An audit that shows what needs to be improved, including benchmarking
Wireframe design for better navigation
Wireframe design for a homepage
Wireframe design for a better solutions page
Wireframe design for a better software page

Repeat audit after implementation.
As part of the audit, several documents were created to take stock of the existing website in terms of its structure (navigation, subpages, etc.) and a discussion on the layout of the site and its visual design. This was supplemented by an analysis of good websites in our competitive environment as well as other websites offering software services.
The wireframes were created using Figma in a collaborative mode and then discussed in biweekly meetings, adjusted if necessary, and then finalized. This included individual page types as well as navigation.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
There was a project plan led by Creative Navy. Based on this, we distributed the daily tasks among our team and Creative Navy. Two to three days before the next regular meeting, the results were shared via email, Figma, or Miro so that they could be discussed and voted on in the team meeting.
This ensured that there was always an excellent level of knowledge about the current and upcoming tasks and their results.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Creative Navy responded promptly at all times and addressed all our questions and concerns in a timely manner. Communication took place primarily via email and in meetings via Teams. The project plan was defined, adapted, and communicated repeatedly by Creative Navy. If there were any deviations on our part, the plan was adjusted immediately.
All work results were completed within the defined time frame, so that there were never any delays on the part of Creative Navy.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their approach!
Right from the introductory round, Creative Navy impressed us with their analytical and process-oriented approach. It was clear to us that we had found a partner on equal footing. One who would support and advise us, but also challenge and question us. This approach accompanied the entire project: every idea, every concept, every design. Everything was repeatedly questioned and put into context in order to achieve the best result. This mindset was just as evident in the first presentation as it was in the final feedback round.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Creative Navy could have done differently?
If anything, then hold us more accountable. That means demanding more strict deadlines, demanding results on our side, or pointing out consequences. We had a very good, productive start, but then fell behind schedule time and again due to internal projects and unfortunately did not complete the project within the scheduled three months. That was our fault, but we are happy to be pushed harder.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm a founding product engineer at an AI company.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Creative Navy?
We needed support with UX/UI design.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Creative Navy provided UX/UI design services. We initially gave them an overview of what we wanted to accomplish and shared some documentation. They pitched us an initial brief on how to move forward.
Once we officially signed, we had a 4–5-week discovery phase. They interviewed and met with some of our internal users of the original platform that we wanted to redesign. For the entirety of the project, we had biweekly meetings with their designers and product managers, where we spent time ideating on the UX. We wrapped up with 2–3 weeks of UI design, implementation, and delivery.
They helped us define some user personas. The key technology they used was Figma.
What is the team composition?
We worked with 3–4 people from their team. We interacted daily with the product manager and with the lead product manager once or twice a week to track the integrity of the project. Our account manager followed us throughout the project, from the beginning of the pre-sales phase to the end of delivery, and there was an additional designer as well, but I never met them.
How did you come to work with Creative Navy?
We found them through a Google search. They had worked on a few projects that seemed related to the work we wanted to do. We liked that they were a smaller agency and felt they would have a more personalized approach and support us more closely.
We had a few calls with their account managers and lead product managers. We felt they understood our vision well and were excited and passionate about the work we were doing. We felt a strong personal connection on that front.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent €40,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from April–June 2025.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They helped us save time and money. Their rates were quite competitive compared to other agencies. Since we had very limited expertise in design, it was essential for us to have their support.
We haven’t had the chance to quantify the success, but the project was well delivered and executed. We were very satisfied with the final results. The team was quite responsive to changes and adjustments to unexpected situations, so the results were positive.
How did Creative Navy perform from a project management standpoint?
We had biweekly meetings with their designers and product managers. We used regular video calls via Zoho and interacted on Slack quite a bit. The team was very responsive and accommodating.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their biggest strength was their proactive communication. They were exceptional in letting us know if there were delays or issues along the way and guiding us through figuring out if we could spend more time or investment on particular aspects of the project. The team was highly responsive when we had to change the schedule. They were very flexible, and we appreciated that a lot.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There were certain situations where delivery was delayed. In our particular context, the timing was very critical. That being said, we understood that delays happened, and they were very accommodating in giving us some extra time to compensate for them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Have open and proactive communication with them. We were responsive and eager, and whenever they needed something from our end, we made sure to provide it so that there were no blockers and a quick feedback loop. I wouldn't hesitate to return the favor on that front and be very open and upfront.

Honestly, I'm looking forward to our next project with them. They are craftsmen, and it is a pleasure to work with them. Negotiating the design elements is usually an educational process as well as a design process, which could sometimes generate lower productivity. However, it is much needed to understand what you are building and how the user experiences your product and business.

The project encompassed a comprehensive redesign of our user interface, driven by the integration of additional products under a unified brand identity and the expansion of our feature set. Furthermore, we are extending our offerings to include a variety of new boat types.
Consequently, the project's scope was twofold: it aimed to address a wide range of scenarios by delivering a complete end-to-end solution, from understanding and formalizing user needs to developing the final UI with our internal team. Concurrently, the scope was intentionally flexible, allowing us to explore innovative solutions and ultimately create the most effective user interface in our industry.

Furthermore, the efficiency of our internal development processes saw a boost, with a 20% (approx) reduction in the time required to implement new features, thanks to the better UI design. The integration of new boat types into our product lineup was accomplished without any major disruptions.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
We received a project plan from them, and it was followed well. It was also made more detailed in chunks of about one month. So there was a general plan and a good implementation on a day to day basis. The project was delivered on time. Our needs were one of the main drivers in how they adapted in the project and we got good support for that. All the departments were happy with how they were integrated into the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
felt I was working with smart, caring people, not a selfish company.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Creative Navy could have done differently?
While the project was largely successful, there is one aspect that could benefit from enhancement it's the initial phase of user research. Although the insights gathered were valuable, allocating more time and resources to this stage could have provided even deeper understanding of user needs and pain points.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
We've moved away from our HMI components and integrated better technology so this was an opportunity to change the user interface and bring it up to date. The scope was a complete redesign of the workflows for users, with all the screens and interactions that make up the user interface to control the different models we carry. Deliverables were the designs for all the screens with the documentation for the technical implementation by developers. And the entire UI library, icons and so on.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
For the main actions user need about half the amount of clickswe had previously. But overall the system is easier to understand because it is more straightforward, so users have to rely less on manuals and trainings.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
We had a project manager who gave the steer and an environment for the designs where they were available and organised and finally a space for documentation and all of the documents in Notion. This was the infrastructure and then the PM gave the tone about what would happen when, what they need, all of that. They were responsive to our needs, that the reason why we picked them because they were responsive before we started the work. We had two session of feedback per week and then they organised the input, thought about it and came back with design changes to a conversation about options and implications for going for option A or B.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their ability to bring together the technical and the human was excellent. Our machines are powerful, but delicate and we need users to do things in a certain way, but at the same time we pride ourselves in offering easy to use machine, so we have to be responsive to the needs of users. Creative Navy were great at finding the balance between the technical and the human.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Creative Navy could have done differently?
I am happy and have nothing to nag about. Of course I would have loved a shorter process, but I don't think we could have done it faster without losing out on the nuance that made it into the final product.
