Their scope includes full mobile app development (architecture, UI/UX implementation, testing, and deployment), ongoing maintenance, feature enhancements, and performance optimization. The team also handles backend and API integrations with our IoT pet wearable, support for Bluetooth connectivity, GPS location tracking, pet activity monitoring, and health features. DiscoverTec collaborates on user account management, plan subscriptions, and customer onboarding workflows. The team has also implemented CMS integrations and tools for marketing and customer engagement. The main deliverable is a fully developed, scalable, and user-friendly mobile app platform and connecting ecosystem that integrates the Link smart pet wearable and all features and functionality.

The primary challenge is that, with DiscoverTec's support, we're building an entirely new smart pet technology platform from the ground up. It's a system that ingests and interprets complex movement data from our wearable device, defines meaningful and precise activity algorithms, and communicates that information to users in a way that is both intuitive and actionable. This was more than just app development; it was the creation of an end-to-end connected ecosystem, with no pre-existing models to follow.
The platform's scalability has allowed the app infrastructure to support a growing user volume without compromising responsiveness or reliability.
