Captivation Agency provides us with website services. They handle our website needs in terms of wallpapers, videos, photos, and similar things. We’ve updated our WordPress website around four times with their team since we want to stay relevant and up to date. 

During such projects, we usually have initial conversations with them. We discuss our goals and the intentions behind the project. They ask us if we need something to be integrated into the website. Based on our answer, they tell us the possibilities related to such integrations.

Once that information exchange is done, Captivation Agency goes into the actual scope of work. They send us the contract and determine the deliverables based on our discussions. I then read through the contract and ensure that everything’s in there. If something’s missing, I have another conversation with them, and they’ll tweak the contract accordingly. From there, I sign the contract and deposit funds. The project starts there. 

At present, Captivation Agency is helping us start another website for another company. Besides that, they’ve also created articles and started revamping our website’s SEO. They’re streamlining everything and reconsolidating information on our site.

Captivation Agency has definitely produced business for us. They’ve successfully created a system where customers are funneled into us in terms of reservations, phone calls, and unique inquiries. Even if we don’t have the budget for Google Ads to be on top of results, the team has done a great job of keeping us relevant. Overall, the quality of their work is excellent. We happily refer them to anyone needing a website. 

How did Captivation Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

They meet deadlines and stay on budget. Whenever we give them a budget for a project, they never go back to us telling us they need more — they’re always on budget and on time. Moreover, they have great communication within their group, so they always know what they need to do. 

In fact, I’m the person who holds stuff up. They meet deadlines, but I sometimes can’t review their outputs. It sometimes takes me 2–3 days to go through my emails. Despite that, they’re doing a great job. 

For communication, their office manager always monitors our emails, so their response times are phenomenal. She’s always there to escalate emails to whoever is needed. I can always give them a call, but nothing urgent usually warrants a phone call. Even if there’s a bug on the website, I can just email them a screenshot of it. Barry will then pick up the email and fix the bug within an hour or so. Overall, they have a well-organized team. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed with the things that Captivation Agency does that I sometimes take for granted. I’m not a technical person, but I’ve never had any issues with the things they do. For example, they come to us recommending things such as compliance items. They do that on their own, so I know they care about the business.

Moreover, they’re always actively monitoring the website and checking our emails, submissions, and forms. We’ve never asked them to do that, but they do it anyway to make sure everything works properly. There’s always going to be an issue at some point in the future, so they typically comb through everything to make sure everything’s good. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Give Captivation Agency a call and talk about your projects. They can help you strategize and optimize everything. They make sure your business or domain name is unique and sellable, allowing you to show up in search results. 

Overall, they’re good at what they do, so give them a shot. They might not be able to answer you right away, but that’s only because they want to make sure their answer is accurate and the best solution for you. They won’t tell you something you don’t need to know; they’re going to give you what you need. Captivation Agency isn’t going to sell you something just to make a quick buck — they’ll sell you something that’s actually useful.

I have received nothing but high compliments on how great the site is from my current clients as well as potential clients that visit it. The Out-of-Door Academy has worked with Captivation Agency on several projects throughout our partnership:

1. The digital marketing team set up our PPC campaign through Google AdWords, doing thorough research on our market and needs, discussing keywords and ad content, and ensuring our ads were running on Google Display Network, as well as Google Ads.
2. The design team designed a 12-page brochure through a very collaborative process. The end result was a beautiful printed piece used by the school's Admissions team, as well as in our hiring process.
3. The videography team partnered with us on several promotional videos, ranging from 2-minute videos to inspire donations at fundraising events for our not-for-profit institution to 10-second pre-roll videos for promotional purposes. In total, we have created more than 16 promotional videos. In addition, the team created videos for each of our 13 varsity sports, as well as overview promotional sports videos.

One of the most valuable components of our partnership was the relationship we formed with each member of Captivation's team. Response time on every inquiry was impressive and when our school's team was bogged down and unresponsive, they kindly nudged us with reminders to move our work forward.

Not only did Jim and the team deliver the requested projects in a timely manner, but they also go to know our school and our market well enough to make helpful recommendations on how we could have further impact in our competitive landscape. No question was never unanswered and my continual requests for minor edits were incorporated with patience.

A series of videos were developed with a focus on both internal and external audiences including Girl Scouts and their families, as well as, donors and the community. Nationally we launched a new brand and our materials needed a fresh update with local representation to encourage membership, donor investment, and general community support.

The initial focus was a general brand video production for broadcast and social media needs, followed by a series of 20 gold Award Girl Scout videos highlighting their Girl Scout Journey and the process to earn Girl Scouting's highest award, and culminated with capturing highlights and girls excitement during two award ceremonies.

Our organization hired Captivation Agency to produce an impactful video to be shown throughout our footprint. The goal was to make the audience laugh, cry, and show the impact mentoring has on our youth.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I have used Captivation Agency in the past t produce an agency video. I knew exactly who I would work with on this recent video as they did an excellent job on the last video and I know their work is top-notch.

We started with an initial conversation explaining what I needed and was looking to do. I reached out to the Bigs and Littles who would participate in the video explaining what I was looking for from them and that Captivation Agency would be reaching out to them moving forward to schedule the video shoots. They sent the information I worked with Captivation Agency ahead of time. Once the participants were contacted I was then sent the information so I could also be involved and present at the video shoot.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked with Team Wes and Taylor, and they were amazing! The participants also shared how much they enjoyed meeting them and how comfortable they made them feel. The process was smooth and flawless.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

we showcased the video at our sold-out event in which it received an astounding seal of approval from all the guests. In fact, a few of the guests who attend many events in the area stated it was the best nonprofit video they had ever seen. The impact was tremendous and just sealed for me what this video meant to those who experienced it.

The project manager was wonderful and communicated in a timely manner and was always in communication with me. He would be very clear with information and the process so I was always in the loop. He involved me with everything they were doing from start to finish.

They were professional and made everyone feel comfortable and at ease. Their work speaks for itself. I have known them for quite some time and will recommend them and have to those looking for anything in this field.
