What challenge were you trying to address with Dizzain?

We needed a provider to take over a massive website build for a rebrand. We had an in-house developer who didn’t have the capacity to manage the build of a new website along with the day-to-day of our existing website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We've given Dizzain documentation, designs, and content, but they weren't fully fleshed out. It was a rebrand, so we were redesigning everything, including our marketing materials. Dizzain has seen the look and feel we were going for, and from there, they have created new pages and experiences and helped us with the entire creation of the new site.

Dizzain has helped us with design and development. The website is built on WordPress. They've taken care of launching it on the server and getting the hosting set up. They also do maintenance and everything. Now that the website is complete, we use them as our agency of record for website development and maintenance.

I know Alex from working together previously. The project manager is a developer named Igor. The designer is Tatsiana. There are other people involved, but I don't know them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We're seeing more traffic than we were last year. Whenever we launch a new website, we take a bit of a hit in terms of SEO and paid search. We've seen that dip as we expected, but it's been minimal, and we've recovered from it quickly because Dizzain knew how to set it up.

How did Dizzain perform from a project management standpoint?

Dizzain stays on budget for the most part. They're good at communicating if deadlines are at risk. Generally speaking, they've delivered what they've said they would when they would. We've used monday.com for most things. We communicate via email, Zoom, Google Meet, phone calls, and Slack. We work on Slack together quite a bit and have weekly calls with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their reliability is impressive. They take a lot of pride in their work and make sure that it's pixel-perfect and that there aren't any performance issues they can control. Dizzain is strongly committed to delivering exactly what we envision, from design to the end product.

Dizzain is strongest in WordPress development. They take very complex projects and build a strong, organized, and methodical project plan. They help you, as the client, stay organized and know what to expect.

Dizzain is our agency of record and was tasked with reversing a multi-year trend of declining performance in paid search and paid social campaigns. We were aiming to improve the execution of our campaigns with one goal - drive more revenue with our advertising dollars.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have quickly benefited from our engagement with Dizzain. Within the first few months, our dollars have been shifted into strategies that drive more incremental business (moving dollars out of branded search) and our cost per acquisition has been significantly lowered (lowered by at least 60% for non-brand and about the same on a blended basis). They have delivered radical results while providing a lot of value outside of the scope of the project to help us optimize additional channels, such as website conversion and email.

The project involved the rebuild of a corporate website with a new brand identity that was created by our agency. We relied on Dizzain to carry out Art Director's vision forward, implement best practices with regard to UX/UI, and integrate the website with key CMS and marketing automation platforms, all in an extremely tight timeline.

Our project was implemented in an extremely tight time frame as we had a narrow window of time in which to introduce the company rebrand to a global audience. Dizzain met all the deadlines established, even when the delivery of the source material was not on time from the client side. They've demonstrated a commitment to excellence and worked with us as a true partner since day one.

The project management from Dizzain is impeccable.  Since our project originated over a year and a half ago, we have had one point of contact for Project Management, with an executive-level contact that has remained involved from the fast-track website build compressed into only a couple of months, through today.  Our Project Manager Yegor is friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and manages his team very well. 

Dizzain met all the deadlines established, even when the delivery of the source material was not on time from the client side. Their responsiveness is unmatched across both EU and US time zones (we operate in both and so do they). They have never missed a deadline and consistently deliver on time, within budget, and with comprehensive, well-organized documentation that we can easily share with our clients.

We are operating in a world and in an economy that is transforming quickly. The only thing constant is change. Creative agencies are challenged to keep up with the pace and we need solid partners we can depend on to execute the work our clients demand. We engaged Dizzain to rework our branding and develop a brand-new website from the ground up. For branding, we wanted a full redesign of our logo and brand identity with a unified design to be used across all our company messaging, be that internal or external. That meant new style guides and templates across all of our business collateral.

For the website, we wanted a full reboot with a website that felt engaging and conveyed the complexities of our scientific technology platform in an easily understood manner. This meant the development of multiple pages, interactive graphics, and explainer videos, as well as new content creation.

Dizzain's project management is top-notch. Even before we started the project they provided a detailed project plan and Gantt that worked within the constraints of our tight timelines. To fit our project within the timelines was a tough ask, and Dizzain delivered at every step of the way. Communication was very clear and any changes that we requested were quickly implemented.
Overall, the high quality of the project management has greatly exceeded our expectations and made Dizzain a pleasure to work with.

Dizzain not only delivered us a new website and new branding that by far exceeded our expectations but did so promptly and without any timeline creep. I also like to stress that the subject matter of our website is scientific and deeply technical, and the team at Dizzain went above and beyond to understand it so they could then re-present it accurately in the web design. Weekly goals were measured by number of conversions and target CPA at or below target, which the company met or exceeded in most instances. During initial stages of ad programs, there is always an adjustments period as ads optimize which was explained up front and understood by our team.

Dizzain devised a strategy and conducted a series of experiments across multiple channels with Google and Facebook Ads emerging as the most viable channels for us. They created a set of campaigns segmented by geo locations, designed creative ads, and constantly rotated and experimented to run the best-performing mix while accounting for external factors including seasonality, competition, economic forecasts, etc.

We saw a double-digit increase in the number of leads generated for the business as a whole, and a triple-digit increase in the number of conversions from our website.

We like how thoughtful they are, their focus on data, and their ability to derive actionable insights from that data. Also, they are able to tie together a broad set of capabilities beyond just running a successful PPC program--for example, they proposed a number of improvements to our website UX with the goal of increasing a conversion rate and improving ad rank, which in turn lowers our CPA.

So far, there is nothing we would change or have them do differently.

I’m the co-founder of GainsGurus. We essentially take a BI view of the stock market, trends, and what stories the data tells; we determine how to invest based on data analytic trends.

What challenge were you trying to address with Dizzain?

 I needed help with website development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They built a WordPress site and connected a database from my local PC to an AWS instance using a WordPress API. The information on my website automatically updates. Additionally, they built a number of charts and data visualizations using Chart.js and integrated Strip and PayPal.

Users can sign into their account on my website through Google and then choose from free or paid versions of my offerings.

To build the site, we worked through a number of prototypes that showed of different color schemes. They also provided us 10–20 logos to choose from. We narrowed down the options through critiques and then made our decisions.

What is the team composition?

We worked with one person, Yana (Software Testing Engineer), and she had a whole team behind her. She’s a project manager, so I funneled feedback through her.

How did you come to work with Dizzain?

One local resource told me that he could probably help with my site but that it would take way too much time, as his team was small. I then found Dizzain on Clutch and sent emails to 15-20 businesses.

The choice came down to three options, but I liked Dizzain’s approach and transparency the best. When I spoke to other vendors, they would beat around the bush, but Alex (COO) was straightforward. Rather than trying to sell me on a costly business analyst before giving a cost estimate, Alex was straightforward and gave me a ballpark figure for the whole site.  

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $25,000–$35,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January–September 2021. I’m going to want to add another 7–10 visualizations to the site at some point, but I don’t have the funding for that right now.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We went through a couple of months of ironing out the design and UI, as well as testing for the charts, and I asked a number of friends of mine who’d signed up for the site to give me feedback. They thought Dizzain had created a nearly finished product. I’m 100% satisfied.

How did Dizzain perform from a project management standpoint?

I met weekly with the project manager and then spoke with her over regular phone calls and Zoom meetings. During the development, I was working another job and Dizzain was flexible if I needed to reschedule because something came up last minute.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I didn’t have a large budget, but Dizzain still delivered a fairly complicated site. We figured some things out on the fly, including data visualizations. I was working in Tableau but would have had to purchase a large server from them to integrate the visualizations, so Dizzain devised a solution using Chart.js. They rebuilt the models at a cost-effective price point.

Are there any areas they could improve?

You’ll run into this with a lot of vendors, but Dizzain is in another time zone. It’s impossible to help that so I don’t have much to say. I was very satisfied with their process and approach.

Be as detailed as possible in emails and communication.

We selected Dizzain after talking to them about their process. They were really good about understanding current UX and UI standards and trends. They have a diverse portfolio of clients, and they discussed ideas that were smart and creative. T

After initial project discussions, Dizzain develops a project brief that explains, in detail, the project goals, process of dev, completion dates, and budget. Once approved, Dizzain designs proofs and prototypes that are discussed and iterated if necessary.

From there, they build out final designs that go through another round of approval, QA testing, and/or iterations. Final project designs are then launched and tested. The entire process is very dynamic and agile, with our teams coordinating throughout.

Yegor Kudrytski is our one point of contact who handles everything as far as project management from Dizzain's perspective. He's very efficient at understanding the project goals, getting the team updated, and delivering stellar quality on time and within budget.

Our brand and social awareness are improving consistently month over month with Dizzain's help. Our unique site visits have increased by 60% and our total site traffic has increased by 20%

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The work process is efficiently using Slack and Zoom for communications. We have re-occurring meetings weekly for updates and reviews. Our project management tickets are updated daily and any visuals are presented by Yegor as necessary.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Dizzain is by far the best agency I've worked with from a communication, knowledge, innovation, and execution perspective. They're great at offering fresh solutions and aligning these to the success of the business.
