What challenge were you trying to address with CadenceSEO?

We were looking for a partner to help with our digital media marketing. We had essentially no online presence or digital marketing footprint, so we hired CadenceSEO to help us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

CadenceSEO began by giving us an onboarding checklist and asking for information regarding our target audience, keywords, analytics, previous campaigns, business demographics and other specifics.

They’ve done an assessment to see how we might generate organic leads to, and through, our website. The team has indexed our site and enabled Google Analytics to measure the baseline of what the site was generating. They researched for optimal SEO keywords and applied SEO concepts to drive the best quality traffic to the website. They’ve also come up with a social media marketing strategy to increase traffic and clicks through SEO and PPC.

Besides recommending a web developer and designer to help evolve our site, the team is also currently working to create content, like thought leadership articles. We’ve given them admin access to the WordPress website. They’re also currently doing email campaigns.

What is the team composition?

There are at least four people working with us at any given time, with others jumping in on various tasks, such as copywriting. There is a project manager and his assistant, 2–3 copywriters, and someone running the email campaigns.

How did you come to work with CadenceSEO?

CadenceSEO was referred to us by another company. I had interviewed several people in my search for digital marketing assistants, but within five minutes of speaking to them for the first time, they were able to solve a problem regarding our visibility and indexing. We decided to hire them.

We’ve invested over $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in October 2020, and the project is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have seen 7,000% increase in website traffic. We get 3–5 leads per day now as opposed to having none before. We also have 98 backlinks where we previously had zero. The email campaigns are generating 4–5 meetings per week and the website is lightyears ahead of where we could’ve gotten without them.

How did CadenceSEO perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re excellent. They set a strategy with measurable outcomes and goals, and apply good follow-up and follow-through, as well as keeping us on track, to achieve them. We have weekly meetings with the whole team, exchange emails between meetings, and use Google Docs.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their expertise and ability to build, execute, and maintain an SEO strategy sets them apart. I’ve worked with several partners in the past for digital marketing, and they were just wrong. This is the first time I’ve felt comfortable that we’re doing a good job.

Are there any areas they could improve?

In hindsight, I might have said I wanted a more formal roadmap for the project. However, we may not have gotten the same results, so I’m not sure that counts.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Do it with CadenceSEO. There aren’t any long-term contracts; they work month-to-month. See if it works for you.

We initially started working together based on a referral from a past partner company. I’d been working with the principals of the company before they formed CadenceSEO. When They started the business, I became a customer of the company.

Their services are excellent. Organic search volume has significantly increased since we started working with them. The evidence is in the analytics that we’re doing much better. For instance, we’re ranking for target keywords in the top three search results.  

How did CadenceSEO perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re great project managers. We communicate through weekly Zoom calls as well as ad hoc phone calls and text messages. I preferred to keep communication simple. They offered project management tools, but we stuck to Google Docs based on my preference. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They communicate well, going the extra mile to deliver unique ideas and strategies to us. Instead of sticking to our general requirements, they work to go above and beyond, probably spending more time on it than allocated in the scope. I appreciate them making sure our project goes well. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

SEO is their main strength, but it would be great if they offered more services.  

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

We recommend them. They’re, by far, the best contractor we’ve worked with. There are plenty of companies that promise a lot but don’t deliver. They’re realistic in expectations and truly perform against them. It’s been nice feeling confident about their work and results every step of the way.
