We hired Codedesign for work on both consulting agencies. On my personal consultancy, they helped with improving our organic SEO, conversion on sales pages, and redesigning key pages to improve our overall sales funnel.
On our relationships consultancy, they helped with strengthening branding, distributing virtual courses, and developing creative messages to expand our reach. On both projects, they also created advertising campaigns to generate leads and share our content to a broader audience.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We looked for a marketing company that not only seemed professional and knew their craft, but felt ethical. We really liked that they were on the cutting edge of best practices and did not have any "icky" sales tactics. Through our entire time working with Codedesign, we always felt they tried to take the honest yet effective marketing path.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and marking tools used.
First, they interviewed us in detail to fully understand our current approach, challenges, and overall goals. From there they designed a detailed plan of action that includes a deep dive into our analytics. They showed us what was working, where to improve, and where people were converting. Right from the beginning, we had a much clearer understanding of the areas to focus on and what would make the biggest difference.
From there, they started implementing all sorts of tracking and dashboards to capture all the data in an easy to view manner for us. We had an extensive overview of every part of our business which further provided clarity. That includes their custom dashboard, tools like HotJar, and integrating all the right pixels and such with Google Search Console. Every week after we were getting updates and movement on key areas in our businesses.
One week they would analyze all the on page SEO improvements and where to improve our articles. The next they setup all the ads needed on Google, Facebook, and YouTube for brand awareness, prospection, and driving qualified leads for our coaching programs. They helped us plan out an entire funnel for a new course we developed including all the newsletter sequences, ideas for getting more interest (Q&As), and helped integrate all the right pieces with our course software, Zapier automations, and analytics. Additionally, they encouraged us to launch our YouTube channels and taught us the best practices. Immediately, we were able to start growing our channel consistently and make it another worthwhile avenue to reach our target markets.
They went above in beyond with design. Whether that was producing visual ads, improving our course pages, or designing my main sales page and content overview pages. They helped polish up everything and make us look much more modern and professional. There's so much more to list but that should give you an idea of the scope and skill they have.

We worked with two project managers, two ad/PPC specialists, two social media managers, a design team, a technical conversion specialist, and even the CEO/owner himself contributing ideas and checking in with us. I may be missing someone but suffice to say, they had someone for any need we had.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
They increased my personal consultancy traffic at least 20% immediately through SEO work after an algorithm update. Our overall consultations doubled and so did our client acquisitions. Increased engagement time and lowered bounce rate significantly. We are already growing our YouTube channel from nothing to almost 600 subscribers in under 3 months.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We had separate weekly meetings for individual projects. They always brought to the table their next steps and vision so we could see a clear path. They would send meeting summaries and overall reports at the end of each month. They worked to learn our project management software and collaborate on that platform. And most of all, they were readily available on WhatsApp when we had questions. We always felt we had an open channel of communication and could reach them for support whenever we needed it.

It comes down to two things: the scope of their team and its knowledge. Nowadays, you need to know a little bit about everything and how it all pieces together: SEO, social media, conversion, PPC/advertising, etc. The other is their ethics. I always felt they gave us solutions that felt healthy and long-term, not just cheap short-sighted fixes. I genuinely believe that stems from their leadership and the founder Bruno. He clearly cares about the work they deliver and values integrity.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Honestly, the only thing would have been an English native copywriter to help with ads and social media. But, we expected that and they tried their very best to help in that regard. They would deliver great ideas and I would just polish them up a bit.

Their positivity and willingness to try new things. This project was frustrating for everyone at times due to our target market's limited online presence. Nevertheless, the team dug team to try and prove value of digital channels.

Towards the end of the project, we realized that we were getting lower cost per lead with local language-based ads. Maybe we could have invested more in that approach from the get go to see if it helped us generate better results.

Codedesign was hired to strategize and manage the overall PPC campaign inciatives whose objectives were targeted to both lead generation and e-commerce growth.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Codedesign's PPC strategy proposal and considerable know-how in how to leverage our PPC budget to its full extent were the key deciding factors.

An initial strategy was laid out in accordance with our key objectives, followed by detailed iterations of the implementation according to objectives and products details. After a top-line evaluation there was a more tactical and detailed oriented approach around keyword selection, which involved a back and forth between Codedesign's PPC campaign manager and our technical evaluation of keywords.
Once the initial keyword list and campaigns were determined per key objective, there campaigns were place live. A dashboard with key metrics for campaigns and website engagement was developed to keep track of all relevant objectives. A weekly meeting is set after initial setup so all campaigns are discussed and improved consistently every time, as well as the implementation of any additional campaigns.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Ecommerce conversion metrics were consistently met with a monthly average of 650% ROAS - meaning a considerable increase in revenue attributed to paid media efforts. Campaign improvements and dashboard adaptations were also delivered every week. On top of that, overall website metrics improved month after month. Unique users increased, Bounce rate decreased, pages per session increased.

They have a flexible and adaptable project management style, being able to quickly overcome initial hurdles and quickly understand key obstacles in our industry. Data Studio dashboard for metric evaluations were critical. MS Teams was the standard tool of choice for meetings and they were always a phonecall away for emergencies. Overall, they’ve always been helpful, empathetic, and approachable.

The level of professionalism and can-do attitude, as well as their abillity to provide solutions for any digital obstacle or objective. Their perception and knowledge of the digital realm and the paid media landscape were paramount in achieving our objectives.

Code Design was always a breath of fresh air! We have approached several companies in the market and Code Design brought us, from day one, a very differentiated and straight to the point strategy, apart from a very elucidative speech and a strong know how and track record.
It was a no-brainer... An example of this approach:
On the first meeting, Code Design made a deep list of questions about Mexto, in order to fully understand the challenge that I was suggesting and the result of their proposal was quite relevant and accurate.

Step by step, they where taking care of all digital tools from the company, conquering our trust and therefore a becoming #1 partner for this area. We have stated with the main basic review and implementing best practices on all brand and product websites, in order to work first on the organic search.
For this, we have also created youtube channels, facebook/ Instagram/LInkedin pages, etc. Secondly, we have integrated a differentiated strategy, based on each project (product = residential developments) and specific targets.
Although we are always talking about residential buildings, the fact is that they are quite different and it was fundamental to treat all of them as single / independent strategies. This was the main key of success.
For this, we have used, in some cases, landing page strategies and quite dynamic Facebook/Instagram advertising, content strategies, video, etc... Code Design was producing it all. The campaigns where rolling in different countries and, therefore, with the necessary adaptations and specifications.

Never more than 2, usually just myself and their team.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The best results was, obviously, the conversion into sales and this was a constant within the product campaigns. Some of our developments sold out easily and, the main goal was fully achieved, with was to make Mexto's direct sales channels top #1 on sales, since we where also adding brokers with further bigger budgets and digital strategies.
On a second level, not so measurable but highly effective was the fact that Mexto become an opinion maker on the national market and this was also due to the constant visibility that we where able to bring into the brand.

Very professional and clear and with quite interesting online tools to share all information, such as Trello, etc. We usually had a meeting per week but WhatsApp was always on for any doubt.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I chose Codedesign because they’re one of top agencies in Lisbon, which is where I launched my company. I had worked with Bruno in the past, and I know he has a lot of experiencing launching new brands and bringing ideas to market, and so I immediately considered working with him. But I spoke with some other agencies as well, and their approach was too tactical. I have experience in digital marketing so I didn’t want a templated proposal for a PPC campaign- I wanted a strategic and longterm vision for my project, and I knew this was something I could trust with the Codedesign team.

They started by creating data-driven customer personas, and identified and researched the specific locations that would be the best for my initial market entry. They helped me fine tune my communication strategy based on the personas and their different stage of the customer journey. They also laid out an action plan for me which included sales channels, investment per channel, and ROI per channel.

Their ability to think strategically. A lot of agencies tend to suggest throwing money at problems. When you work with CD, you know you have a team of people actually putting their thinking caps on and trying to solve your problem, not just look for the easy answer.

They use Microsoft Teams for their project management which I personally find a bit clunky.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
We’re a manufacturing organization, so we work with many retailers in Portugal. We sell household and food products, and we’re currently launching new cosmetic products via e-commerce.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Codedesign?
We needed help on the e-commerce side, so we brought in Codedesign. They’re a company specializing in online sales.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Codedesign helps us with our marketing strategy to approach e-commerce, a new distribution channel for us. Initially, we presented them with our brands, our products, the technical advantages of our products, and our target audience.
After that, they made a market study for us to help us analyze the market and the opportunity that our products would have. Then, they created a strategy for communicating our brands effectively in that market.
They also designed our online store and helped us implement all of the intelligence needed behind it. This included setting up our Google Ads account and creating a dashboard to see our store’s statistics.
Codedesign has worked with us on many phases of this project and many different areas of our business, not just sales. For example, they also support us in creating marketing strategies for our e-commerce site.
Currently, they also help us improve our site as needed. For example, they can implement new drop-out menus and banners to attract potential clients.
What is the team composition?
I usually work directly with two people from Codedesign, but we have a total of five people from their team working on our project. Their team includes two of their managers and an online marketing designer and specialist.
How did you come to work with Codedesign?
We met them through a mutual point of contact. We were searching for an e-commerce-focused company, and this point of contact recommended us to Codedesign.
We chose them because we loved their presentation, and they were very professional. From the start, we knew that they understood about e-commerce and the online market. They demonstrated their expertise by providing us with their insight during that first presentation by just knowing a bit about our brands.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around €50,000 (approximately $58,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together around the last quarter of 2020, and our engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve been preparing our whole strategy to launch the site in December 2021. Thus, as we haven’t gone live, we don’t have any results yet. We will be monitoring our sales, traffic, and impressions over the first two months after launch. Of course, as we’re launching a new brand, we don’t expect a lot of sales, but we definitely hope to see a gradual increase.
How did Codedesign perform from a project management standpoint?
Codedesign has performed very well, and they’re very organized. They keep documents with the timelines and objectives, and we have meetings where they inform us about the status of the project in detail. Our meetings are both in-person and via video conference.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Codedesign’s professionalism distinguishes them from other providers. They’re very professional and straightforward. For example, if they don’t see any potential in a particular effort or strategy, they tell us. They don’t want to sell anything that they know is not going to work — not everyone does that.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No. As we were mainly an offline company, they’ve helped us with everything related to e-commerce. This project wouldn’t have been possible without them.
