I lead the Global Talent team for a big data, software company based in Irvine, CA. We have 5500 employees worldwide.

Our organization had previously used and recommended the team and the price point aligned with our budget.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

Guy was extremely easy to work with, providing all instructions and guidance in how to plan, prepare and manage the day-of filming. We spend time up front storyboarding the vision for the video and he and his team helped to loosely script the messaging. We then built out a film day agenda and slotted in the talent. He scoped the facility in advance and was completely nimble day of in moving around and coming up with new ideas on the spot. He also was fabulous in working with our talent.

We worked closely together.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are still using the videos today after almost 2 years and they have really held up! The energy is great and they definitely tell our story. Guy even won an award for the videos!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Our communication has always been seamless. Guy is 100% responsive and has gone above and beyond in creating edits over the last 2 years as needed for COVID, etc.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

This team is so professional, creative and easy to work with. Our project was not that exciting (corporate office video) and they managed to make super high energy, exciting videos - miracle workers, really!

I am the director of digital marketing at Keck Medicine of USC. I manage all of our web, social, email, and search marketing.

What challenge were you trying to address with The Corporate Film Guys?

We had a huge influx of need for video content.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The Corporate Film Guys provides video production services for us. They are responsible for everything from quick edits to teleprompters to sound editing to full video production. They produce videos in both Korean and English for us.

One of our main projects was an informative video centered around the offerings at our clinic location. Their team also created edits of Zoom press conferences we held. We then posted these on social media to reach our target audience of our patients and community members.

Our team posts the content they make to our website or social media and promote them via email. As opportunities arise, we tap them for projects, even if it’s a simple editing request.

What is the team composition?

My main point of contact is Guy (Executive Producer). We worked with one person on the production of the clinic video, three lighting people, and one cameraman.

How did you come to work with The Corporate Film Guys?

I have worked with Guy in past positions. They’ve always been reliable and have delivered in a pinch. I’ve worked on a wide variety of video content with him, so I knew he’d be able to handle this project.

How much have you invested with them?

We have invested about $30,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement began in October 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We just finished some of the videos they recently produced, so I don’t have hard data. The videos have been well received internally and all of our internal stakeholders are pleased with the quality of the videos. 

The Corporate Film Guys are always able to deliver within a realistic budget. The videos will be launched as part of a campaign to drive patients to our new clinic location. Hopefully, we will begin to see the results in the next few weeks. 

How did The Corporate Film Guys perform from a project management standpoint?

We brief them on our requests and provide them information about the creative inputs. Our teams communicate via email. They’re really good about setting timelines and letting us know their needs. They usually deliver results ahead of time.

The Corporate Film Guys provide hour-by-hour breakdowns of timing on the day of production and when editing. They allow us to access cuts of the videos so we can add comments and revisions. Their team is well-managed and coordinated. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

One of the benefits of working with a smaller organization. You get to work with the whole video team. Everyone was very professional. They ask the right questions and are very interested in the strategic content of the production. The Corporate Film Guys invests in the success of your project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t have any critiques of them. They’ve been very adaptable.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They are a true partner, operating as an extension of our team. As long as you’re upfront and honest, they’ll deliver on what you’re looking for.

I’m the manager of corporate communications at an in-flight entertainment and communications provider for commercial aviation. We have over 300 airline customers worldwide. We provide in-flight entertainment, internet connectivity services, and product maintenance. We’ve been in business for 40 years.

They’re one of our go-to vendors to support video production.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve used them to help execute our global all-hands sessions. They create short informative videos to support our internal and external customer-facing initiatives. We use them for internal purposes only. The films educate our global employees about what we’re doing from a corporate perspective. We do 1–2 videos per year.

What is the team composition?

We work with 2–5 people from their team. Guy (Executive Producer) is our main point of contact.

How did you come to work with The Corporate Film Guys?

I worked with Guy at a previous company where he led the video production team. I knew of his expertise and wanted to work with him on our internal video projects.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent approximately $8,000 per video.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working on 1–2 videos per year since April 2010. We don’t do a video every year. Our work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We like working with them. They’re very turnkey. The team helps us assess exactly what we need. Then, they work with us to execute. They make the whole process very easy. A huge benefit to working with them is that they’re able to source exactly what we need. We rely on Guy and his team to make the videos as engaging as possible. They help us achieve our goals consistently.

How did The Corporate Film Guys perform from a project management standpoint?

The team does really well with project management. We communicate via email, text, and phone. They’re super responsive, flexible, professional, and easy to work with. We have regular meetings and they always accommodate us.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re really easy to work with. Their agility and flexibility set them apart.

No, nothing comes to mind.

My advice is to be thorough with your request. Give them the flexibility to analyze your situation and give a recommendation.
