What business challenge were you trying to address with Binariks?

My experience is in backend enterprise systems and data integration. As my experience in app/web development is limited, finding a partner who could provide a complete solution (coding, design, administration, and further development) was essential.

SOLUTION

Please describe the scope of their involvement in greater detail.

Binariks developed the website, as well as the iOS and Android apps for my social network.

I lacked general experience with JavaScript, JQuery, CSS and all the other technologies behind my platform, so I thought that the development wouldn't take longer than two months to complete. Other options have opened since we started the work, but Binariks has provided good feedback and delivered results. I've had a single point of contact from Binariks' team. 

How did you come to work with Binariks?

I had worked with other companies from Eastern Europe, and received good service at reasonable prices, generally speaking. I looked for a new partner from that area and found Binariks. I assumed that they would put in more effort and provide better work than average, since they were just starting out. I talked to their principal and had a good impression, so we started a collaboration.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

The cost of Binariks' work has been around $12,000 so far. My initial budget was much lower, but after taking into consideration the full scope of the project, I was more than happy to have a partner support my project. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Binariks in September 2016. The apps have been completed and they are functional, but we are working on the bells and whistles that will make them more enjoyable to use by end-users. I plan to use Binariks in order to make those improvements, and they will act as my administrators for the site.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

Binariks has a good programming team with a logical approach to the work. The app is still in beta and only has a few local users, but we did a test a few days ago and received positive initial feedback. The app is lacking a few small details related to user experience, like some icons being too small, but those are all easy to change.

How did Binariks perform from a project management standpoint?

Binariks has been easy to work with and didn't require a lot of hassle on my end. Their communication is usually good: I can reach my contact at any time. There is nothing in particular that stands out as a negative about them.

What distinguishes Binariks from other providers?

It's difficult to say what Binariks did especially well, since everything was good. My apps are solid in terms of coding; the overall performance has been excellent.

Is there anything Binariks could have improved or done differently?

Despite being very good communicators, Binariks could still improve. Having said that, whenever there had been misunderstandings, they were resolved in a good and timely manner. At the end of the day, the results and the coder were excellent.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the Director of Software Engineering at an AI-powered platform that autonomously translates clinical notes into billing codes. Our platform streamlines medical coding, reduces manual workload, and improves coding accuracy and efficiency for healthcare providers.

What challenge were you trying to address with Binariks?

We needed to increase our engineering capacity to deliver a new product to the market within timelines to hit customer commitments.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Binariks works with our existing software development team to build, test, and deliver capabilities needed for the new product launch. The team is responsible for developing functionality needed to support medical coding automation for surgery and endoscopy medical specialties.

What is the team composition?

We’re working with three teammates from Binariks.

How did you come to work with Binariks?

I was contacted by Oleh, the founder of  Binariks, at DTx East 2022. We were both attending the event, and my company at that time was presenting there. Oleh was looking to build some connections at that conference.

I had previous success working with a staff augmentation partner based in Ukraine, and Binariks had the best rates among the partners I was considering.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Binariks at Codametrix in July 2024, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since this is a staff augmentation project, CodaMetrix directly assigns and oversees the work produced by Binariks’ team members. The measurable outcomes are based on the percentage of planned tickets completed within the sprint, the objectives achieved each sprint, and the progress towards committed delivery dates.

How did Binariks perform from a project management standpoint?

Since CodaMetrix handles project management responsibilities, it’s not applicable to this project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with Binariks’ transparency and ownership. The team takes the initiative to evaluate its own talent provided to the project. They also find ways to improve collaboration and performance of their team members. When necessary, they find a replacement for an underperforming member.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Binariks could work more closely with all CodaMetrix team members overseeing talent provided by them when the talent is onboarded. They should validate that the talent is a good fit for the project or task at hand.

I didn’t oversee the QA talent that was provided, but the situation there didn’t end well and made it difficult to consider getting a replacement on that team.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Binariks provided additional development team members (FE/BE/QA) to help us with feature development, maintenance, testing, and deployments on our homebuilder customer experience platform. The technologies used are primarily Angular and Python. They are very involved in the success and ownership of each project.

Binariks was very responsive and helpful with all of our needs. It took some time to get team members onboard, but they set those expectations from the beginning. They involved us in the candidate process and answered all of our questions along the way.

We are developing a mobile application to connect our connected clothes to a mobile phone.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We have interviewed several companies and the engineers from Binariks were really outstanding when it came to the technical skills.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We are using Flutter, bluetooth LE and provide a game-like experience in our app.

We had one mobile software developer from Binariks

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have been able to deliver complex UI with advanced graphs and data visualisation in time for our product launch. On top of that, the engineers have been extremely agile and autonomous, taking input from our designers and iterating quickly to reach the desired outcome.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We have fully embedded the engineers in our internal team and we had touch points multiple times per day mostly through Slack, Github and video calls.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We have been impressed by the very quick ramp-up time. We have fairly complex use cases with a large code base and the team has been able to quickly be up to speed and make their first contribution very quickly.
