• End-to-end miration of 5 websites, including configuration, optimization, and implementation of best practices and security measures and performance enhancements. Inclusive of QA, sandbox migration testing, DNS setup, security configurations, etc. 
  • Initial website audit & backend review of previous hosting partner's work.
  • Was able to pull and migrate website files without needing to involve previous website hosting partners.
  • Included setup for GoDaddy, working with IT teams for security and website hosting, and additional conversations around needs due to size of our website & business needs.
  • Did multiple rounds of QA with my team to ensure everything looked good before migration.
  • Set up additional security measures, including reaching out to a plugin development team due to plug in not being updated, successfully had them implement a new patch to mitigate security risks.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Website hosting was able to be completed without needing too much additional help from previous web hosting/support partners, and done quickly within 2 months of starting the project.

No business disruptions during website hosting migration, teams were incredibly responsive to all concerns and migrated during an off time-period so down time was not noticeable.

Security concerns about website backend and ongoing real-time monitoring has been also addressed during this time.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

The C42 team was incredibly responsive to all the concerns we had, any issues, and were proactive to ensure that everything was done on time. They used video calls, emails, and basecamp to make sure that we had visibility into the work they were doing and gave constant progress updates as well to make sure we knew what they were doing. The websites were migrated sooner than we expected and done without any issues. Additional concerns around the project that were brought up were quickly addressed and added to their queue, and their team members would respond to the issues within the next day, if not the same day. Ricardo and Amrendra have been great to work with and have gone out of their way to even reach out to a Plugin developer on a plugin that was vital to our business that had not been updated, and were able to get them to create a plugin patch in order to address security concerns they had.

Collective42 has helped us redo our entire website. The team designs all of our email and social media using Figma. We hand off the copy, assets, and general ideas, and Collective42 does the layouts and designs. They're responsible for the creative process. We're currently working on redoing the entire copy on our website. The team is working on putting that all on a development site so we can review everything and approve it from there.

Collective42 also provides us with email marketing and social media marketing services. The team manages our ads on Meta and Google. We're working on rolling out X. They've also helped us set up Shop Pay and get on Meta.

We work directly with Collective42's co-founders, Steven and Ricardo, and three more teammates. We maintain contact with them, although Collective42 has more internal staff on our account.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our ROAS has gone up. Collective42 has done a great job of tracking our performance. The team has given great advice on increasing our Google and Meta ads budget. We're up about 20% to 30% year-over-year in revenue, site traffic, and conversion. Collective42 has helped us manage our budget efficiently and in a controlled manner, which has been beneficial.

We've been in a good rhythm with them. We're handing stuff off, and it's coming back pretty much exactly how we expected it to come back. Collective42 has done an outstanding job with that, especially in the email ads. We've seen a tremendous increase in response.

During our first year, we did a lot of cleanup work, and Collective42 has redone our site. This second year, we've been able to focus on ad spend, website traffic, revenue, and more conversions via different platforms.

Having Collective42 do this work for us. We get together as a brand, share ideas and inspiration, and write them down. However, we need someone to carry out those ideas and inspiration: that's what Collective42 is doing for us. The team has a great attitude; whatever we're trying to portray, they'll write for us.

We're always bouncing ideas off of them as well. Collective42 is open about it, which is excellent, and our partnership isn't finite. We respect them and what they bring to the table. Collective42 has been patient and has gone through a learning process with us to understand our industry and clientele.

How did Collective42 perform from a project management standpoint?

Collective42 meets deadlines and stays on budget. They work with us and are very open about the budget. The team has accommodated us when we've gone a little outside the scope of work.

We use Figma for reviews and approvals of the email designs and Basecamp for communication. We have a Google Meet every Thursday. They're great about it if we ever feel like we need to hop on a call. We also text them all the time, and the team is open about this approach to communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Collective42 has been super patient and understanding. They're open to ideas. Collective42 is outstanding at bouncing ideas off of to see if they align with the industry. Ricardo and other teammates have excelled in addressing some communication issues we've experienced.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We had some growing pains in the beginning. We were trying to relay a message, and what we were getting back wasn't exactly what we wanted. That wasn't all on them. We had a consultant who was relaying the information. Things got lost in communication, and things had changed by the time it got back to us.

We've since taken over and are the point of contact. Collective42 has put a teammate in a lead role for our creative processes. We've had a couple of calls with him and told him the look and feel we were going for. We've grown from that.

Communicate with Collective42. Be open and honest. The team has a great outlook and perspective on things. They're super accommodating. If you're not getting what you want, express it. Sometimes Collective42 misunderstands you and what you want. Have a strong point of contact with Collective42. Honest and open communication always goes a long way.

Collective42 provided us with website design and development services. The team helped us increase our online presence. They built a platform aggregating material for caregivers of autistic individuals, from children to adults. The team also helped us with our readiness test, which is a test that individuals take to get a report back that helps them get into more detail. They also built our LMS system.

The team used Figma, WordPress, Airtable, SurveySparrow, and Zapier. They also tapped into all the major health insurance carriers’ databases because we have a portal within our site that has a provider search.

How did you come to work with Collective42?

Our founder knew Collective42's CEO, Ricardo, for a few years. They met at a networking event a long time ago. Our founder was originally with another company and had some websites done by Collective42. Then, she was with another engineering firm to build out the website, and they were terrible.

By chance, we went back and asked Collective42 if they had further engineering capabilities, and they did. When she originally met Ricardo years ago and had a website done, she didn't realize that he had grown his practice so big.

We just launched the website on February 5, 2025, so we don’t have any analytics. Their work exceeded our expectations. I've worked in software development for a long time, and their attention to detail was phenomenal. The team critically thought through other problems before they arose, and their problem-solving skills were on point. 

How did Collective42 perform from a project management standpoint?

They delivered the work before the deadline and came in well within the budget. Their pricing was amazing. The team worked with us to complete the project, and the timeline brilliantly exceeded our expectations without increasing cost. They found ways to make it happen. We communicated using Slack, and they provided incredibly detailed documentation. 

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

I want to give a shout-out to Ricardo; he was phenomenal. He oversaw everything that was going on, was on top of any detailed questions we had or anything we needed, and literally made the impossible happen in an impossible timeline. He saved us for a launch that we had to do.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Collective42 took the time to find the right teammates and capabilities at the right time. Their team was great, and they grew so much. They were phenomenal in getting this proof of concept buttoned up, and some excellent engineers were working behind the scenes.

The Collective 42 team & I were scoped to help grow a new women's DTC premium jewelry brand's e-commerce business through through a multi-pronged approach of email, paid search & SEO services. We were hired on a trial basis in April of '24 and after our first 3 months of performance were asked to stay on for an indefinite period of time, picking up an incremental paid social channel (Meta) as part of our incremental, on-going scope. The client was very pleased with our performance, contribution to growth & new customer acquisition as well as our overall process for working hand-in-hand with the client in their internal teams.

C42 team was very interactive from the very first introductory call. Thier use of Basecamp as a communicaton tool took a moment to get use to but worked very well. They were equaly reponsive in other communication tools such as email and phone calls, but clearly prefer Basecamp for record keeping and thier internal commmunication with team members. 

C42 seems committed to making sure thier service and deliverables are prompt and on time. Any delays were customer related. C42 was very understanding when it came to our internal content review and the delays that it caused while gaining team member concensus.
