We hired a lead QA engineer to manage our QA team and lead the quality and test efforts for the entire company.

What were your goals for this project?

We looked for person with a combination of great hands-on skills and leadership capabilities, seeing a broad picture of all requirements and flows.

How did you select Adraba?

We were introduced by a mutual friend. We had a series of discussions about the hiring flow, job requirements and legal engagement. We decided to proceed once we understood that Adraba may deliver to our requirements.

Describe the project in detail.

We had a series of discussions with Adrabas's HR team. Then we started receiving CVs to evaluate. We declined a few and proceeded with others. We gave a task for all candidates to fill, and those who passed with the tasks proceeded to a series of interviews with a few senior team members. Once we decided on the most relevant candidate and agreed on costs, Adraba placed an offer for the candidate to approve.

What was the team composition?

We currently have one team member hired through Adraba and we are in the process of hiring more team members.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Within one month after hiring, the hired team member has reached the onboarding and probation goals of handling QA tasks, integrating with the team, opening tickets and handling the flow.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Since we are team-extension based, each team member is a first-class citizen in our team, so there is no "us" and "them". The workflow is as smooth as employing in our own premise.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The HR process is great. Adraba's HR team accompanied the process diligently, asking any possible question to get the right persons into the funnel and eliminating less relevant ones. They ask relevant questions throughout the process so they can come up with better and more relevant candidates.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The legal negotiation was somehow slow compared to other vendors in the market, but once we overcame that, everything else went smoothly.

I’m a business development specialist at an anonymous job searching platform for IT specialists. 

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Adraba?

We wanted to implement a marketplace with matching capabilities to match IT candidates with vacancies and vise-versa (very similar to Tinder model). Additionally, we wanted the product to be differentiated so my team had innovative UI ideas and needed Adraba to implement them in a short period of time.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Adraba developed our website - the marketplace - and helped come up with creative designs for UI/UX by pulling in their product designers. After we finished the project, Adraba introduced us to their SEO specialists, and as an added bonus, helped make on-site SEO optimization at no pay for our side, which was a  great addition to their great development work.

What is the team composition?

We worked with about 10 people, including a designer and frontend developers, that were involved at different stages but we worked with more during the QA stage. They had a junior project manager that was a more cost-effective solution for us since our founder was also the project manager.

How did you come to work with Adraba?

One of my friends referred them to me. We sent our idea to two companies and made a decision based on how fast they responded, who was involved in the project, and the price. Adraba had a very clear structure of all the stages, how it would work, and how long it would take. It was near perfect timing and they gave us a very clear picture. 

A lot of companies keep it blurry and give us a lot of abstract information. This wasn’t the first project I was involved in, and I knew that the more concrete information we have in the arrangement, the better. I’ve had problems with previous companies I worked with. There wasn’t enough clarity, and a lot of things popped up during the project.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $100,000–$250,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from May–November 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The design they implemented is very user-friendly and the site works really fast. It’s a matching platform, so it has a lot of different algorithms. It took a while for the frontend developers to create it, but they eventually delivered it with very little delay. We were extremely happy. The AI feature has found matches between recruiters and developers.

How did Adraba perform from a project management standpoint?

Adraba was extremely collaborative and attentive to our needs and wants. We wanted to launch the marketplace in September or October at the peak of the job market, so the Adraba team worked extra hours during weekends to meet our strict deadlines. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The most impressive thing about them was the clarity of communications and commitment to the pre-agreed deadlines. The people we worked with were really transparent and open when it came to setting our expectations and navigating my team through the development process; they didn’t hide any technical debts or other issues that could lead to further "surprise". If there was a problem, they helped us pick the most optimal solution by laying down all the options in front of us. . We didn’t just talk to their salespeople, as you typically do with other service providers,  we had direct communication with the project manager and, if needed, also with developers. They proved themselves as true professionals.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We always want the work to be faster and cheaper.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Ask for maximum details. That was critical for us, and other companies couldn’t provide us details on how exactly the interactions would be, and how long it would be. Clients who want to work with Adraba need to come up with a clear picture of what they want and ask them to split the project into small milestones, so there will be maximum clarity.

I’m the chief product and technology officer of a company that does online distributions for hotel reservations.

What challenge were you trying to address with Adraba?

We finished building our core service, but needed a knowledgeable vendor to develop the solution for iOS and Android. We didn’t have the necessary in-house expertise and needed to complete the project in a short timeframe.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had the server side API in place before the project started. We also had a third party design the UI/UX. Adraba developed the mobile apps based on the design and requirements we provided.

What is the team composition?

Joseph (CEO, Adraba) was our primary contact. We worked with three developers, one tester, and one project manager. During the later stages, Adraba reduced the team to one developer and one tester.

How did you come to work with Adraba?

We received a referral from a mutual client. Our team then vetted Adraba in a formal hiring process; multiple agencies bid on the project. We chose Adraba because they had the most comprehensive proposal.

How much have you invested with them?

The final amount is confidential. Adraba modified the fixed fee to reflect all of our scope changes with mutual consent.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with Adraba between September 2018–February 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They completed the solution to our satisfaction; its launch was business-critical and Adraba ensured a timely release. The team was transparent with us when we changed the scope, which created some delays. They asked for clarifications when needed and told us when our changes were not sustainable. The open dialogue led to an amicable resolution between both parties. To Adraba’s credit, they never scaled back on their commitment or ability to deliver. Overall, they distinguished themselves from other app development partners.

How did Adraba perform from a project management standpoint?

We worked with the development and project management teams more than the QA specialist. Their interactions were always professional and timely. The team was detailed-oriented and gave us all the information we needed for a successful project. Overall, the experience met our expectations for comparable engagements.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team approached the changes with flexibility. They were responsive and completely committed to achieving our goals. Adraba’s dedication never wavered; they scaled resources as needed.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Some of their developers were not as well-versed with the tech stack as we originally expected. As a result, some deliveries took a little longer, or not at our standard for an enterprise app. This is not to say the work was done poorly, though.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Any client would be well-served by a partnership with Adraba because the team delivers on their promises. Surprisingly, they honored their commitment to not requesting an upfront deposit. The team is economical, professional, and rational. They are the perfect partner to supplement resources in a professional manner on short notice.

I’m the COO at Leverate, a development company that makes apps and platforms for the foreign exchange market.

We wanted to develop a CRM and looked at offshore teams because they’re less expensive.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The CRM isn’t internal; it’s geared toward our clients. It outlines how to run a business and connects to our trading platform. Adraba used .NET and Microsoft Dynamics to build the system, designing it to handle our large userbase. It’s a complex product that is able to withstand a great load. People can access the CRM to reach out to and better manage their own clients.

What is the team composition?

We worked with a tech manager, dev team leader, three QA members, and two integration specialists who onboarded new clients.

How did you come to work with Adraba?

We knew the tech manager. We’d originally started with a different company, but Adraba had better prices and people, so we switched them.

We spent around $1 million.

We worked together from 2015-2018.

I’m the owner of JetSurf. We create and sell motorized surfboards for watersports enthusiasts.

We needed an external development firm to build our website quickly and efficiently.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our internal team came up with website’s design before reaching out to a third-party resource. Therefore, Adraba was responsible for developing the backend infrastructure in accordance with the wireframes we provided. They used a .NET platform to build out the site’s e-commerce functionalities and deliver a finished product.

What is the team composition?

I mostly interacted with an assigned project manager and a lead developer. Their owner also helped iterate solutions whenever possible.

How did you come to work with Adraba?

They were recommended to us through a mutual friend that had been happy with their work. I then met with their owner, and he quickly understood the project specifications. The initial correspondence between our teams went smoothly, so I decided to hire them.

Our involvement with Adraba took place from October 2016–January 2017.

They took our vision for the website and made it a reality. User feedback indicates that people are impressed with the website’s professional interface and e-commerce capabilities.

How did Adraba perform from a project management standpoint?

They kept the project organized and performed at a high level. I usually schedule things through excel, so they accommodated me by adopting that practice. However, they have multiple project management tools at their disposal. Their team met each deadline and communicated effectively.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We appreciate their communication and problem-solving abilities. The Adraba team aren’t afraid to take on complex projects and overcome new challenges. They worked through technological restrictions to deliver the platform as promised.

Every firm can stand to develop strengths further and build upon weaknesses. Overall, working with Adraba has been a positive experience.

I’m the owner of a law firm and have over 10 years of legal experience.

As a small business with no online presence, I had a hard time attracting clients, so I reached out to Adraba set up my site.

What were your goals for this project?

I wanted to create an online presence for my law firm with a website. The site needed to be SEO-compatible, displaying my content as I uploaded materials.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I was looking for a vendor that I could trust. My friend had a pleasant experience with Adraba and referred me to them.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

Adraba provided a full web solution, handling the design, site logic, hosting. They then set up a Google Ads campaign to boost visibility. This minimized my involvement, which allowed me to dedicate my time to my business.

They assigned a project manager who answered all of my questions. Communicating with him was easy.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

With our newfound online presence, we’ve continued to receive organic traffic to date. Nowadays, we still get a few clients every month from our site.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The project manager was always in touch. He spoke fluently, answered all of my questions, and gave timely reports. We communicated via Skype and emails, and I used Jira to track their progress.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They were very friendly and easy to communicate with. Since I didn’t have much of a technical background, I appreciated that they explained the complex parts of the process in a way that I could understand. Not to mention, they launched the site before the given timeline.

Are there any areas where they can improve?

No, there was nothing that I didn’t like or wanted to change.

I’m the CEO and co-founder of a FinTech company is in the payments space. We focus primarily on curing the world of real estate investment sponsors by offering a complete solution to manage investments and profiles.

We had to scale our R&D team. We’re based in Tel Aviv, where it’s often time-consuming to hire new programmers. Adraba was there to provide the quick solution we needed.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Adraba provided a full-stack programmer to work as part of our small in-house team. We took part in the interview process for this developer. Although he usually worked remotely from their office in Kiev, we also invited him to our office a few times to train with our engineers. 

Adraba’s resource took ownership of certain parts of our platform. He selected tasks from the daily board similarly to any of our internal resources. His main areas of expertise were UX and back-office items. Throughout the project, he provided frontend and backend development.

I’ve known Joseph (CEO and Founder, Adraba) for a long time, so Adraba was the obvious choice. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together for roughly a year until a few months ago. At that point, we had finally hired enough local personnel. If we hadn’t found enough resources in our area, we would still be employing the same programmer though Adraba.

When hiring an offshore developer, it’s important to make them feel like a part of your team. Include them in everything from company update conferences to onsite training from time to time.

I’m the former co-founder and COO of a natural language processing program that interacted with Salesforce and other CRMs.

What challenge were you trying to address with Adraba?

We needed additional resources to work on our product.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The conversational engine was meant to allow users to speak, and it would automatically fill out all the fields in Salesforce, such as name, city, address, etc. Adraba augmented our team, even creating a small space inside their office specifically for the resources dedicated to our project. They worked on our frontend, utilizing our custom SML-based language and writing in Clojure.

We’d already built the tool, but Adraba deployed customer solutions and ran tests.

They provided two programmers and one tester.

One of our investors recommended them. We looked at a few other companies, but we were impressed with the expertise of Adraba’s principals and their ability to create a “remote office” for us.

How did Adraba perform from a project management standpoint?

They acted as members of our team, not outsourced, separate resources. We held weekly conferences and had daily scrum meetings, our Adraba team members attended all of these meetings. We used JIRA, Slack, Skype, Zoom, and text to communicate. They were responsive and always available, turning our ideas into actual deliverables and results.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Adraba worked hard to find the best resources for our project.  Because of this, they were the best outsourced resources I have ever used. I’d definitely hire them again. Even though our Adraba team members were off-shore, they seamlessly integrated with our team, making it effortless to onboard them. We didn’t have any cultural or language issues, and they consistently provided excellent service.

No. They really delivered as promised.

Understand they are priced appropriately for the level of experience and results they deliver, so they are not the cheapest option - but they are the most cost-effective option.

One of our biggest backers, an insurance company, was interested in an app with our services. We decided that we’d develop an app and sell it to them, and we contracted Adraba for that development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Adraba designed and developed an app for Android and iOS that can help diagnose simple problems before users go to a doctor.

What is the team composition?

We worked with a project manager and a team of developers.

How did you come to work with Adraba?

I met the founder at a conference, and we discussed his development studio and the needs for my project. I contacted three or four other firms, but Adraba provided the best quote.

What is the status of this engagement?

The development and testing of our app spanned November 2017–February 2018, but Adraba remains accessible if there are any bugs. My company is currently working on a second version of the application, and we are in the process of securing price quotes from Adraba and two other studios.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They delivered the product we needed on time. Adraba has an appealing quality-cost balance. They offered a reasonable price, and the quality of their work was very high.

How did Adraba perform from a project management standpoint?

We navigated some early communication issues by writing emails with a little more clarity and detail than we were originally. Overall, the project management was strong. Our project manager was prompt and accessible. Adraba sought to deliver the product according to our schedule, and they worked weekends or late hours to achieve that.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their responsiveness to technical issues is admirable. At one point, there was a change in the latest iOS version, and it altered the way certain elements behaved, so they needed to rebuilt. Adraba quickly identified the problem, we brainstormed together, they proposed some new solutions and ultimately found one that worked.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Tracking the project’s progress was a bit haphazard at times. That’s something that could have been mitigated with a shared project management tool.

Any advice for potential customers?

We learned early on that we needed to write slightly differently in order to communicate effectively. I’d recommend putting extra care into all written materials.

I am the CMO of a tech marketing firm that also hosts events. Over the seven years we’ve been in business, we’ve supported clients with marketing, technology, and large expos within the retail, finance, and B2B fintech space.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Adraba?

We wanted to create an API affiliate transactions tracking solution for blockchain and cryptocurrency payment. Typically, an affiliate sends over a user who enters their name, number, and email, and Ethereum wallet. We needed to track these users to see how much comes back on the public ledger.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

We worked with Adraba on multiple engagements. They’re our outsourcing partner for everything from APIs to plugins and websites. They’ve provided frontend development for initial coin offerings and blockchain projects. 

For the affiliate tracking solution, they built a system that collects information like their wallet ID from user traffic that’s sent through. We’ve also had them design and implement development projects. 

What is the team composition?

We have worked with a few different people within their team. We usually have a project manager who deals with all the relevant parties. The project manager is our main point of contact who we go through, and they will then pull in different people into the conversation.

How did you come to work with Adraba?

We had a pretty close relationship with the CEO before he started Adraba and reached out when he started the company. Based on his work for our previous projects, we knew he had the right skill set and expertise.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Adraba in 2017 and have an ongoing relationship.

The API is currently functioning, and everything is working properly. The projects we worked on with Adraba ended up becoming showcases. With their support, we've generated new business. The team’s contributions definitely helped to add value. 

How did Adraba perform from a project management standpoint?

Adraba has performed well and been responsive. They hit the deadlines and make sure to deliver high-quality results that satisfy us in a timely manner. We use Skype to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Adraba’s pricing and speed of delivery have impressed me the most. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Adding interactive tools beyond Skype, like Slack, would help the team manage projects better. We’ve never had any issues, but more technology would be useful for larger scale projects.

Have a clear brief and technical specifications of what you want them to implement. The clearer it is, the better results you will get when it comes to price, time, and delivery.
