What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?
I wanted to create an app that would help me become a master of the guitar. I always wanted to learn how to play the guitar but it was difficult for me to find the time and motivation to do it. I decided that I needed an Android mobile app that would remind me to do my guitar exercises every day. Since I do not have experience in software development and programming, I needed to find a good IT company that would turn my ideas into reality.

What was the scope of their involvement?
The vision of my future app seemed unusual to me, so I was a bit embarrassed and I didn’t know how to explain it to someone else. But, everything was perfect. To start, I had a Skype session with Cleveroad’s project manager and he said that my idea was really interesting and that I could end up popularizing this particular type of app.
As a result, we discussed project feasibility and the project manager wrote down everything with a promise to send me a more detailed plan after he spoke with his Android developers. After one day, he contacted me and showed me how the app could look and what design it could have. The designers made a trial design to show to me and after a detailed discussion, I approved the first development stage.

From the very beginning, I planned to create the app for my personal use, so I didn’t release it to the Google Play store. I haven’t become a famous guitarist yet, but I have started to make good progress. And even if I don’t want to play guitar today, the app reminds me that I should not ignore today’s lesson if I want to improve. So, the app motivates me to move forward and achieve success.

Cleveroad designed both of the apps because all we gave them to work with was a general idea. Both versions, iOS, and Android are almost complete. They’re currently in the testing stage, and we hope to launch soon.

I’m not sure how many people from Cleveroad were involved in the development, but I’ve collaborated with 3 people during the project. I communicate with their manager, their sales representative, and the CEO of the company. I had no contact with the developers.
How did you come to work with Cleveroad?
We searched for IT companies online and browsed companies via Clutch. We contacted a few, but we weren't satisfied with their prices. Cleveroad had the lowest price, so we decided to follow up with them. While there were slight differences in each company’s offers, price was a key factor in who we hired.

The apps didn’t have any critical defects or bugs. Everything has been quite stable, but we still need to implement a few things, such as clear detection and search results, and visual appearance. I’m quite satisfied with how things have gone so far.

I would rate it as a 4.5 out of 5. Cleveroad’s manager is quite responsible, so everything went OK.

Nothing specific comes to mind. In general, my experience has been good, and I’ve enjoyed the cooperation.

There were small differences between the end result and the original estimates they provided, but they weren’t critical. It’s still a work in progress, and I understand that not everything can go perfectly.

I would advise future customers to do their own research before starting a project. I did so and I'm satisfied with the results.

We are an agricultural company in Latvia, made up of more than 200 employees and established in 2007. We grow crops, but mostly rye. We sell our products in the domestic market and to Lithuania.

We have about 20 fields. They are scattered across the area, so we have to communicate with our employees somehow. It was difficult to find a platform that would satisfy all our criteria. We tried many chats, but they didn’t meet our demands. The worst part was that some areas have a very poor internet connection, so we also needed something that could work in an offline mode and then synchronize data after the connection was okay.
We are not the only company in this industry. The market is very competitive, which means security was also important. We decided to create our own secure and reliable messenger for our employees.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We needed a mobile application, solely for the Android platform, as we provide our staff with Android mobile devices.
They developed a chat with different levels of access. We also have lots of paperwork and it is not an option to send them by post or usual email. They created a system that scans, transfers, and stores these documents. If a person is sending a document to another person who doesn’t have good internet connection, then all the data needs to be synchronized after the connection is back. They made a solution for this as well. There also had to be a way for the data from our electronic forms to be stored in a cloud and give people access to it, according to their level of access.

We contacted a few companies in our country and abroad, and asked for the contact information of their past clients. We found a businessman who had a very similar project and Cleveroad created an app for him. He was absolutely happy with his product. This persuaded us to choose Cleveroad.

Our drivers are always away delivering different types of cargo around Austria. All our cars are equipped with GPS trackers, but those can only show where they are at the moment. It was difficult for me to track how many kilometers each driver drove in a day, so we decided to develop an app to track the information and have it sent to me in real time.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Cleveroad focused on mobile app development for Android; I already had my own database. My employees and I use the app. I also have friends in the same industry from other countries in Europe, so I’m hoping to spread the app to Germany and more.
I haven’t used Cleveroad for website development but I know they also provide those services. I might use them sometime when I need to make an upgrade or to connect the site to the mobile app.

The project was successful and Cleveroad’s service was great. I could test the beta version and let them know of any changes I wanted. There was a small bug that didn’t allow more than ten drivers to log into the app at the same time. Since all my drivers are young and use mobile devices, that wasn’t acceptable for me. I asked the project manager to have it fixed and it was done in a couple of days with no problems. The rest of the app is perfect. Now, I can see the distance traveled by my drivers.
We’ve been using the app for 4 or 5 months. I can see all the numbers in my app now, and it’s easier for me to see my drivers’ locations. It has made my life and job much easier. Also, the drivers are satisfied and are learning some of the extensions of the application so that we can communicate with customers.

The project manager was always on Skype with me and easy to reach. Everything was clear even though I’m not an IT person and they patiently explained things to me. They are a professional team and it was a pleasure to work with them.

They also communicated the timeline really well and spent around 7 weeks building the application. I don’t think I could find a better company.

There was one bug in the first version of the app, but they fixed it easily. Everything was fine but the price was a bit high. I was expecting to spend $6,500, but I would rather pay more money for the quality than for fixing things later.

BACKGROUND
Our company provides fundraising and marketing solutions. As the campaign coordinator, I'm in charge of the CrowdGiv project and responsible for platform development, delivery, and performance.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
Our company has over 30 years of experience in providing electronic payment-processing technologies globally. All this experience led us to the idea of creating a large-scale platform to allow non-profit organizations to present requests for support to potential donors.
SOLUTION
Our fundraising platform is supposed to be a website that automates the solicitation, collection, payment, and reporting of donations for NPOs. The platform needed to integrate with new or existing payment-processing technologies for companies who have or intend to develop a corporate giving program.
We used Clutch when finding a contracting development company. We filtered by the rate and made the decision to go with Cleveroad based on their customer feedback. I got in touch with their tech advisor through a chat box on their website, and we began our communication.
The project development took 7 months and cost between $30,000 and $50,000. In that time, they built a site with an integrated payment system, took care of security (the website was SSL certified, providing a secure connection with a server), and built an admin panel for the site.
The project started in September, and by April we were ready to publish the site. During these months, a large portion of time was devoted to fine-tuning the UX and advanced testing, which we also decided to pay for since we didn’t want to compromise our users’ security and convenience.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
We launched the site in late April, and it has a great look and feel. Our Cleveroad team also helped us prepare and schedule the website launch. It now works perfectly well, but we have no metrics to share yet.
Cleveroad has extensive experience in creating web services and acted professionally from our first interaction. They suggested various technologies we could implement and helped us choose the most suitable option for us. I was surprised that the designer assigned to our project suggested a few variants of the designs based on our preferences and corporate style. All in all, the entire development flow was smooth and clean. We had regular Skype meetings to discuss the timeline, budget, and scope of work for each sprint. Their work is very transparent and open, which I really appreciated.
Generally, we are satisfied with our cooperation with Cleveroad and the resulting product.

I have my own concert agency in the Czech Republic. I’m the CEO of my company, and I really love my job. I organize various events like concerts, festivals, parties, and so on.

What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?
My work allows me to meet some famous people and even communicate with them. But there was one disadvantage—the ad distribution via other websites was not so effective. I realized that I needed an app that will notify people in my city about upcoming events. Using this app, I can really draw much more people than I used to. So, I needed one mobile app for the Android operating system, which I was planning to distribute for free. It was much more important for me to draw in visitors. I am organizing events ranging from opera concerts to rock festivals, so the target audience could be rather large.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Since my app idea wasn’t difficult, Cleveroad told me that it won’t take much time to develop it. After just five days, they sent me prototypes of my future app. I approved it, and they continued working. The company made everything, starting from building wireframes to releasing the app to the Google Play Store.
How did you come to work with Cleveroad?
I have cooperated with web developers before when I ordered to build the website of my concert agency and tickets booking service. But when they created the website, I took some notes and asked the company to amend some features.
It was now my task to find a mobile app development company that can make an advertising app at an affordable price but with good quality. An idea occurred to me—why not find a company in neighboring countries? Having researched the market, I came across one experienced Ukrainian company named Cleveroad. It took four weeks to develop my app. When I started using the app for the first time, it was really amazing—it was exactly what I wanted! The app absolutely met my requirements. Now, I can notify more people about the events I organize in my city. The app has a nice-looking user interface and a helpful user experience. I know that my fellow citizens will always be aware of the entertaining life of my city. They can share all that info with their friends and make bookmarks. I will also be using this app for systematizing all of the events.

We’re a real estate company based in Varna, Bulgaria, with both long-term and seasonal clients. We target mainly young couples and tourists. I am a managing partner of the company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?
We were using Facebook for advertising the business, and communicated with clients using WhatsApp and Viber. We stored apartment pictures in Dropbox, and organized our work using Google services. We decided that these tools weren’t enough, so we looked at updating our processes, making them more modern. Expanding the business, hiring more staff and attracting users would have been impossible without a proper web presence, so we started looking for a company which could develop our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Cleveroad designed and developed our website, while also providing SEO services for it.
How did you come to work with Cleveroad?
I was looking for inexpensive solutions on Facebook, and found Cleveroad. I visited their website, and started a conversation with one of their sales managers through the built-in chat. I obtained some basic information about the company, and had a Skype call with a sales rep, in order to discuss my idea in more detail. I became sure that Cleveroad was a good company, and visited their office in Ukraine personally, in order to plan the next step.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Cleveroad in November 2016. The website was deployed to our local host by the middle of March 2017. We are planning to launch it soon. We have an ongoing collaboration with Cleveroad. They are helping with our launch and the SEO for the site.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
We took into account our budget and the scale of the project, and set out to finish the site before the high season. Cleveroad has done a great job of collaborating with us and applying their experience with similar projects.
The website is functional, and it matches my expectations. Currently, a business cannot run well without a website or web application. I’m sure that the site will be a great enhancement for our company.
The website hasn’t been launched yet, but it has been seen by our friends and colleagues. They’ve told me that the design is quite good. I like it myself, especially since I was consulted by Cleveroad on my preferences for colors and layouts. They prepared three examples, and I chose the best one for me. I am completely satisfied on this front.
How did Cleveroad perform from a project management standpoint?
We had a small delay in development, due to the holiday season in Ukraine. I was notified about this in advance, and it did not prevent us from finishing the project in time.
What did you find most impressive about Cleveroad?

Are there any areas Cleveroad could improve?
I’m not very knowledgeable in terms of development. I’m sure that there are better companies than Cleveroad, but they are very good at their work.
