Documentation:
While the team delivered working code and deployed the apps smoothly, some technical documentation (especially around APIs and infrastructure setup) could have been a bit more comprehensive for future reference.

What were your goals for this project?

To develop 2 native apps (IOS and Android), working with an Admin Panel Web. Create an intuitive and smooth interface with options to scale or modify in real-time.

The language was a challenge too because this app was developed in English, and I require Spanish too.

3. UI Design Collecting every information about the design soul of the product and tone of the brand to reflect them in the product, I use Atomic Design Model to organize our assets in Atoms > Molecules > Organisms > Templates > Pages
4. Prototyping Create. Creating prototypes for Stakeholders to show the flow of the app and where things are placed on the UI helps in a quick understanding of the flow and detailed feedback from stakeholders.

We are now testing the final products, and we are close to launching them on the app stores.

Considering Black Patch is in México, it was very good. The project manager is a clue piece to make things happen. Taking advantage of technology like Whatsapp, Zoom, and others, the workflow was smooth.

As I mentioned before, working side to side with the CTO and the CEO, was the best part. This shows a big commitment not only with the project but with me too.

Our online job board was prone to crashes, and it always took days for our contracted developers to resolve the issue. We needed a new development team to perform regular maintenance and troubleshoot site crashes promptly.

Esferasoft functions as our company’s IT department, so they’ve helped us with all of our website needs. To prevent frequent crashes, they redeveloped the backend; We’re running PHP on an Apache server, and we’re using the X-Cart database for an optimized e-commerce experience. They also redesigned the frontend and use WordPress and Joomla for content management. I needed someone to build my platform from scratch.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed our platform with the core system is written in Python. The main functionality connects directly to the shop system on the vendor or designer side, as well as on the merchant or retailer side. The vendor can connect to our system via a shop system plugin and they can add products to our system. On the retail side, they can also connect via a plugin from their shop system to our system and add those vendor products to the online shop without having to wholesale buy them.

We acquire the payments from the retailer and forward them directly to the vendor. It’s a real-time solution for order handling as well as products and stock levels. We finished the first version of the software in fall last year, but they continue to work on more features.

I worked with a project manager and there was also one main developer I talked to.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve had good feedback from our customers. We have a few high-profile clients, but only a select few. It’s not an open system; instead, it's by invitation only. It’s important that if the client encounters any problems or issues with the software, we can solve them as quickly as possible. We have a very direct connection to our clients, which means we need to have a direct connection to Esferasoft too. So far, the response time is very good and very quick, which has had a good impact on our bottom line.

How did Esferasoft Solutions Pvt Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

I discuss new and current milestones with the project manager. They’re based in India and we’re in Berlin, but the communication has been really good. If I text or call them, there’s always someone readily available. After having worked with them for more than a year now, the people I’m directly in touch with know the project well. It’s easy to communicate if there are any problems or requests from our side.

Since we had a very complex solution in mind, they needed to find a creative solution for some parts, which took a bit longer. In general, they’re good at adhering to deadlines.
