Deliverables were consistently on time, and when adjustments were needed due to internal reviews on our end, their team was flexible and proactive in keeping everything on track.

They were highly responsive to our needs, open to feedback, and thoughtful in how they incorporated accessibility, medical accuracy, and usability into our site. Working with them feels like a true partnership.

What impresses us most about Blennd is their ability to truly understand and interpret our unique needs. They took the time to learn about PSC, our community, and the sensitivities involved, and then translated that understanding into a website that will reflect both the complexity of our work and the humanity behind it. Rather than offering a one size fits all solution, they listened closely and are delivering thoughtful recommendations that are tailored to our mission and audience.

We engaged Blennd to build our website, but unfortunately, the final product fell short of our expectations and has led to ongoing issues. Despite investing significantly, we encountered several technical and structural problems that have impacted both usability and SEO performance.

Firstly, the site was launched with unnecessary slug changes that negatively affected our SEO. Key pages, including our homepage, experienced critical errors, making them inaccessible at times. The homepage, for instance, had PHP errors due to syntax issues, specifically array offset issues on string variables. These types of errors should not exist in a finished product from a professional agency.

The site contains several modules that function awkwardly, often lacking intuitiveness. For example, FAQs have appeared out of order, pages broke frequently, and in some cases, pages went missing entirely. We've also been charged for hours Blennd spent fixing their own mistakes, which was frustrating and felt unfair given the high cost of the project.

Performance was also a major letdown. We emphasized site speed and optimization as priorities, yet the site failed initial performance tests. Only after we made additional adjustments did the site perform to an acceptable level.

Other design choices have been confusing and disruptive to our workflow. FAQs are hosted on uneditable, unattractive pages, blogs remain hidden until tagged, and sections inexplicably labeled as "xxx Archive" appear on live pages, creating a disjointed experience. We had expected these elements to be handled professionally without the need for so much handholding.

While we could have been more hands-on, we had hoped that, with the cost and promises made, we’d be able to take a more hands-off approach. Blennd's service and attention to detail were not up to par with the investment we made.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

We received a shared google document that had deadlines to track each phase of the project. Check in calls were held a key milestones. Some items were delayed at the tail end due to increased complexity that wasn't discovered upon initial scope. Our project manager did a great job of working hard and add'l hours to ensure that the project didn't go too far beyond the original launch date.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I really liked that the CEO would walk us through the first few builds. It showed that the leadership was involved and cared, not just abandoning us once the scope was signed. Our project manager was responsive and easy to work with. He cared about our project.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Blennd could have done differently?

I think more of a walk through of the sitemap early on would have helped us avoid later changes, but also to better understand the full build and to think through needs earlier on. We weren't incredibly involved at the beginning which was great from a bandwidth perspective, but this made it feel like we were out of the loop for the first few months which was a bit unsettling.
