Flying V Group has redesigned our website from scratch. We built the original one around four and a half years ago, and this was an update to that site. We've seen some of their work in the past, and they have experience in our industry, so we've used our competitors to figure out our design needs and the look we want.

Robb and Brennan are our main points of contact. We've worked with 4 to 5 people from Flying V Group, with 1 to 2 people assigned to our account.
How did you come to work with Flying V Group?
We had worked with them in the past. I originally contacted them and liked their pitch and style. Rob and Brennan felt like they were cut from the same cloth as us. They did a couple of websites prior to this one and did a marvelous job, so we decided to use them again. We've had a good experience with them every time.

We've been working together since February 2018, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We're pretty sure our numbers continue to increase and get better. We don't use the metrics to measure success as much as we should. The important thing is that we want a website that people can visit and check us out for credibility. We want it to look more institutional, and that's the look we're going for. We like some of the graphics they use and how they work. The website is simple and shows our business.
We don't know the exact metrics, but they've all improved. People have said they like our new website and its fresh look. We've had good and positive responses.
How did Flying V Group perform from a project management standpoint?
Flying V Group has met deadlines and stayed on budget. They were very good at changes, modifications, and updates. They're very responsive. We communicate via email and phone calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We're impressed with their responsiveness and eagerness to ensure the product looks the part and is of good quality. We like groups that are responsive, and Flying V Group is one of them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don't have much constructive criticism. It's a foreign industry for us, but Flying V Group has provided good value for what we've asked them to do.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be transparent about the costs and value of what someone is doing and the site's upkeep. When you present something to a group like Flying V Group, don't do it in pieces. Go through your whole site, make the edits, and give it to them in full. Let their team work through it instead of doing one-off projects. It can drive everybody crazy with lots of different edits at different times.
Knowing where you want to finish helps the process flow smoothly. This is especially important for groups like ours that don't speak that language.

We wanted to renovate our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?
We have a third-party online platform like an investor portal, and Flying V Group integrated that into our website. They essentially redid our site, which included a single tab. We took out and re-engaged certain blogs and posts that we had done. We had an integrated map that we ended up adjusting. Flying V Group totally revamped everything for the most part.
We went back and forth with the team on iterations that we wanted to change and things we wanted to do. Flying V Group also engaged with us on SEO and marketing type clicks that helped integrate into our website and search engines like Google.
The team didn't start from scratch because they had done our website before, but they redid virtually everything. Flying V Group suggested keywords and helped integrate specifics they thought might be helpful. We went through so many different iterations and ultimately got it to the point where we wanted it, then relaunched it.
What is the team composition?
I worked with Robb and Brennan. Someone in our office in charge of our marketing campaigns worked with Leeluv and Joshua daily. Since I was the ultimate decision maker, it was easier to communicate with Robb. He was easy to work with and allowed me to call him and agree, disagree, or provide feedback.
How did you come to work with Flying V Group?
I knew Brennan from college long ago, so he's a friend. I also reached out to Robb, and we formed a relationship. They happened to be in town, and we invited them to a football game with us. They were likable people.
Since Flying V Group initially built our website when they were first getting started a long time ago, and they were successful then, we reached out to them to redo our site because we hadn't done a website revamp in a long time.

We spent around $3,000.

We worked together from April to June 2025. We're engaging with them further for our SEO campaigns

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Regarding detail orientation, we reviewed what we wanted to change and what we thought needed to be adjusted. In the lending world, there are regulations that we need to disclose. Flying V Group did an excellent job of going back and forth and accommodating all of our needs. We were more on the high-maintenance side of things.
Our business is customer-based, and we only fund maybe 5% or less of the deals we see. We received a couple more inquiries, and we had better site engagement. The investor portal was very important, and it was easy for us to keep it up to date and seamless.
How did Flying V Group perform from a project management standpoint?
Flying V Group was within budget. In terms of the timeline, we were the ones who kept going back and forth and saying we needed a different iteration. The team was easy to communicate with, and everything went smoothly from our standpoint. We didn't use any project management tools. We mostly used emails to communicate.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Flying V Group was very cost-effective and easy to work with. We're an old-school company in that sense. We like to communicate via email and keep everything in writing. If we needed something fast, we could call them. It was easy to communicate with Flying V Group, and the quality of their work was outstanding. They weren't bothered after all the iterations we needed to do.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Nothing comes to mind.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be detail-oriented about what you want. Flying V Group has a creative mindset. Since my job is to be the most efficient with my time and resources, I'd ask them, "What do you suggest?" Flying V Group would give me two good suggestions, and I'd choose the better one. It was seamless from that standpoint.

We don’t have a lot of web traffic, but the first thing a potential client does when they engage with a new company is look at their website to see how current and relevant they are in the space. Flying V Group has achieved that for us.
We’ve received some inbound questionnaire requests from the website, which shows that our traffic has increased. We’re happy with what they’ve built for us.

It's worth noting that the team has helped us with writing blogs, but our team has been heavily involved in editing. Our team has approved everything. Besides, our team also makes any artwork and other assets.
Flying V Group has managed our Google and programmatic ads. We have sent them artwork, and they've handled all of our PPC ads on Google AdSense.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Flying V Group's biggest success has been taking our site from not being ranked on Google to being ranked in the top spot for most of our important keywords. We've gone from not being on page one or two to being on page one.
They've helped us increase traffic to our website and collect a ton of leads. The team has also helped us implement a pop-up on our website that collects a lot of leads. We have run ads outside of Flying V Group, but they have been a big reason for our growth. We've gone from 20,000 to 50,000 leads, and we can attribute around 60% of that to their team.
How did Flying V Group perform from a project management standpoint?
Flying V Group has definitely stayed within budget. Initially, there were some hiccups from the project management standpoint. There were team members who weren’t communicating well. However, Robb and the team have actively changed things around to communicate better.
We have had a monthly call where we all get together to discuss results. We've mainly communicated via email.

Robb has shown many resources. In fact, he has demonstrated general knowledge and great ideas on how we can grow the account. We've always appreciated his insight and expertise in marketing. Our management team has probably needed more communication and a little more hand-holding. Many of the tools and strategies they've suggested were brand new to us. Introduce your business and what you do there.
We’re an engineering services company headquartered in Flint, Michigan. We primarily service companies that require automation of their manufacturing activities through the use of industrial robots. For instance, if a certain part of an automotive assembly line is still manual, we take all of the necessary CAD files, have a robot test out the environment, and see whether our systems could help accomplish the same tasks at the same speed as people, if not quicker.
I wear multiple hats in the company. My title is sales and marketing manager, but I take on the role of both an engineer and a salesperson.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Flying V Group?
We’re a small company composed of only 75 people. As such, we don’t have any internal marketing person. The one we previously hired turned out to be ineffective and lacking in experience, so we turned to Flying V to have a team of experts as opposed to having just one specialist.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Our initial engagement involved Flying V conducting SEO on our website. They figured out what errors existed on the site and checked whether there were sufficient forms and fields to capture the attention of our users. Their team also analyzed the number of visitors we were getting for each page and created a strategy for sections of the site that were getting very few numbers.
Flying V added more content and web-related forms to capture leads. All of our pages were optimized to boost our search engine rankings for certain industry keywords, which we jointly came up with. We also tried a Google Ads and Facebook ads campaign, though the latter wasn’t very effective for our type of business. Flying V did, however, post ads on LinkedIn to drive more people to our website.
Flying V created a bunch of landing pages for us as well, and these were tied to prerecorded webinars that we created to promote our software products.
What is the team composition?
At times, we work with up to five people, one of whom is a partner in the company and our main point of contact. He acted as our project manager until they brought in a director of customer success, who now represents us within Flying V.
How did you come to work with Flying V Group?
I did online research and recommended them to my company based on all the reviews that I had read.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested between $65,000–$75,000 for all of their services.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement started around September 2020 and is still ongoing. We continue to work with Flying V on tweaking and improving our strategies.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve begun to rank pretty highly on Google for certain products, getting listed in the first or second pages of search results. We’ve also received a lot of leads through our web forms and ads to the extent that it has necessitated the creation of a pipeline and a separate inbox. Of those leads, we’ve closed several opportunities.
We have yet to secure a good ROI, but it has nothing to do with Flying V. It is simply the nature of our business, which is extremely niche and targeted towards a very small group of companies. We wouldn’t have gotten the same opportunities had we not signed up with them.
How did Flying V Group perform from a project management standpoint?
Flying V is great at managing their relationships with their clients. They’re always on top of the deadline, promptly responding to our requests and keeping us on track if we delay. We never have to ask them repeatedly for something. Their team is professional, proactive, and good at capturing details the first time around.
We have biweekly Zoom meetings where we discuss updates, improvements, changes, and leads that come through our efforts.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What really stands out about Flying V is their professionalism and knowledge of the best strategies for our business.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I don’t have any complaints. They have exceeded our expectations. It would make us ecstatic to receive a flood of leads and multiple closed opportunities, but we only hired Flying V’s to market our products and help us gain, at the very least, prospective buyers.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Definitely consider working with Flying V. Get comfortable with their process and talk to them about their business so that you could understand how they generate leads, what their timelines are, and what services they could do for you. Evaluate their experiences especially with companies similar to yours.

I am the co-founder and COO of Thiozen. We are a new venture spun out of MIT that generates low emission hydrogen from sour gasses.

We recently closed a fundraising round and needed to upgrade our website. Our goal was to refresh our online presence and communicate our value proposition to our target audience.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
This vendor came recommended to me through my network. After getting quotes for three, they were the most economical.

I had an initial call with their Partner Robb, who first affirmed that this project was within their capabilities. He then asked me to fill out a form to communicate our needs. I filled out this form, offering other sites that compelled me and breaking down our target audience and story. From there, their team build draft websites. We communicated back and fourth on changes. We got to a point where we realized that we would need to make icons. This was a far more involved process, without charging extra, their partner and team went heads down to design from scratch these icons. We iterated a few more times on color choices, photos, and copy, until we hit completion.

We’re a premier RV and beach vacation destination company in Orange County and San Diego. Our services include beachfront cottages, RV sites, pools, private cabanas, and event services. For instance, we host weddings and other events. Both properties have been in existence for over 50 years, and one of our locations is known as San Diego’s favorite campground. I’m the director of marketing for both properties.

What challenge were you trying to address with Flying V Group?
We launched a new website and wanted to build our SEO standing and PPC advertising. We didn’t have the skills to do it in-house, so we outsourced the work to them.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
They advised us on both SEO and PPC. We provided them with some general goals, which were gaining visibility online so we could be found before our competitors. They handled related keyword research. For our website and social media accounts, they would give us suggestions on how we could make improvements for SEO purposes. Then, our team would build out the content.
What is the team composition?
We worked with Robb (Partner) and three other people.
How did you come to work with Flying V Group?
I did research on local agencies because I wanted to work with someone in the region. We tested their responsiveness, and I interviewed them via phone. We hired them based on that experience.

We’ve spent $30,000 on each property per year. However, the annual cost has decreased since we’ve been working with them.

We’ve been working with them since March 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our SEO standings have increased dramatically. Compared to 2019, we’ve seen a 76% increase in web traffic, despite the pandemic. We’ve reached over 1.3 million people through organic search from September–December 2020 alone. Because of their success, we were also able to cut our PPC costs by 26%. They used our PPC budget very efficiently.
Now, we’re showing up at the top of search results for keywords we’ve targeted. Our PPC campaigns are also performing nicely as far as driving new business.
Before our work with them, new customers had trouble finding our business online. Now, people are aware of our resorts, finding our services easily.

They provided some reporting tools that allowed us to track the performance of their work easily. We communicated via email and phone. They’re responsive and quick to answer whenever we contacted them with a request.
