I am the owner of a medium size professional IT services company, servicing both public and private sector industries.

For what projects/services did your company hire Focus On Digital, and what were your goals?

I hired Focus On Digital to increase my visibility in Google and Bing search results. I was looking to increase sales and also target higher value customers.

How did you select Focus On Digital and what were the deciding factors?

I found Focus On Digital through Google search. I contacted a number of companies but they were quick to respond and had an in depth knowledge of SEO and some compelling case studies.

I already had an online presence but I was ranking on page 7 or 8 for the majority of my target keywords. Focus On Digital did a complete manual site audit alongside in depth keyword research, this led to a strategy document setting out the plan to improve rankings.

The plan involved a redesign of the website to improve site structure, creation of new content and optimization of the site to improve conversion rates.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

My main point of contact was Jasmine for the SEO and Henry for the web redesign.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The work is still ongoing but after around 2 months I started to see improvements to rankings and within 5 months most of our targeted keywords were on or near page one of Google search results.

I am in regular contact with both Jasmine and Henry via email, and also have Teams update calls. They are both clear and concise in their communication always come to the table with a raft of suggestions for improvements whenever we add more content to the site.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Jasmine always explained what was happening and why certain things were being done. I learned a lot about SEO and conversion rate optimisation working with the team.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

It would be great if they were cheaper, but I guess you get what you pay for ;)

I’m a partner at Capital Inspections. We’re a building inspection company predominately working in the north of Scotland on commercial and private property.

We employed them to build our website from scratch.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We talked them through what our business plan and model are, and what services we offer to the general public. They took our information and came back with a few proposals.

They designed each page of the website and then we put content on the site. They arranged it in a way we were happy with and we signed off on it. They used WordPress.

I searched online for web designers and then they emailed and phoned me. They contacted me right away, so I decided to go with them.

How much have you invested with them?

It cost £450 (approximately $565 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from June–July 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I’ve had positive feedback on the manner of the website and how it looks. They’ve done quite a good job. They’ve been very professional. We had a couple of bugs on my mobile device, but they fixed the problem within 24 hours. The functionality is great as far as I’m concerned.

Now we just want to make the site easier to find, so we’re looking into SEO and PPC with them.

How did Focus On Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

They performed well. They always responded if I had queries or wanted to make an amendment. I could phone, email, or text them, and they always responded in an hour or two. They delivered on time and on budget.

At the end of the project, we had a Zoom call so they could show me how to use the admin side of things.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their professionalism was great. They also advised us and gave us recommendations to improve the site’s layout. I’m not particularly tech-savvy so that was valuable. It’s quite clear, concise, and understandable.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There isn’t anything I can think of.

I certainly would recommend Focus On Digital because they were so responsive and they delivered good ideas.

The project went really smoothly and I am really pleased with the results of the website.
