We're a technology company that builds software to help job seekers remove job bias from their job search. I am the founder and CEO.

For what projects/services did your company hire Weby Agency?

We hired Weby Agency to optimize our product's user experience, recraft our landing pages, construct email drip campaign for onboarding users and cold outreach for prospects, and create social media posts.

What were your goals for this project?

There was a disconnect between the solution we were providing to our users and messaging that was being delivered to our users. Our goal was to minimize that gap by increasing new user signups and converting them into paying customers.

How did you select Weby Agency?

We searched for conversion rate optimization specialists for weeks on LinkedIn, and based on initial conversations with Santiago, we thought it was a good fit going forward.

After we discussed the scope, Santiago and I spoke at length about the user and the pain points we were trying to solve for our users. From there, Santiago and his team immediately dove into reworking the user experience of our product to remove bloat that confuses the user. Afterward, landing pages were reworked, signup flows were optimized for simplicity, and emails were crafted to increase engagement after signup. Santiago and his team provided the strategy and content needed to execute these projects.

I worked closely with the principal of Weby Agency, Santiago Luna. Santiago has 2 colleagues supporting him behind the scenes for my project.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since beginning our work, visitors to our site increased more than 2 fold and new sign-ups by 60%.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Santiago was great to communicate with. He was patient in attempting to understand our users and delivered action items and results on time.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The most impressive thing about Weby Agency was that Santiago and his team provided us with the structural framework on how to create effective content marketing campaigns which produce results. It was incredibly valuable to have this initial framework to build on.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Everything can always be done better, but if I were to nit-pick, I would have established one dedicated Google Drive folder to organize all deliverables. In the end, I'm appreciative of the strong foundation of our content marketing foundation laid out by Weby Agency.

I’m the owner and founder of BeThinketh LLC. We’re makers of a storage container currently selling in retail and e-commerce. We take a small five-gallon bucket and change its aesthetic by placing fabric on the outside.

What challenge were you trying to address with Weby Agency?

Our challenge was to get millennials and the Y generation to understand why my product is essential. We brought Weby Agency on for their web design services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, Santiago (CEO & Co-Founder) brought constructive thought patterns and analogies as to why approaching my product to a different market would essentially bring me to a different platform. Their team optimized the visual branding, layout, and content of our website including its homepage, product page, and sustainability value-add.

Next, we’ll move on to social media. We focused on the website first because we needed to articulate how our product has sustainability and a good carbon footprint.

I met Santiago at a conference. I wanted to work with them because of their trustworthiness, integrity, and experience. He was extremely transparent, and I could tell he had no agenda. Santiago is very approachable.

Our ongoing engagement started in November 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The VP of sales and marketing at one of the forerunners in recycling looked at our current changes on the website. One of the reasons they’re looking at doing a collaboration with us is because of some of the changes that Santiago suggested for our website. Their artwork is unquestionable; it’s second to none. I’m blown away.

How did Weby Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is over the top. Weby Agency’s timing and responsiveness are great. They communicated well through phone calls and email. Santiago sent a document where we could hear his voice over the artwork. I was totally dumbfounded. He used modern technology to get his point across.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m most impressed with their intuitiveness.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing that needs to be improved. Santiago’s direction is amazing. He has such a heart for people and his work ethic is exceptional.

Speak to him first just as a person. As business people, we tend to push the business first.

I met their founder through a connection. After an initial conversation, it was clear their team had a deep knowledge of the industry. Their framework seemed to be working for other businesses, so we decided to give it a try.

After partnering with Weby Agency, our customers were more easily able to understand who we are and what we do. We had much clearer messaging and we’ve grown a lot since working with them.

They always erred on the side of overcommunication. Weby Agency sets clear deadlines and follows through. They’re very professional.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Weby Agency is creative and confident. They were able to come up with catchy slogans and delivered changes backed up by arguments.

I would have appreciated seeing the framework and how they were approaching it upfront.

We were promoting two things, our new website and an AdTech summit we were hosting in the Central Valley. Weby Agency handled all of our marketing for that.

They worked with us to come up with a marketing strategy to promote the event. Weby Agency also helped come up with all of the design, graphics, logos, and other elements to engage with our sponsors. They mainly produced digital marketing materials for us, handling the branding for the event.

I mostly worked with Santiago, but I also worked with the designers.

I believe I was referred to them by one of the companies in our portfolio. I chose him over everyone else because I really liked their customer service and examples of work they did for other companies. I thought their talent was really spot-on.

I believe the cost was around $5,000.

We worked together from December 2019–February 2020.

We shared everything they produced with our team and our sponsors, and everyone really liked everything Weby Agency created. Our colleagues, employees, and stakeholders had positive feedback for it. 

How did Weby Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

At first, the work was a little slow since they have designers in different countries, but it picked up. I appreciated that there was no middle-person between us and their designers, too. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their actual designers were directly dealing and communicating with us, which I liked.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could have been more engaged in getting back to us sooner rather than later. There were some instances where it took a while to hear back from them.

If I had to give anyone advice, I’d say be very clear about your deliverables and set expectations.

I’m the founder of Farm and Me. We do farm to table services, connecting to the farmers. We operate here in the Bay Area, directly interacting with farms, fishers, and dairy and meat. Everything is organic.

What challenge were you trying to address with Weby Agency?

I needed my whole website revamped. Initially, I was catering to corporate. But this was all before the pandemic. When COVID-19 hit in March, I decided to transition my business into retail.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Weby Agency handled the copywriting, design work, and website development and integration. I wanted the site to be clean, eye-catching, and concise. From a UX point of view, the customer funnel needed to be in one or two phases until checkout because otherwise, the bounce rate would increase.

Santiago (CEO) coordinated everything with the developer and copywriter to put together the WordPress site. It also had a WooCommerce integration.

I worked with three of them.

Santiago and I were classmates at Stanford. I was looking for a developer that could handle my website, but everyone I came across wasn’t up to par. Weby Agency seemed serious and experienced. After reaching out to them, we had a proper conversation to show me pieces of design work. I gave them the signal to get everything done.

I’ve spent around $10,000.

We worked together from March–July 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Several of my customers said the new website was a big improvement. It’s easy to use, and that’s all that matters.

While our engagement ended, Weby Agency encouraged me to reach out to them. I’ve had a few tweaks, and they just did it for me willingly.

How did Weby Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

We used Skype and email while I was working with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team at Weby Agency takes the time to explain everything to their customers. In my experience, they also take the time to sketch everything out. Their team walked me through everything step by step. After a week, they would get back to me with updates on the different phases. That works well for someone who isn’t tech-savvy.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The timeline could improve. If you’re working with them, it’s best to expand your timeline. If you’re expecting things to be done in a month, it’s not going to work.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure to clearly define exactly what you’re looking for and what you want. Clear that up very early during the engagement. If it happens during the development, the changes will be difficult and cost a lot more.

The only thing I would say is that the difference in time zone made it a little complicated to square times for meetings making it a little complicated.
