We hired Breakline based on a recommendation from a very popular car marketplace in the UK. The goals where simple: Publish new content, create tools and linkable assets, secure high quality media placements.

Our website now ranks on the first page of Google search results for multiple targeted keywords, a significant improvement from our previous positions. We have seen a 300% increase in overall website traffic and a 500% increase in organic traffic specifically, affirming the effectiveness of the search engine optimization strategies implemented by Breakline. 

We now rank higher than websites that have been in the automotive industry for a decade. Really impressive stuff.

What challenge were you trying to address with Breakline?

Our old website was about 12 years old; it looked dated, and our clients weren’t engaging with it. As a young company in the industry, we needed to build a website that reflected that.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Breakline has built our new website from scratch. We initially met with them and gave them a brief of what we needed. They sent the information they required to ensure that our website complied with regulations. Since we offer different services, we decided to tackle each one individually to cover all the ground. We worked together to create page by page.

We’ve provided them with some facts, and they’ve given many suggestions on the graphics we could use. The site has some dynamic screens and graphics that come up when users scroll through. Breakline has also handled all the stock photography and SEO aspects.

They’ve geared the website to make it efficient for SEO, working on keyword research. First, they joined us in our office and met our team, and we went through the keywords we’d be targeting. They were honest and gave us a realistic idea of what was achievable with SEO so they wouldn’t overpromise. Additionally, we’ll start an SEO campaign with them in November.

We’ve only worked with Alex (Managing Director). Nina (Director) sends us the invoices.

We wanted somebody who could build our website and do our long-term SEO. What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We recently launched the website, but we’ve had positive customer feedback so far. The site is great, and it reflects who we are a lot better than the old one. Breakline found a way to display all our clients nicely, and the mobile version works extremely well. In terms of details, the website isn’t quite fancy, but it’s very clean and modern-looking, which is what matters. Overall, they did an excellent job.

How did Breakline perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is good. Since it wasn’t an urgent project, we didn’t need to have it done by a certain date. During development, sometimes they sent us prompts to provide them with something, and we weren’t able to reply immediately, so we were the ones that delayed the project. However, they’re always available in terms of communication, so we don’t have problems at all.

We mainly communicate via emails and texts; we don’t need anything more advanced. Additionally, we’ve used Zoom a couple of times and called Alex by phone many times.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re a big asset; the team is honest and cares about doing the best job. We’ve worked with companies before that don’t think through what they say. Whereas with Breakline, there are no misunderstandings; the process is very straightforward.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We honestly don’t have any issues; there’s nothing I can’t think of.

My advice is to be very honest about what you can afford, what you need, and how urgently you need to see results. Overall, paint an accurate picture; they’ll give you an honest reply, and you’ll be able to work out the project together.

Our rankings improved massively after working with Breakline for just a few weeks. We are now in top 10 for some highly competitive keywords. It really shows having an seo expert on your side. Our website looks much better as well and the conversions have improved by 10%.

The team at Breakline is very responsive via email, text, phone and video call. Their work ethic is impressive, and they are super proactive and knowledgeable. I always get an answer within minutes.

We targeted several keywords to try to push them higher on google. Given we are competing globally for some of them, Breakline managed to get us onto page 1 for terms such as 'Varicose Vein Cream', which was better than expected.

We speak as often as I require, Alex is available to me day or night via phone. Normally we text one another and then when sending attachments we use email. We have spoken on Zoom several times too.

Customer service is very strong and from the first conversation I was given a realistic strategy and honest appraisal of our previous website. The two previous companies I used over-promised and under-delivered, with Breakline I found the opposite.

Not really. Initially Alex and his team were based further away so we never met face to face however they are now in mainland England so that is easier.

What challenge were you trying to address with Breakline?

I was looking for a website company that could deliver results and get my website onto page on of Google. After that, I wanted to get in the top three positions of Google.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They built the website from scratch even though I had an existing one. Alex went through it and gave me the pros and cons of building a new one. I kept the same domain but the site is all new.

I provided them with certain formats I wanted to follow including the same color scheme and branding. They did the rest.

They didn’t provide analytics on Google initially since I was on a low budget to test their effectiveness, but we increased our budget in October of 2019. A monthly analytics report was part of that new agreement.

I work directly with Alex, the owner.

Originally, I found them through a Facebook post. I looked at their Facebook reviews, and they scheduled a call with me. I didn’t have to pay them first, but we had a detailed conversation about my needs and budget. That had never happened with other companies I’d used. They seemed very professional.

We spent £1,200 ($1,500 USD) over the first two years, and then the total is over £3,000 ($3,700 USD), including the website.

We’ve been working together since April 2018. The website went live in June 2018. I’ve been with them ever since.

I couldn’t get onto page one of Google. I was also in position nine, which is on page two, and that happened for three years. Now, he’s got me onto page one, and into the top three positions. No other company was able to do what Breakline has done.

How did Breakline perform from a project management standpoint?

Their timing is good. They gave a realistic estimate in terms of getting everything up and running. He communicates if he’s running late, too, so there’s no nonsense. He comes across as very honest with his planning.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s his honesty and communication. When I started off, he achieved great results on a small budget. Despite me asking him if he could achieve better results with more cash flow, he didn’t say yes. Other companies would have said yes and taken my money. Once we built that rapport — and we’re going into year three now — he’s only now saying let’s build up the budget to push it forward.

His communication is also fantastic. I message him on weekends, late at night, and he always replies back. It’s very efficient.

None at all, if I’m honest.

Speak with Alex and have schedule phone calls and conversations with him. Don’t be afraid. If you’ve got a low budget, he’ll give you honest advice and go out of his way to help you.
