What were your goals for this project?

Not having centralized control over what’s happening across different stages, as well as struggling to attain transparency, visibility, and organization in our business processes, made us decide to get external help, especially in terms of technology. The idea behind the app was to offer solid, stable, digital support for the business.

After talking with an executive about what I was looking for, I connected with the senior Microsoft expert and talked about the technical details of the project. CIS developed various modules to manage orders and inventory, track and trace production, handle shipping and delivery, and enable information and document exchange among stakeholders.

I first connected with a designated executive and their head Microsoft expert, but our project team was made of four junior developers, three senior developers, and a team leader.

We’ve been able to bring down our business costs and overhead, and the application is robust, scalable, and powerful enough to support our global operations.

We communicated with easy collaboration tools to sharpen our business and technical requirements, and we used an Agile methodology throughout development. They were all professionals, and experts in their respective technology fields, so we were able to create and maintain a healthy working dynamic with them.

We were so effective together that I’d be more than willing to work with them again. The team always stayed on top of our requirements, worked with efficiency to produce outstanding work, and were motivated to succeed throughout the project.

People at CIS are passionate and knowledgeable about their work. They take clients seriously and make genuine efforts to help them out. They provide dedicated assistance from the beginning to the end of the project, and you never feel like you’re lost; there’s no wondering where you’re headed. They lay out a project roadmap and do their best to stick to it.

I must point out that the CIS team’s response time is amazing. There was a time difference between our respective working locations, but we almost never realized it. All great projects end up being great because of the people involved, and working with CIS reinforced that idea.

That includes student attendance, teachers timesheets, fee payments, after school programs, substitute teachers management, notifications and announcements, and several other important school workflows.

We wanted high-quality yet affordable software development services, because we were planning to take almost our entire school administration online. The solution is actually a collection of several web applications designed for teachers, administrators, and even school cafeteria staff. The objective was to give all these groups an online system, with accurate and real-time visibility into the administration of different activities and workflows.

We had a team with two junior developers, four senior developers, and a team lead. We really enjoyed our collaboration with this wonderful team. They worked closely with us at every step, asking for our input and offering their own suggestions from time to time. The overall working dynamic was smooth and efficient.

Our school now runs a lot more effectively than it did a few years ago. Everybody is happy with the applications, from teachers to parents to administrative staff. The paperwork load, as well as the number of manual errors, has massively reduced.
It’s much easier to keep track of important school management aspects as we no longer have to manage multiple spreadsheets. Our time, energy, and money are now better spent on more important things.

The workflow structure was professional and organized. They started with a timetable that clearly outlined what development work needed to be done and on what timescale. Each day, they gave us detailed reporting on what work had been completed.

The final application is cloud-based and it’s capable of managing all employee processes, right from their onboarding and exit, to everything in between. Even now, when we want to add new features to the product, we can contact them to do the job.

Initial planning and concept collecting by CISIN took a lot of time. After that, they came up with a preliminary layout for our website and invited us to participate in the ideation stage. From the planning stage to the introduction of our new website and eventually to SEO once our website went live, everything was properly coordinated. When choosing the keywords we wanted to rank for on Google and other major search engines, they always kept us in the loop with design mockups and the keyword research procedure.

I am the Marketing Manager for The Macabi Skirt. I wanted to updating the website to a more modern and attractive look, I want to plan on adding additional products. Initially, I would like to add drop shipped products through Oberlo but I will probably eventually develop new products that I maintain myself also.

Another goal is to be able to add new products myself, update existing products, etc. Currently, if I add new colors or remove colors, I have to go through a developer to do this. I have to do this because of a large amount of custom code added to the website so that I can’t simply do it through the control panel. Another goal that I have is to have sales or closeouts on individual colors.

For example, if I want to have a special on Fair Green skirts, I would like to use the CPanel to create a sale JUST for Fair Green skirts.
