BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
Liebherr Appliance Division — a global equipment manufacturer, responsible for manufacturing refrigeration and freezer units for residential and professional use
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Fabrity, and what were your goals?
The current product change workflow was not consistent and not transparent. During the implementation of the changes in production, problems occurred again and again, which in the worst case resulted in production stoppages. The target was to replace the legacy solution to reduce maintenance costs, enhance user experience, and improve management and scalability.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
At Liebherr, we needed a reliable partner to develop a new system for managing product changes in our refrigeration and freezing business unit. Fabrity, using its own low-code platform FastAPP, delivered a solution that made it possible to centralize this business-critical process used by many users across different departments.
What we appreciated most was the fact Fabrity conducted the project end-to-end: from gathering business requirements to the QA phase. Last but not least, they built a clickable prototype quickly, allowing us to customize it in iterations as the project was evolving.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Gathered and analyzed business requirements
Conducted workshops with the client
Built a clickable prototype of the solution
Tested a solution prototype to verify business requirements
Worked in iterations according to agile methodology
Used a low-code platform (FastAPP—Fabrity’s own low-code platform and K2) to build automations, workflows, reminders, and notifications
Used micro frontends for UI to enhance the low-code solution with custom components
Conducted QA of the final solution
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
There were 2 people in the core team, including a project manager and an IT-analyst.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Reduced costs of maintenance and further development
Less errors in the process thanks to automation and standardization
Enhanced user experience thanks to the new UI
Better scalability of the solution that can handle thousands of users simultaneously
Quick onboarding to the process for new employees
Integration with company’s internal systems
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
The project management was perfect. The regular deadlines were met and started on time. We communicated via MS Teams and Jira.

Fabrity was hired by a fuel retail business to construct a mobile app that would digitize processes for retail customers, thus increasing sales. The team also created the app's UX/UI design.
Seven years after launching the app built by Fabrity, the client had nearly two million downloads. Moreover, the share of loyalty transactions was almost 25% of the total transactions, and the app had ratings of 4.3–4.5. Overall, the team's project management and development expertise were notable.
The client submitted this review online.
BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
My company is a major player in the fuel retail market. My role is product owner of a mobile application supporting this sale.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Fabrity, and what were your goals?
In the mid-2010s, there was an urgent need to build a mobile application for the retail customer to digitise the relationship with them and thus increase sales.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Fabrity was chosen by providing the entire process from concept support, UX/UI, development and maintenance. An additional argument was previous experience of cooperation and a strong position in the market.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We started the project by presenting a business concept with key functionalities. Fabrity then expanded and formalized the concept during a series of workshops. The next stage was to produce the UX/UI and move into develpoment with some milestones. Great attention was paid to stabilising the application.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Throughout the project Fabrity provided continuous PM support. The involvement of different groups of specialists from UX to developers increased and decreased in different phases of the project. All of this was properly controlled in order to maintain an adequate level of service while controlling expenses.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Currently, after 7 years since launch, we have almost 2 million downloads of the application in both operating systems. The share of loyalty transactions is approaching 1/4 of the total transactions. The app is very well rated - from 4.3 to 4.5.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Fabrity always provides very strong PM support. It is able to adapt to the working environment imposed by the principal. The majority of projects have been delivered on time, and if there has been an indication of delays she has been actively involved in generating contingency plans.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Fabrity has a remarkable ability to retain key employees which is not easy these days. This generally makes it easier to run new projects and maintain existing products. The fact that projects are highly flexible cannot be overstated either.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Fabrity is currently involved in a project to move to agile technology, which is intended to reduce time-to-market and improve product quality.

For what projects/services did your company hire Fabrity, and what were your goals?
The main goal of the project was to replace legacy software used to handle HR requests with a new solution tailored to the current needs of the organization.

Therefore, a bespoke solution to standardize and simplify the HR requests across the organization was needed. Additionally, company wanted to integrate the new solution into the organization’s existing ecosystem based on K2 platform.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Vendor (Fabrity) is our partner for around 10 years when technology used to build new applcation was introduced to our company. Building Roles module to manage user permissions across entire organization
Standardizing data entered by defining data dictionaries
Providing on-going support and maintenance for more than 3000 users
Technology used:
K2 BlackPearl and K2 SmartObjects were used to build processes. The platform backend was created using Microsoft .NET framework and Microsoft SQL Server, while React.js was used to build the platform UI. Additionally, the solution was integrated with existing systems.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

A home retail company appointed Fabrity (formerly K2 Digital Products) as their development and cloud services provider. The team also improves the client’s e-commerce site by enhancing its UX design and creating content.
Thanks to their profound attention to detail, Fabrity's (formerly K2 Digital Products) efforts have lifted the client above the national average for retailers in terms of conversion rate, customer satisfaction, and traffic. The team’s punctuality, responsiveness, and dedication solidify them as reliable partners.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I work for an international home retail company. My position is country e-commerce director; I am responsible for the website, online store, and other online activities.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with K2 Digital Products?
Our company had a global expansion, and we needed a web development partner for both local and international solutions.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
K2 Digital Products maintains our e-commerce website, handling all aspects of site maintenance and updating. Additionally, they provide cloud services. They have access to our CMS and are responsible for content editing — they’ve prepared materials, web pages, landing pages, and digital merchandising for our internal departments.
They also worked on our web and graphic design. Whenever we decide to build an entirely new solution or webpage, the designers are responsible for creating proposals to improve the site’s UX design. They primarily focus on the customer journey for the designs.
Furthermore, the team is responsible for knowledge sharing across their agency. When one of their resources leaves the project, they manage the knowledge transfer across their team. Since they have access to all of our confidential materials connected to the brand, they sign NDAs. We also have a final agreement for each fiscal year.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with numerous web developers, graphic designers, and UX experts from their team.
How did you come to work with K2 Digital Products?
They are a famous agency in Poland and had good recommendations, mainly because of their comprehensive knowledge of everything digital. The price was also crucial for us. As we are a global company, we have clear rules for working with any other agencies, so they prepared a pitch as part of the formal process.
I joined the company in 2017, but I know that they’ve had extensive experience here — they’ve been connected with the company for many years.
What is the status of this engagement?
The engagement has been ongoing since around January 2010. It has been over 10 years since they joined the team. They were already connected with the company when I joined the project.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The results have been great. The team’s efforts have improved our conversion rate — our current rate is 20%, which is significantly above average for local retailers. We’ve also seen an increase in customer satisfaction and traffic, a lower bounce rate, and so on.
How did K2 Digital Products perform from a project management standpoint?
We haven’t had any problems with deadlines; they are masters of adhering to the timeline. For project management, we have a Redmine database where we assign them tasks and projects. From there, the team takes over and tracks their progress until delivery. We also use an open-source database solution customized specifically for our company’s standards.
We have a clear scope of work, so we have no problems tracking projects. There are different sections for each of our projects, such as UX design, frontend and backend development, and graphic design. It’s been an outstanding collaboration — the communication between us is invaluable and is one of our partnership’s strengths.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m impressed by the quality of their services and how detailed their content creation process is. The team's deep understanding and know-how of our brand and tone of voice are crucial to our success. Their staff is outstanding, and their focus on KPIs is excellent.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We have regular meetings where we talk about best practices, so they’re improving every time. The DNA of our organization is learning by doing — we test and learn.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I recommend working with them — they are experts in website development and UX design. They are a very skilled and collaborative partner.

We started with a questionnaire on how K2 would address the project. We knew something had to be changed, but we didn’t know how our patients would react, or how we wanted to proceed.
K2’s product designer asked us a lot of questions and collected all the information about our company. They then interviewed our patients, initially conducting them face-to-face, until the COVID-19 situation made them switch to video conferencing. After that, they delivered a report covering our strengths as a company, and how our patients viewed our self-service solutions.
The design phase followed. K2 made low-fidelity samples, which they presented with explanations. We made more detailed designs after. They gave us guidelines on colors, design language, and everything else. Their team created 2–3 versions of the graphic designs, which we presented to patients for testing. They’ve also done copies for us.
The project’s taken longer because of COVID-19. We’re implementing the design internally, but K2 is providing support.
What is the team composition?
I’m working with Natalia (Account Project Manager), and I go to her whenever I need something. I’m also working with Mateusz (Product Designer), and one of their project managers who organize meetings. I work the most with those three, but I’ve worked with other people from K2 as well.
How did you come to work with K2 Digital Products?
We talked to 2–3 companies. We chose K2 because they had a full approach, going from research to design. They were able to provide everything we wanted in terms of support.
How much have you invested with them?
The project cost was around $300,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with K2 in December 2019, and the research lasted from March–August 2020. The engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We were overwhelmed by how much information we received from K2’s research. It was very useful, and my bosses were happy with their logical and fact-based presentation. K2 didn’t just pander to us; they studied our clients and gave us informed recommendations.
The platform has yet to be launched, so we don’t have any feedback from patients. The first go-live is planned for September 2021, and the full version will launch in March 2022. We’ll monitor after that, and we will have K2 analyze the data.
This is a big project, which needed a lot of funding. K2 has been instrumental in helping me push it forward. Their designs are not only good, they are data-based and logical, too.
How did K2 Digital Products perform from a project management standpoint?
We use Slack to communicate. Mateusz is very professional, and he always identifies new things that we could improve.
What did you find most impressive about them?
K2 is more than just a provider. They make me feel that they’re really invested and want to work on our project. Their holistic approach is impressive, too. They can take a project from scratch, and carry it from the research and analysis phase to design. We could’ve used K2 for development as well — we can solve all our problems with them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I’m really happy with the collaboration, and I don’t know what they can improve. I’d just be making something up.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
My advice is to be direct with K2 and not treat them as just a provider. They’re really honest. I talk to them about our problems and what we didn’t know, and they just help us.
