1. When we had the meeting with the copywriter, I wished she had been on previous calls too to further understand our business and what our customers need.
2. I think we would have saved some time in the QA if a few core pages were in dev and reviewed earlier in the process vs. reviewing the whole site in dev at once.
3. I'm familiar with WordPress, so I don't need much training on the backend, but someone less familiar would need more hands-on learning.

As part of our new management team, our company underwent a renaming, relocation, and rebranding of the business during 2024. BOP Design was hired by our company to create a brand new logo, color scheme, and aesthetic for this new business. The design work was focused on creating a minimalist, contemporary-looking logo that captured the underlying notions behind our new name. This was coupled with designing a curated color scheme to help drive forward the aesthetic.

Specific timelines were established regarding design brief deliveries, revision completions, and submission of final "materials".

BOP did an incredible job of exceeding these timelines, which was particularly notable during the first few rounds of design revisions when we provided extensive change feedback.

The BOP team spent an extensive amount of time on diligencing our motives, goals, and concepts behind the rebranding. They truly sought to align with us on a strategic level such that their work was going to be value-additive, not just "going through the motions." 

This approach forced us to push the rebranding concepts even further and tighten them up, so BOP provided us with more than just a digital product. It is rare that a vendor can provide a firm-wide impact when working on a small component, so the team is truly talented, experienced, and professional in our opinion.

None, we thoroughly enjoyed working with the BOP team and look forward to future collaborations.

Unfortunately, the final website product needs extensive backend work to improve load times and website speeds. It seems that multiple languages were a challenge for the team, and based on a review of the backend, they simply created 5 copies of the website. Hence our issues with load times.

Do not use this company for a website if you work in multiple languages or plan to in the future.

As BOP worked through the different parts of this project, they kept us in the loop and updated us on progress and projected end dates. As part of our rebrand, they sent over progress updates on items such as logo choices, branding spec documents, and resources and delivered the final versions within the date ranges they had given us at the start of the project. BOP is very transparent on progress and willing to go out of their way to update and clarify where items stand.

BOP was very on top of owning and managing our project. We had a tight deadline for BOP on this project and it was not an issue for them. They stayed on top of the deadlines that they had and made sure that both parties were delivering items needed to progress. They were able to complete the project prior to our deadline and updated us quickly when we asked for progress reports along the way. This was a very well managed project.

There were a few miscommunications and things we expected that weren't clear in the beginning that had to be worked through during the project that could have been discussed more extensively before the project began.

Our website redesign project included: a Website Redesign & Brand Refresh, Content Writing, On-page SEO, and Logo Redesign. Bop provided us a comprehensive plan which included a creative discovery, creative pitch, custom UI design, Web Development, Content Audit, Keyword Research, copywriting, and more.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We just went live on our website project, so I'm hopeful that we will be able to generate more leads, but right off the bat, the feedback we have received on the design, navigation, and UX has been all positive. They were able to better represent our core competencies, and why we're leaders in our industry. 

This project wasn't easy navigating all of the stakeholders involved, but the Bop team was professional, talented, and overall a joy to work with. I'm more than happy we decided to partner with Bop over competing vendors.

The Bop team was extremely responsive and responded to all deadlines, schedule timelines, and communications as expected. Our final launch date pushed a few weeks beyond initially expected, however I think that was due to the extent of content on our old site that was needed to migrate over.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Most impressive was definitely the knowledge each and every team member I interacted with throughout the duration of this project. Starting from our very first intro call with Jeremy, I was confident Bop Design had the knowledge and experience our company was looking for.

From then on, the project team, including Jess and Kara were our go-to's. Daniela is beyond talented and I was blown away by the first designs she showed us, including logos, Katrina somehow made lemonade out of sour lemons, and Emily's development expertise was impressive and accommodated all of our dev requests.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Bop Design could have done differently?

I can't think of one thing, but If I HAD to be nit-picky, the turnaround timelines for copy approvals were very fast, like 3-days for 55 pages of copy. We often had to request more time, which was always accommodated.

Yes, deliverables were on time. There were occasions when we had to shift timelines a bit due to competing events on our side. This is in part due to our industry and the requirement to have formal reviews at various stages. Everyone on the BOP Design team is extremely responsive.

Throughout the project, I was providing feedback - it was addressed within a very short time frame. Requests for ad hoc meetings were always accommodated. They went to great lengths to ensure the site me the requirements I laid out for the present, but also set the foundation for future needs.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What impresses me most is the ability of the BOP Design team to understand the customer needs in such detail that they act as an extension of our team - they become a true partner. It's not accidental - they take the time up front to learn about the company and your goals, your audience, what inspires you, etc. Being able to provide that detail up front, and BOP Design taking the time to truly understand it sets the project up for success at the start.

In addition, our communication and working/project management styles are completely aligned, so that also contributes to things going smoothly. I knew this going in having done 2 previous web design projects with them at other companies. What is special is that even though the team members on the projects varied, the way in which the project was executed did not. That consistency in the experience and quality of the web designs is impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Bop Design could have done differently?

Absolutely not - I loved the way they worked and the results they delivered. I have chosen to work with them 3 times because there is nothing that I would have them do differently.
