Flying Cat has supported us in growing out content base of high-quality guides and playbooks on employee engagement and enablement topics. We have produced content at a rate of around 8-10 pieces per month. We have built out many new clusters of content on topics relevant to our core target demographic.

We significantly increased organic traffic while working together and have also seen a large increase in high-quality inbound leads that we can then send to our sales team. The work is of high quality, and we can really trust them to deliver great content on time and to a high standard. We also really enjoy working with te team as they are collaborative, they communicate clearly, and they have a strong set up on the project management side.

At one time we gave them an article topic that was VERY technical (because they had done so well with previous articles on quite technical topics) -- this was a bit of a stretch and didn't really work out -- but it only happened this way because they were so good on other topics.

I’m the content marketing lead at a small startup with about 30 teammates. We have a B2B SaaS platform for asynchronous collaboration. Our marketing team has only three members, and I manage all the storytelling, written content, and videos.

Since our company is small, we leverage outside agencies to help increase our impact, productivity, and what we can do as a marketing team. To do SEO right, we needed to have a lot of it and to have it done well. Finding a provider who could do both the technical and creative sides was essential. We hired Flying Cat Marketing for SEO.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Thanks to Flying Cat Marketing’s work, we’ve gone from having no SEO program to having regularly published SEO pieces that bring in organic traffic. The terms we rank for have also increased, including non-branded keywords, which has been a big goal. 

How did Flying Cat Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

They run a tight ship; everything is on time and within the budget. They’re also very proactive about fixing issues when they arise. For example, we had some issues with too many revisions at first, and Flying Cat Marketing took the time to discuss the matter with us and figured out we had different expectations of what an outline should be like. They fixed that quickly; we’ve gotten on the same page and now sail through revisions more easily.

We’ve been working with our editor, Kate (Content Lead), for a long time. I’d also like to give a shout-out to Varya (Client Account Manager). They’re both always trying to refine the process and determine the best way to work with us. 

They’re upfront about Flying Cat Marketing’s internal process and what they can adjust. Overall, they’ve done a great job of tweaking what they can to fit my schedule and adapt to our way of working.

Flying Cat Marketing cares about their relationship with their clients and is proactive. The team has excelled at suggesting new SEO tactics to work on. They stay on top of the trends and look around the corner to figure out what we should prioritize instead of simply continuing the same strategies.

Additionally, we’re based in North America, and their teammates are in South America and Europe. We appreciate having a diverse team in Flying Cat Marketing. We also like having meetings with the European teammates in our morning and their evening, when a lot of the work is already done.

We knew that we needed to produce a certain amount of content, and we also targeted the keywords. They assisted with this, but I don't think they developed it for us.

It's a skill I really appreciate because, with Flying Cat Marketing, we never had to worry about projects not being done on time. She was an excellent project manager. 

Rob (Head Content Editor) really understood SEO and content in a way that many editors may not be so familiar with. He really got both sides, and that was crucial for us. When Althaea became our second editor, she was also highly professional and deeply understood content and SEO, which was invaluable.

The goal was to boost our organic conversions without relying on paid advertising, and we chose SEO as our distribution channel looking to guarantee sustainable business results.

Even though we know that blogs don’t usually drive direct demo requests, we succeeded in generating 16 direct requests and increased assisted demo request conversions from zero to 529. We also experienced a remarkable 548% YoY growth in blog sessions, comparing traffic from May 2021 to May 2022. Our success can be attributed to thorough SEO research, detailed content planning, and leveraging insights from our sales teams and industry experts.

Our SEO presence was quite minimal. Our sales team was relatively inexperienced and hadn't been adequately trained to generate leads. We faced significant challenges in attracting inbound leads and producing unique content at the time.

Flying Cat Marketing managed the entire flow of content creation regarding blog posts, white papers, and case studies. 

Initially, we contacted Flying Cat Marketing for their copywriting services and expertise in managing SEO components. As we continued to work together, they went above and beyond by taking the initiative on larger projects. 

What started as a simple request for content creation and SEO campaigns evolved into a more complex challenge of establishing ourselves as industry thought leaders and improving our search rankings. 

Where immediate solutions didn't exist within the Flying Cat Marketing realm of what they offer, Pilar (Head of Client Account Managers) and Varya (Client Account Manager) were excellent at creating unique solutions. They made a bespoke content creation system that required no content writing and was highly automated. They took it upon themselves to create a process and a series of tools to create thousands of pages of content, which requires almost zero upkeep and maintenance on our part. That was a testament to not just providing a service but finding problems we didn't know existed and creating a solution as a one-off for us.

Operto owes much of its success and brand recognition to creating SEO-rated content that boosted the company to the top of search fields on various platforms, including LinkedIn. Their approach led to a significant increase in monthly revenue and contributed to our rapid growth. 

Flying Cat Marketing played a pivotal role in helping Operto craft its product story as they developed the product. Despite not having a ready-to-go suite of tools, the team at Flying Cat Marketing assisted in nurturing the message, ensuring that the SEO and content were already in place when it came time to launch the products. They developed a customized solution that not only increased our readership, but also solidified our position as one of the best in the industry.

If there was ever a delay in producing content, it was more on our side. In our early days of working with Flying Cat Marketing, our companies were relatively young and didn't have much capital. However, the team at Flying Cat went above and beyond to offer us affordable rates, allowing us to enter the critical SEO market that would have otherwise been out of reach.

In my opinion, there is always room for improvement. One area that companies should focus on is holding their clients accountable for meeting deadlines. While I appreciate the flexibility given to us, it also may have allowed us to become complacent with our delivery time. Despite the kindness shown by Flying Cat Marketing, a firmer approach to holding us accountable for our commitments would have been more beneficial. Overall, this is the only area where I see room for improvement.

My recommendation is to come with a very clear understanding of what it is you want to accomplish. Give Flying Cat Marketing the ability to execute from the moment you start the relationship. It's very easy to think you need a marketing or SEO partner without knowing the outcome. If you need help understanding the desired outcome but need help, let their team lead that research for you. Let them create that vision and stick to it.
