I’m the director of sales and marketing for an e-commerce marketplace.

What challenge were you trying to address with Flowium?
We wanted to increase Klaviyo-attributed revenue and needed help managing and optimizing our Klaviyo email marketing account.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Flowium helps us manage and optimize our Klaviyo email marketing account. We had a lot of things built already, so they didn’t start from scratch. They looked into our already well-performing account to optimize it. They've also created templates and automated emails for us.
What is the team composition?
We work with Robyn, who acts as our project management, Marissa, our strategist, a content teammate who helps with copywriting, and a technical account teammate.
How did you come to work with Flowium?
We found them through the Klaviyo partner directory. We chose them because we had a really good experience with Dayna at the start, who helped identify a lot of technical problems. Flowium was able to give us resources to troubleshoot some of those problems and overhaul our current environment. We decided to go with them because they were the most thorough and tailored in their pitch.
How much have you invested with them?
We spend $6,000 a month.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in June 2024, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve seen an increase in revenue through Klaviyo and an increase in our subscription list. We’ve increased our revenue over 1,000% to $133,000.
How did Flowium perform from a project management standpoint?
Robyn is a great project manager; she’s doing amazing. We use weekly Zoom meetings and have a Miro dashboard and agendas. They send recordings after meetings; they’re very organized.

I want to give Marissa a shout-out.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Flowium's work has met our expectations.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I wish they did things more retroactively in the account. If we design a new email footer, they put that footer on any content they put out. However, they don't go back retroactively in our account and apply it to old content, so we still have to do that ourselves. If they did things a little bit more retroactively or even if they added an additional payment to do all that retroactive work, that would be really helpful for a holistic approach.

Flowium's role is to understand all parts of our customer journey and to create automation touch points via the Klaviyo platform where an opportunity exists to extend value to our customer. Flowium has access to our design assets and has full range to work autonomously within our team to execute where needed. We have frequent meetings and monthly analytics briefings to measure success and brainstorm new ideas.
What was the team composition?
We work with a main liaison on the Flowium side who has seamlessly integrated with our team members. If there is something that requires more technical assistance, both parties will bring that person to the table.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Flowium has built a network of automation campaigns which account for 15% of our revenue, previously 5%. We're now testing new strategies on retention and repurchase rate to increase those by 10-20% in 2021.

I’m the CEO of an e-commerce dietary supplement company. We are involved in the health and wellness space. We also sell a few life science materials. We have a website, and we do general online marketing to track traffic to the site.

What challenge were you trying to address with Flowium?
Marketing is a huge component of the business, specifically email marketing. I neglected it and struggled with it for a period of time, but I realized I needed help with it.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Primarily, Flowium is doing email marketing for two of our accounts, including coordination with different tools like shipping emails where people are notified via email or SMS each time a package is about to be delivered. This helps the reduction of missed deliveries. There is a bit of a limit on the tools they use, but they are experts in Klaviyo.
They create email workflows that are more complex than a campaign with the copywriter, the designer, and the tech person who put everything together. The workflows include the welcome flow and the welcome series to receive the correct information. People will receive the newsletter depending on where they signed up. Flowium also designs the calendar for welcome emails in our different campaigns.
On top of that, there are certain aspects about the products we sell that can create a liability for us with the FDA if someone says something wrong. In order to avoid these misunderstandings, Flowium implemented a document with rules that each person who works on our account has to read. We have learned from the mistakes and there has been constant improvement.
Finally, they create all the different campaigns and promotions. They also have a liaison with our marketing team to coordinate the advertising strategies for social media.
What is the team composition?
We have one account manager per brand.
How did you come to work with Flowium?
I found Flowium online. I met the business owner and conversed with him. I was really impressed with his knowledge. He also was available and seemed conscientious. I found someone expert in the area and someone that I could work with. We were compatible, so it was a good fit.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in June 2017, and the project is still ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
My business email marketing has gotten much more sophisticated. It is difficult to mention metrics because I don’t have anything from email marketing before working with Flowium, but I can talk about the sales we have done through email, which is the biggest sales channel. It represents 25%–30% of our gross sales, so our total revenue is about $1.2 million on a monthly basis. We are earning around $300,000–$400,000 through email because of Flowium work.
How did Flowium perform from a project management standpoint?
Flowium's project management is good, although, over the years, the account representative who led us through onboarding changed. Once the person is acclimated and confident, they manage everything well.
We communicate through video messages or email, but my favorite is video. We occasionally do Zoom.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I signed up on Flowium a few years ago, and it’s actually been fantastic, they are knowledgeable. The aspect that I like the most is their competitiveness compared to other companies. They are one of the top recommended partners of Klaviyo, the email service. They have become experts in their field — I’ve watched them grow and get much more sophisticated. They also are competitive in their pricing.
I haven’t worked with many other email agencies, but definitely, the Flowium team is extremely professional and they know what they are doing. They have a high level of expertise and a good track record.
Are there any areas they could improve?
One weakness aspect was that occasionally we lose our Flowium account representative. I know there’s not much Flowium can do because it is the employees’ decision to leave and it can’t be avoided.
Any advice for potential customers?
As a business owner, it is hard to have time to do email marketing at a high level, so, if you know you can do better, Flowium is a great choice. If you want to take those responsibilities off and you want to make money, definitely, Flowium can do it.
