The project involved the design and development of a high-performance web application and landing page for PricePilot, a Comparison Shopping Service (CSS) designed to help e-commerce stores cut costs on Google Shopping ads.

By default, merchants using Google’s standard CSS pay a 20% fee per click. PricePilot eliminates this cost, replacing it with an affordable monthly or yearly subscription starting at just $22. This makes it an ideal solution for e-shops spending $440+ per month on ads.

A key challenge was speed and scalability. The web application was engineered using Next.js, allowing it to load up to 100% faster than competing platforms. This was achieved through a custom XML feed fetching system, ensuring near-instant data synchronization with e-commerce stores. The result is an intuitive, high-speed platform that allows merchants to effortlessly manage their Google Shopping presence.

The landing page was designed to drive customer acquisition by clearly explaining the value of CSS PricePilot, removing confusion around the Google Shopping CSS model, and guiding users towards subscription sign-ups. With a focus on conversion rate optimization, it effectively turns visitors into paying customers.

The business went from idea to first paying customer in just 30 days, demonstrating strong demand and product-market fit. Since launch, PricePilot has continued to attract new customers, scaling rapidly as e-commerce businesses seek more cost-effective advertising solutions.
