I work as a marketing specialist for a large online garden store. We offer our customers everything they need to create their gardens: plants, flower bulbs, garden tools, fertilizers, garden accessories, and more.

We wanted the platform to offer a better user experience—especially for mobile users—through a responsive design. We also were looking to automate and, therefore, improve order processing.

First, Develtio helped us to audit a consulting project in which we analyzed our prior business processes and found areas where we can improve. We then devised solutions to modernize and digitize our most important business processes. After that, Develtio created our e-commerce platform from scratch. They were in charge of the wireframes, design, implementation, and integration with our warehouse system.

The team consisted of a project manager and a lead programmer for the e-commerce solution.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We’ve given our customers a solution that better suits their needs. Our company had a lot of orders driven by our printed catalog. The new website helped convert users from print to our online channel, and our digital channel has grown steadily ever since. We also observed a crucial, year-over-year increase in the number of mobile user visits, which have converted into leads. 

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Develtio ran the project in a very friendly and helpful manner. We didn't encounter any communication difficulties. We appreciate the results that we got from this cooperation, and we would not exclude the opportunity for any future work with Develtio.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Develtio demonstrated a high level of expertise and engagement in the process. We've found it helpful that the Develtio team has additional marketing skills; they not only did our programming but also gave us advice through the digitization process on many levels.

I wanted to keep all the information and scans about accounts in one place. The ideal system would automatically send invoices and emails reminding clients about due dates of payment. I also wanted to keep track of how much time we spent on a given client.

We met and I showed them my client information in Google Docs spreadsheets. Then, we had a brainstorm session at the Develtio office, drawing out some screens of how the system might work. 

Then, after a week or so, their project management sent me mockups in a PDF. I gave them my feedback, and they started programming. We tested the system, solved errors, and then they deployed it. This system collects information about client accounts, time spent on specific projects, and it sends invoices and offers created for specific clients. After the launch, I asked Develtio to train a few people at my firm.

I mainly worked with a project manager from Develtio and a designer.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The main impact is that all our customer data is in one place, and it's always up to date, so it’s been faster to work on our accounts. Thanks to automated reminders about upcoming invoices, clients pay faster and more regularly — this solved a huge problem for us.

Project management has been very good. I didn't have to explain anything to the programmers because everything was taken care of by the project manager.

They proposed a very good solution based on my spreadsheets. Develtio quickly delivered exactly what I wanted.

The scope of the project included web platform creation. Develtio supported us from the business requirements' clarification step, through development, testing to platform production realise. The platform has been delivered and implemented on time and passed all acceptance tests.

I mostly worked with one person who was a Project Owner of the project, but occasionally the other members of the development team (developers, tester) have been engaged.

Our client is very satisfied with the service and the fact that they could implement the platform in accordance with their business plan. We are also pleased with this collaboration, we appreciate the final result and the positive feedback, which is beneficial for all parties involved.

The project management was in agile style, with sprints organized every two weeks. The team was efficient and collaborative, and they listened to the client's needs and showed exceptional flexibility.

We worked in 2-week sprints with a review meetings and planning meetings every sprint. We used Google Meet for meetings and communication.

They showcased excellent communication and impressive knowledge in the field of web system design. They also gave non-technical advice in crowdfunding area like choosing tools and solutions for later operation of the platform. Our deadlines were met.

Price factor was quite important. Also Robert - their tech lead (later tech. PM) was very resposive and adaptive to our needs.

Yes, the app was released, although slightly over time (due to the organizational difficulties with the payments component)

Great tech style of Robert, very adaptive, elastic and responsive. Honestly, I think they did not make much profit on this project because they often went an extra mile without asking for extra payment.

Giving this extra efford, without asking for extra payment.

Well, naturally the project was a bit off-time, so naturally, they could be more pushing in the terms of timing.
