We needed two mobile apps to increase the performance of our field service technicians and operators as well as for auditing the fleet inventories. There are many trucks used by the technicians and the inventory needs to be maintained in a proper way. It used to be done manually, and we wanted a mobile app that could record all the information that directly enters the backend, so we hired Credencys Solution for this task.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Credencys Solutions developed mobile apps for logistic purposes. They track the location, the collector that goes in, and the specific equipment at that location. Once those details are mapped, the apps record collection amounts and transfer the data to the backend. Both apps are very user-friendly despite having many features. Credencys Solutions’ team mostly used Node.js and MySQL Lite. They also gave us operation support for the applications.

It was a fixed-bid product, so we didn’t have a large team. I communicated primarily with their U.S.-based project manager.

I am the project head for a beauty and wellness company. We began our retail operations a couple of years ago and we currently have around 55 stores in India.

What challenge were you trying to address with Credencys Solutions Inc.?
We wanted a service that could control our advertisements as well as banners and promotions dynamically throughout our stores. As there are changes throughout the day when it comes to sales and promotions, we wanted a service who could control the content we are playing on our screens in-store in a very timely and effective way.
We were also planning to install an app in our system and put them on a couple of monitors in the store where customers can browse for products on their own.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Each of our stores has digital signage. We play promotional videos of the products we sell in-store to display to flash offers and sales. These videos also help to inform our customers about upcoming events. We use Credencys Solutions Inc. to optimize the storage and plan all the events in advance. They also take care of the downtime in the stores.
We also built an Android-based product catalog of all of our products to be displayed on the screen. It allows the customer the ability to come to the interactive screen where they can type in the products they are looking for on the screen.

Customers have asked about the screens. We have people find out about the offers from the screens, which is great. In terms of management, we can schedule an event without someone having to get up at 5 a.m. to upload all the videos in the system. The dashboard plans out all of our commercial activities.
In the interactive catalog, customers able to read more about the products as well as see the ratings and reviews. We wanted to tie the online and offline world into one place. In that sense, Credencys provided us with an Android-based machine where we can load the application. When the screen is not in use by the customer, the screen will clear and will go back to playing videos and banners.

We were impressed. We never had any problems with them. All the downtime and maintenance were planned in advance. They were more than happy to take care of any issues that did come up.
What did you find most impressive about them?
When we had a planned event that didn’t go as we wanted, they took our call even if it was their day off and fixed the problem for us. They've been very helpful in monitoring the screens for us and have been very kind to look at our stats within their system to see which screens aren’t working.

They’ve consistently delivered a functional and reliable product. If something ever breaks, they always come back and fix it. We’ve had about 2,000 local downloads, and about 400 business users. We’ve definitely had some success, locally. User feedback has been mixed, and there are still a few enhancements we can make to make things more user-friendly. It’s difficult when there are other companies that have millions of dollars and their UI is world class, and everyone expects every other app to be that good. We’re in the process now of gathering feedback and going ahead and doing a second push and completely rehauling the consumer interface of the app.

They’ve been very good. We use Jira, email, and we connect once a week since they’re offshore. They respond very quickly to emails, and there’s absolutely no issues with the time barrier.

I would say their technical skills. Whenever I give them requirements, they’re able to deliver. I don’t usually have to explain much, since their team is spot-on. No matter if the issue is complex, they’re able to understand the issue and deliver. Overall, they’re able to process requirements very well.

They’re lacking a little bit on the Android side since iOS is their strength. Maybe on the Android side, they need a few more seasoned developers.

I’m the director of Talash Infosoft Pvt. Ltd., an online retailer.

What challenge were you trying to address with Credencys Solutions Inc.?
We needed help with migrating our old e-commerce platform to Magento. We also wanted to expand our platform into an online marketplace.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Credencys was instrumental in solving our complex platform challenges. At a high level, they helped us migrate our e-commerce platform to Magento and helped us create a very robust marketplace platform.
In the process, they customized the Magento because Magento doesn’t come with a marketplace platform. They also deployed it on AWS and made it auto-scaling. Additionally, they made sure that our store was available 24/7 during the peak times and traffic spikes. Overall, they created a fully functioning platform with all of the features we required.
What is the team composition?
There was one project manager assigned for our project. We also communicated with a tech lead and a developer that handled the migration.

They were referred to us, and we were very pleased with the outcome.

We started working together in June 2016 and wrapped up in late 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Working with Credencys was a pleasure. They were able to design a very complex system that connected the merchant, the tax authority, and also including commissions. Without the approach that they took, it would’ve been impossible. If they had developed the system according to the basic information, we had given them, it would’ve been catastrophic. We appreciate that they knew how to do what was in our best interest.
How did Credencys Solutions Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?
Our communication was superb. The experience they brought to the table was excellent. They know Magento inside and out which helped the project go smoother. They asked good questions and made us think of things we had not thought of. They’re not only good at communication, but also have a very consultative approach. We felt lucky to have them on board.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We loved how proactive they were. In some cases, we didn’t have responses in time for them, but they were still really hands-on in following up and reaching out to us. They kept tabs on what needed to be done and that really helped our team stay on their toes.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Given that we’re an e-commerce website, they could have had the realization around autoscaling and AWS much earlier in the game. They already had all the solutions but they simply did not ask us what the anticipated traffic we were going to have and what our roadmap for the next 2-3 years down the line was projected to be. It’s nothing to complain about though, as everything turned out fine.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My advice is to trust their fantastic backend team; they have extensive experience and can create masterful applications and databases. We look forward to leveraging their services for our mobile app at some point this year.

What challenge were you trying to address with Credencys Solutions Inc.?
We wanted to do small activities to demonstrate to the business world that we can bring value. We were planning a huge initiative with small pilots and one of our objectives was to show what we can do with AR. We also had to identify the smaller use case for the special equipment operators.

What was the scope of their involvement?
They did all of our AR development. We have equipment that’s very difficult to understand for software operators because they can’t see inside of it. We tasked Credencys Solutions Inc. with creating a training model of that equipment that shows how the processes run inside. We needed design thinking and the ability to see a prototype as changes were made to the pilot with AR. Credencys Soltuions Inc. was involved starting from the basics all the way to the final product.

We were in contact with three people and there were also one or two developers working behind the scenes.

We had a small pilot to do and a low budget because we were financing all of it. We did a Google search and found Credencys Solutions Inc. They were able to scope out what we wanted at a much cheaper price than anyone we could find locally. They were also quite responsive, quick to send a quote, and basically had all the right knowledge to do our project.

We started working together in November 2018 until May 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The product is robust, enabling trainees to learn how to use the equipment by seeing it from the inside. The AR part is great. What was very difficult for us to do before is no longer an issue.
Credencys Solutions Inc. not only has the technical skill to model AR but they bring a good understanding of the process to the projects they take on. It was really important for us that the person who developed the animation comprehended the processes in the equipment, and they worked quickly to understand the whole pharmaceutical procedure.

They tracked every minute of their work and showed us all the documents. The platform Credencys Solutions Inc. used was convenient and their project manager was great at his job.

We contracted with them for GUI and web-based platform development. They started by coming in for a quick session on their own nickel, just to map out what our thoughts were. They showed us the sorts of products they could provide.

We worked with about seven people in total. We had their senior managers involved as well.

They reached out to us with a cold-lead email and we were looking for exactly what they had put in the email. They let us know what they could do, we both followed up, and our engagement went from there.

We’ve spent between $150,000–$200,000 in total.

We signed a contract in August 2016 and the engagement concluded in 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We were very happy with the product they developed and the value they provided. They came in with some good folks who were able to see the vision of what we wanted to develop and were able to implement that vision.
How did Credencys Solutions Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?
They used scrum methodology to map things out. We started developing user stories or functional requirements for what we were trying to develop, and then they put those into weekly deliverables and were able to meet those deliverables. During the testing phase, we may have slipped a little bit, but most from the most part those deliverables were met.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their biggest strength was their communication. Their CTO and CEO were available to talk and would call to just check in on how the project was going. They also had they had representatives locally here that would check in regularly.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They had a little bit of turnover in some of the folks that they had working on the project, but I'm not sure that was so much of a negative.
