Our company needed a new website to replace an old outdated nonfunctional site. Erin at Evergreen went above and beyond in helping us solidify our branding (including our visual identity), build a new site including new sections she advised for SEO purposes, and has also helped after in maintaining the site and doing some marketing for us.

Erin has successfully worked with us on 4 projects: 

1. website re-design; 
2. business cards; 
3. catalogue layout; 
4. a demo site for a project pitch

For the website: we scrapped almost everything from our existing site and provided Erin with copy and loose ideas. She took everything we gave her, immediately reached out with suggestons for better presentation, copy, and enhancements, and worked closely with us through the development, with a focuos on SEO driven copy. The experience was beyond ideal--we love the end result, which elevated our online presence. Working with Erin was--and always is--a delight. 

For the business card--this was straightforward, but she approached it with efficiency and professionalism. 

For the catalogue--this is the third year we've been hired to produce the Wristwatch Annual. Erin works very closely with our production manager and an editor in Europe to lay out and keep organized a 300 page catalogue with hundreds of images and associated copy plus 5+ unique articles. I'm convinced the talent Erin brings to this project has driven us being rehired each year. 

Demo site: Our client wanted a visual presentation of our ideas for moving a print series to digital only. Erin worked very closely with our editors and me to bring this vision to life. Our clients admitted they were blown away. The credibility she give us is invaluable, plus she's just 100% great to work with.

We Have allot of information blogs and articles about health and fitness. We have many of our own photos. Evergreen Studios took all this info and reorganized it into a informative easy read site. 

we wanted it to be eye catching yet artistic. We didn't want to use many canned photos. We needed optimization of course. Evergreen did all of this, also they are always available for questions. When we had some issues getting posts correctly social media and google they were there for us. they now help us with social media posts..amazing!

I’m a freelance journalist, and I do work for a number of different media outlets.

What challenge were you trying to address with Evergreen Design Studio?

I noticed that many journalists had personal websites that helped them look more professional, so they could be hired to write freelance articles. I’ve pitched articles to editors, and when I don’t send a website, it may look like I’m not as professional. 

So, I decided that I needed a website to give editors reassurance without having to spell it out in an email. I also wanted to have control of the website and know how it worked.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I came up with all of the content ahead of time, and Evergreen Design Studio provided expertise on how to build the website, guiding me through the process. Erin (Founder & Lead Creative) walked me through every step. 

We did a video call where we shared our screens and she did a lot of the nitty-gritty tasks to set up the WordPress website. She placed everything where they looked good and I just entered the information after she had set things up.

I only work with Erin.

I’ve known Erin for a long time. She’s a trusted friend. 

How much have you invested with them?

She gave me a good discount, so I paid about $60 per hour. She did a lot of work and explained things to me ahead of time, and she didn’t charge me for that. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in July 2020, and the process only took a couple of days. We’re going to continue working together to build out different ideas that I have for the website.

It was a smooth process because of Erin’s guidance. When I pitch a story, I’m able to link the website. It looks great and I’ve received good feedback from a lot of people I know.

The communication is fantastic. Erin is a very easy person to work with because she’s clear in her instructions. We communicate on the phone and via Google Meet.
