I’m the president of Wilson, Washburn and Forster Insurance, a retail insurance agency.

We hired The CIB Group to recruit producers and sale agents for our company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

To begin each process, we explain our needs, the company vision, and the open role to The CIB Group. Once they have an understanding of the position and our goal, they begin recruitment. Their team hosts ads and searches on websites, such as LinkedIn. Once they identify qualified individuals, they handle all the initial screening steps—including resumé reviews, phone interviews, testing, and training—before showing me the options. From there, I decide which candidates to interview.

The CIB Group reaches out to us annually to ensure the candidates have been a good fit and remained with us. Within their contract, they promise to replace any individuals who only last a short period of time, so their team remains available in case the need arises.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve had a high success rate with The CIB Group—almost 100% of the employees we’ve hired through service are still with our company. We’ve also saved a significant amount of time by using their team as our hiring resource because we don’t need to interview candidates who aren’t a match.

How did The CIB Group perform from a project management standpoint?

One of the main reasons I continue to work with The CIB Group is their ability to communicate effectively and clearly. We primarily speak through the phone and email, and I always hear back from their team with 24 hours.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have the ability to understand our needs and consistently locate strong candidates. Their team makes an effort to fulfill our vision and match our core values with the individuals they provide.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing they could be doing better for us.

What challenge were you trying to address with The CIB Group?

Finding the right talent was the biggest challenge we were facing. We needed an external agency to help us find individuals to hire who fit our culture, goals, and plans. We wanted a team to go outside of standard recruiting techniques to target the potential hires we wanted.

What was the scope of their involvement?

In the beginning, The CIB Group spent significant time getting a feel for our business’ goals and our ideal candidate. They helped us define the offer so it would be better communicated and more appealing to potential employees. Their team goes through resumes and vets the candidates they feel meet our qualifications. From there, they distill all necessary information into a message that recommends the candidate for an interview and submits it to us. My team then handles the internal process, but all aspects are coordinated with The CIB Group.

We work directly with Jim (CEO & Search Consultant, The CIB Group) and his assistant.

We started working together in 2013, and the engagement is ongoing. We continuously use their team to attract and hire sales talent.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

All candidates sent our way from The CIB Group have been very high quality. In our industry, if a company has over a 50% stick-rate, that’s a success and we achieved that. We’ve had a significant ratio of hires stay with us because of how well-suited they’ve been for us.

How did The CIB Group perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team couldn’t be better at keeping me in the loop. Jim takes care of the legwork before sending the candidates our way, including the communication with them on our behalf.  We primarily speak over phone and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The CIB Group knows what will be successful and how to attract the right candidates for the job. They truly took the time to understand our industry and what we’re looking for.

There’s nothing for them to do better, we’re entirely satisfied.

We engaged The CIB Group to help us recruit and train sales professionals to work for our company.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The CIB Group screens and recruits potential sales candidates through various outlets, including social media. After verifying potential candidates' skills, they send their resume to me for approval and I set up phone and in-person interviews from there. They also provide additional training to accepted candidates, help them acquire needed licenses, and coach them through our sales process.

What is the team composition?

I work directly with one person.

Our executive VP met them through a work function and the conversation grew into a relationship from there.

We've invested at least $20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We've been working with them since June 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The CIB Group's recruiting and training services have worked out really well for us. They're able to successfully identify qualified individuals who are a good fit for our culture. One of the more specific candidates we requested them to find is already on a path to becoming a validated producer in just six months time.

How did The CIB Group perform from a project management standpoint?

They're very communicative. I speak with their team at least once a week when we're actively recruiting.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're very easy to work with and transparent. I can have candid conversations with them and trust that they'll continue to find the right type of people for our company.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I've never met anyone on their team in person, so it'd be nice to have some face to face communication.
