thinking about ideas. FR Digital truly cares about the companies they work with, and I’ve never seen other businesses go way above and beyond to make things easier. Every time an issue appears, FR Digital does independent research — they figure things out. 

Overall, they’re such a good company. For many, it’s so easy to sit back, not think outside the box, and just execute what needs to be done — it’s human nature to take the easy way out. However, FR Digital doesn’t do that. If I have their work ethics, communication, and transparency, I’ll be tenfold more successful than I am now. In other words, they inspire me to do better. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. I don’t know what they can do better because they’re a good company. They’re transparent, honest, on time, and responsive, so I can’t think of any areas of improvement. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Tell FR Digital everything from the beginning, including things that are not important. Sometimes, I only mention things to make conversation, but then they'll write those things down and come to me with a solution the next day. 

Moreover, make sure you take their onboarding meetings seriously. I’ve been unwilling to take such meetings because I don’t have time for them. However, after putting in my effort, I’ve realized why they’re necessary. If you’re working with FR Digital, take those meetings seriously. Put everything into them, think hard about your answers to their questions, and tell them what they want to know. That way, you can save time, and you’ll see immediate changes to your issues.

We were searching for a local partner in Los Angeles that had a good reputation with other businesses in the area and we found them on Google.

Frenchy Digital did a full audit of our online presence and laid out the basic structure that we should follow in order to make sure our business grows effectively. They took from a birds eye view, decisions on our web design and customer experience to make Vnus Box more adaptable to its growing customer base.

We were on Cratejoy to start, and we were looking to develop on Shopify or Wordpress to fit our needs for more customization. We wanted our platform to develop into a multi channel hub that not only sells products but that sells its own products and also create an affiliate marketing portal for partners and representatives.

Frenchy gave us knowledge on the industry that we didn’t have before in order to make decisions on what functionalities the website should have. They completely developed from scratch a mobile friendly website that’s still being updated at the moment, but it’s a huge step forward for Vnus.

Frenchy helped establish relationships with other business owners to help develop our brand and awareness in our local community but also help us develop our pitch for potential investors. Frenchy also gave us insight and helped us onboard and build an internal team for more fluid operations and streamlined communication to our partners.

One, the look and feel of the website is completely different. During our 1st testing phase we had customers ordering from the website! From the work that has been done we had new subscribers coming to the new website even though there was no promotion or heavy SEO work done on the new domain. We still had our old website up while the test site was online and customers are currently shifting from the old one to the new!

Frankly, it felt like we had hired two experts on our business at a fraction of the price. It’s crazy how much they’re helping us out not only on the development of the website but Vnus in general. They helped restructure our organization and grow our team. Lisa checks in with us Daily and she makes our jobs so much easier as we have to source and create our new product line with no real experience in the industry.

Frenchy Digital works within our teams and follows a scrum methodology. Their team follows our processes and uses our tools including Trello, Outlook, and Google. We provide continuous feedback to Lisa about the team's performance. They’re very open and available when we ask questions.

Frenchy Digital provided a very good service not only from a development standpoint but also business management that wasn’t what we signed up for in the beginning. We feel like they know how to work with 100 different types of E-commerces. Never one day goes by without having communication with Lisa or Jasmine.

Sometimes we like asking for a lot and they say yes to everything. Just push back a little and stay firm on what direction we should go on.

We set key metrics right from the beginning of the project. We targeted around a 10% increase in revenue with the site and we wanted to increase retention rates as well. We increased revenue by 12% and increased conversion rates by 16%, which is exactly where we wanted to be.

They’re super responsive. They gave me progress updates after each iteration on the website. We used Slack for communication and Clubhouse for development and project management. Everyone was in sync.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re responsive with communication and are also very tech-savvy. They’re also very competitive with pricing. I liked that I wasn’t billed by the hour, I was billed by the outcome.

It would be great if they could provide social media services again. When I asked, they said they paused those services because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

My advice is to consider them more as a business partner rather than just giving them specific instructions on how to solve your problem. They have a lot of experience, and I’m sure they’ll find a lot of innovative ways to help you reach your goals.

I’m the department manager at BuildEng, an engineering firm that specializes in soil engineering and construction material testing. Whenever someone brings dirt or concrete, we send technicians to the job site to test the dirt, concrete, and rebar. After drilling and analyzing the soil, we create a geotechnical report and submit it to the customer.

What challenge were you trying to address with Frenchy Digital?

We hired Frenchy Digital to create a program enabling us to write geotechnical reports online at the job site. 

For context, we previously did everything with paper — technicians wrote reports on paper and submitted them to our assistants, who would then type them in a Microsoft Excel file. Since we did around 10 daily inspections, one week would’ve gone by before I received the reports. Our customers were unhappy because it took us between 10 days–2 weeks to deliver reports after I reviewed them.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I initially explained our needs to Frenchy Digital, and they created a custom web app for us. It was an internal tool that only our company had. We had multiple meetings with Chris (President & Co-Founder), Anya (Junior Product Manager), and another teammate. They used React for the frontend and Node.js for the backend. For deployment, they used AWS.

At present, the web app is launched. However, we’ve already started the second phase of the engagement with Frenchy Digital. We plan to add more testing features to the app, such as line, structural steel, and rebar testing features.

One of my friends had a high-end retail watch business and needed an online selling platform, so he used Frenchy Digital’s services. He told me about them, so I consulted with their team. I could tell that their members were good people, and I liked what they did for my friend’s website. As a result, I hired them.

We’ve spent around $75,000 — the down payment is $15,000, and we’ve made three other payments of $20,000 each.

The initial project lasted from January–July 2024, but the second phase is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The web app has enabled our technicians to type reports the same day they visit job sites. I receive those reports as soon as they’re completed, and I release them the next day. As a result, we’ve shortened the reporting time to around 2–3 days, and our reports and invoices are processed way faster than before.

Because of the web app, we don’t have to use third-party products and pay licensing fees. It’s easy to use — in fact, I’ve expected to experience reboots and shutdowns, but those things haven’t happened. Instead, we’ve gone completely paperless, and everything’s done online. Overall, we’re extremely happy and satisfied with the web app. 

How did Frenchy Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is perfect. Chris has a positive impact on the engagement. He listens and communicates exceptionally well, and he’s supportive. He’s had to jump on a meeting with us on short notice, and he’s always there for us to maintain clear communications throughout the project. Even when our team asks for something without explanations, Chris remains calm. 

For communication, I can call Chris on his number and set up Zoom meetings with the team. They listen and give their feedback whenever I call them.

Chris was extremely knowledgeable in software engineering. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed by their flexibility and adaptability. We’ve requested many additional changes, and they’ve done them for free. Their client-focused approach has also been great.

They give us updates every two weeks. However, since we’re moving fast, it would be better if they could update us more frequently.

Frenchy Digital has designed and developed a WordPress website for me from scratch. Additionally, they’ve helped me design a logo and define the color scheme for it. Their team has also been implementing SEO tactics within my website, and they’ve helped me with my Google Business Profile.

How did you come to work with Frenchy Digital?

I heard about Frenchy Digital through word of mouth in LA, California, so I reached out to them. One of their consultants quickly got back to me, and I let them know what I needed. Then, they came up with a timeline and price that worked well for both of us, so we started working together.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around October 2022, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

My new website looks how it needs to look, so Frenchy Digital has definitely gotten their job done. I use this website as a portfolio, and I’ve found that my clients engage very well with it. Moreover, the site works very well; I haven’t experienced any issues or bugs.

How did Frenchy Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Frenchy Digital has done an excellent job managing the project, so I would give them perfect scores in that regard. As for communication tools, we use Zoom, Google Meet, email, and phone. Their team is very flexible in the way we meet.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be great if Frenchy Digital followed up with me more frequently. For example, I had to reach out to them six months into our engagement to see how everything was going. However, they’ve been very attentive after the site’s launch, so maybe they would have reached out to me if I hadn’t.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you have a clear vision of what you’re looking for, Frenchy Digital can definitely execute it. They’re there to guide you through the project if needed, but they can also let you take the lead.
