Brand Vision supported our organization with the design and development of a new website, which included a branding refresh of our company colours, fonts and graphics. As an affiliate of an international organization, we had limitations of what we could change within our branding.

Brand Vision was tasked with elevating the branding of our parent organization and establishing a unique look-and-feel for our local affiliate. From there, they were tasked with redesigning and building our website which included:

• discovery research of other affiliate's sites, other local non-profits, and similar organizations
• helping us restructure the layout and designing the wireframe / site-map
• designing pages that spoke to each of our key stakeholder groups - develop prototypes of each page, including all elements and imagery
• creating custom blocks for our site and working with external platforms for integrations
• sourcing imagery and graphics that represented our organization and brand
• building the site on WordPress and connecting our url
• considering the user journey and user experience
• seo optimization, front-end mobile development, plug-in optimization

The primary deliverables for this project was elevated branding and the launch of a new site. We wanted this project to be very collaborative and tasked Brand Vision with bringing our ideas to life, while offering their expertise and suggestions throughout each stage of the project.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In working with Brand Vision, we successfully built and launched a new website that showcased fresh branding while still staying true to our parent organization's look-and-feel. Through this project, we were able to:

• establish our own unique look-and-feel
• modernize our branding
• speak more effectively to each our our key stakeholders
• restructure the layout of our site and how information was presented
• elevate our user experience
• seamlessly integrate the various external tools and platforms we use

Working with Brand Vision was an outstanding experience. The team was very hands on and willing to make the edits and changes we requested to the initial design. All items were delivered on time and they followed up as needed when we had outstanding deliverables or approvals. Throughout the process, Brand Vision was very patient with us, adjusting the project's timeline as needed so we never felt rushed.

The team was extremely flexible and accommodating throughout, maintaining constant communication through email and phone check-ins. Issues were brought to our attention immediately so they could be resolved in a timely manor. Brand Vision was with us every step of the way to ensure our needs were being met and that we were satisfied. They made us feel like we were their top priority and that they were ready and willing to support with whatever we needed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Brand Vision's excitement for our project made them an amazing organization to work with. We always felt like our project mattered and that they cared about it as much as we did. Their team was available whenever we needed them and kept in constant communication with us throughout. Their dedication to us and our needs was outstanding and really elevated our experience working with them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Brand Vision could have done differently?

Our organization works best when using a work-back plan or task management system to track deliverable due dates. Because the DFS Toronto team is small and we had conflicting projects happening at the same time, we could have benefitted from a detailed task schedule to ensure we did not fall behind on providing Brand Vision with the content or information they required to continue their work.

My only feedback for Brand Vision would be to use a project / task management tool to build out a work-back plan with clear due dates for the companies they work with. This would ensure projects stay on track and limited delays occur. I would also suggest scheduling check-ins throughout the project to make adjustments to the scope or timeline as needed.

They were great to work with. Direction changed a few times but they adapted. We went over timeline, but it was not their fault. Their response time was very good — we really appreciated it.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Great response time that, again, was much appreciated. From my experience, some people just do not respond very quickly!

Are there any areas for improvement or something Brand Vision could have done differently?

Knowledge of backend settings. When I transferred the website from GoDaddy to Wix, our DNS entries got deleted, and they didn't know that it would happen. They are designers, but knowing these things to warn people is something they will know for the future, for their benefit as well as their client.

I’m the founder of a fitness and mindset company. I help people achieve their fitness goals and provide them with a new mindset for a fresh start when they’re not happy with their current life.

I wanted to have a relatable logo that could stand out and make sense for our name, so I hired Brand Vision to help me with branding.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Brand Vision was responsible for designing my logo and defining its colors. Initially, I told them about my business and who I wanted to target, and they eventually came back with some rough designs. Then, we discussed which colors would be the best for the logo.

After delivering the logo, Brand Vision offered to design a website for me. However, I held that part off because I’m doing a reevaluation to see all my options before I go that route.

I worked directly with Kajal (Manager & Assistant Designer).

How did you come to work with Brand Vision?

I was doing research and stumbled upon them. From there, I compared them to other companies and thought that I would get the most value for my money with Brand Vision. I saw it as an opportunity, so I took it.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with them in February 2023, and I received my logo in March 2023.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Brand Vision exceeded my expectations on the logo I wanted. Although I’ve shared my new logo online and achieved some sales, I haven’t used it to its full potential yet. Moving forward, I plan to use it on my videos and some merchandise.

How did Brand Vision perform from a project management standpoint?

Brand Vision delivered on time and within budget. Moreover, their communication was good. They always responded within 24–36 hours.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Brand Vision worked exactly as I initially envisioned, and the results I got exceeded my expectations. Their team was very creative and used different images and content to come up with the best design for my logo, for which I’m very grateful.

Are there any areas they could improve?

This was my first logo design project, so I don’t know what Brand Vision could have done better.

Go in with an open mind and trust the process. During the initial meeting, go into very deep detail and open up about your company so that they can get an idea of where you’re coming from and give you what you’re looking for.

Due to our 50th anniversary as a company, we wanted to redo our visual identity, including our website.

Brand Vision has provided web design and development. They’ve started by setting up a project dashboard to manage the project’s tasks and send information and content. In addition, they use Figma to share designs with us so we can give them our feedback and discuss the creative part of the process.

We’re about to launch the site, so we’re currently ensuring that every comma is in the right place. In addition, their team provides ad hoc maintenance and updates to the platform.

We found Brand Vision through a Google search and chose them for this project because they were the first ones to get back to us, seemed client-centric, and had the same values as us as a company.

Brand Vision’s flexibility and ability to listen to what we want to do are key to the engagement’s success. They also commit to getting to know us to apply that to the site’s design and content.

How did Brand Vision perform from a project management standpoint?

Brand Vision’s team is empathic, compassionate, creative, and collaborative. They also meet deadlines and budgets, which is important for project management. In addition, Kajal has been very important in the process. Regarding tools and communication, we use Zoom, email, and a platform to share content.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Brand Vision goes above and beyond in adding more value to our business.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’re a Canadian-based company, so our site is in English and French. The French version of the site has been challenging because they can sometimes miss grammatical accents or other elements of the French language.

Have an open mind and give them the benefit of the doubt because they’ll overdeliver. In addition, be kind to them.

We wanted to create a new identity and showcase our creativity as a company.

We worked with Brand Vision for their content development and design services. We went through a discovery phase to identify our needs and what visual identity we wanted to achieve and created mock-ups for options.

They worked with our ideas and recommendations to finalize the content we were looking for. They implemented an elegant, modern, and sleep design based on our requirements and the inspiration we found on Pinterest.

The team delivered visual and written content, and they also consulted us on the best branding and graphic design practices.

We worked with a copywriter and strategist, a UI/UX designer, and a consultant.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve been seeing a lot of engagement from our social media posts, stories, and content we generated with Brand Vision. We also increased our followers thanks to the content and keywords they recommended to generate more leads.

How did Brand Vision perform from a project management standpoint?

The communication was really good, as they kept us informed and updated about where the project was and the content I needed to provide — it was very convenient, and they stayed on budget consistently.

They used Asana to track the project’s goals, and we typically communicated through email, phone, and Zoom meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their biggest strength is their creative perspective on design and development. I appreciate how they worked with us to find our inspiration and the creative techniques they used to enhance our ideas.

I also appreciate the fact that they were always reachable and communicative. I never had to wait days just to get a response from them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of any areas of improvement because I loved working with the team — they had a good process, and I didn’t have any negative experiences.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would advise you to make sure you know exactly what you want and come up with a plan that you want them to execute.

BACKGROUND

We are a film production, distribution, licencing and e-commerce company which have specialized in horror, science fiction and cult films for the past 30+ years. With a robust physical media and merchandise department that sells film related products we are a staple to the cult film collector's market. My role is e-commerce manager and digital marketing director for the company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

We needed to update our ecommerce storefront while moving over to modern sale channel in order to meet the demands of customers and the requirements for digital advertising. 

SOLUTION

We chose Brand Vision based on great Clutch reviews, a long list of Google Marketplace reviews, and the presentation they provided while initially discussing the scope of the project. 

The project included an onboarding phase, discussion on how our throughts and ideas could be implenented in the new design, and then a project roadmap phase where we saw the new site come together from outline to completion. 

We worked with the website developer, the project manager and administration while completing this project.  All of them were very helpful, attentive to our needs, and responsive when questions arose. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

The final design of the site is exactly as we had hoped it would be. The design is responsive, clean and modern while giving us the opportunity to use the Shopify platform to expand our digital marketing initiatives and broaden our reach to potential customers. 

The management of this project by this team was efficient, considerate to our inquiries and concerns, and delivered to our expecations and well within the timeframe we anticipated. There were no surprises related to cost or scope of their abilities and throughout the course of the project and they continue to be very helpful and responsive now that the website is in our hands. 

The most impressive things about Brand Vision are their responsiveness and efficiency. There was not a lot of going back and forth in discovery and never did they try to upsell or change the scope of the project. Everything we asked for during discovery was included in the final design and it felt effortless during the prodction.

What challenge were you trying to address with Brand Vision?

We wanted to refresh our entire web presence, including our website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Brand Vision redesigned and developed our website using Webflow. First, we met with the team and explained what we wanted to do. During the onboarding process, they looked in-depth at what we were doing and what we needed. They sent us an invoice and proposal, which we approved. For a few weeks, we had some meetings with the team to discuss the project and then had regularly scheduled updates from them on the design work. 

We sent over our branding, brand guidelines, and templates we wanted to work from and base the site on. Brand Vision customized the templates and built them out further for us. We wanted our home page to show images in a clean way that wasn’t overwhelming, and the team designed that for us. Users can see our most important and notable projects as they navigate the site.

They used Figma for the design. The team made an initial mock-up, a prototype, and a live site. Finally, they transferred the design over to our domain. Once it was complete, they came in and gave us a walkthrough of the site from the backend so that we could understand how to use it and train our whole team.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The site functions as intended and exceeded our expectations. The update has been really well received internally and externally; everyone who sees it is blown away by it. Since the project wrapped recently, we don't have any statistics yet. 

How did Brand Vision perform from a project management standpoint?

They were extremely efficient and met every single deadline. Any delays we had were on our team. Brand Vision was amazing from a timeline perspective, and very understanding of our team being so delayed. The team was also respectful of the budget, which was amazing; we never felt like we would go over the budget. When we wanted changes or asked for tweaks, they were timely in implementing them.

As for communication, we appreciated that we only had one point person, which was important to us because we didn't want to navigate different contacts. Our point of contact diffused all the information who whoever it needed to go. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

What I liked most about working with Brand Vision was their customer service. While we were really happy with how the site turned out, the way they listened to us and took every piece of feedback into account stood out. Sometimes, when I've worked with other developers, it felt like I had to review every change they made and reiterate things, and that was never the case with Brand Vision. They always did what they said they would do and were really consistent.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I didn't think there were any areas they needed to improve; we were really happy working with them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Brand Vision works as a collaborative creative partner, so if you have ideas or examples that you like, they'll understand them because they're adaptable to several different styles. If there's something you'd like to achieve from a functionality perspective or an idea you're not sure how to execute, they're also really good at finding solutions. Just be ready to communicate and ask questions — they're great.

I am a Graphic Designer for Bonus Track, which is a Toronto Creative Agency. We bring over-the-top marketing solutions to brands while specializing in activations, digital campaigns, influencer marketing and social media.

For what projects/services did your company hire Brand Vision?

P&C new sister agency Bonus Track recently launched and required a gorgeous, colourful and impactful website to match the energy of our work and services. Brand Vision built out the temporary landing page and full website, including customized CMS features and an easy-to-use backend.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were in the market to build out three brand websites and Hamoun and his team were organized and easily accessible to contact. The process was very simple and Hamoun consistently updated our team with efficient timing.

After having our discovery call, our team picked out the templates we envisioned for each website and Hamoun brought all the customization to life. We supplied all of the imagery and copy, and Hamoun curated each website page to fit our design needs while keeping up with our consistent feedback in a timely manner.

Hamoun worked with us all throughout the project making the process consistent and easy.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our team is very happy with the final outcome and believe that the Bonus Track website is an amazing reflection of our work and services. Multiple clients have mentioned how fun, colourful and resourceful the website is!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was very effective. Of course there is a lot of back and forth with feedback, especially for a design oriented company - but Hamoun was able to provide a solution for all of our requests.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was thoroughly impressed by how efficient, and communicative Brand Vision was. I would provide feedback and the updates would be made within hours with immediate email responses.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There are so many details going into building a website and multiple round of feedback, so every once in a while tasks/updates would be missed - but once we informed Brand Vision, they were quick to make those updates.

We worked together from April–June 2022.

How did your relationship with the vendor evolve?

I didn’t like Brand Vision’s branding work because I didn’t feel like it reflected what I had asked for. They didn’t take the time to understand what I wanted; the intake interview took about 20 minutes, and they didn’t ask the right questions. Based on their process, they’re used to working with larger clients. Since we were a small startup, it seemed like we weren’t a priority to them.

Describe the impact this engagement has had on your business.

Their work didn’t meet our expectations, which led to delays in our launch because we had to start from scratch with another service provider. Ultimately, we didn’t just lose money but also time. 

How did Brand Vision perform from a project management standpoint?

They were quite strong on the time management side. The team was really conscious of meeting the deadlines that I put forth. We had regular Zoom meetings and communicated via email. Additionally, we met when they had deliverables to show me. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could have paid more attention to the discovery phase. I didn’t feel like they were interested in getting to know our brand or me, and that reflected in their work. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They might not be the right company for you if your company is a startup, if you don’t have a specific concept in mind, or if you’re starting from scratch.
