We needed help with custom software development for our end client, who wanted to build an app to boost their employees' productivity.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Binariks has been helping us with software development for our end client, which is in the real estate business. The team has been responsible for the ideation phase, including hearing our end client’s needs and determining what we need to build. We’ve also helped the end client cut out the scope.

Binariks has proposed the technology to use and come up with the idea of using existing software instead of building everything from scratch. The team has used a catalog creation software to make the initial development cheaper. Our end client has agreed that this approach meets their requirements.

The team has designed the software's architecture, which helps customers design houses based on their requirements. Binariks will also offer maintenance.

What is the team composition?

We work with six teammates from Binariks, including a senior full stack developer, two full stack developers, a UX designer, a QA specialist, a project manager, and a product owner.

How did you come to work with Binariks?

I met Binariks’ CEO at a software-related conference in Ukraine. I liked his ideas and what I heard about the company, so we tried a small project related to blockchain that worked quite well. I’ve been working with Binariks from time to time ever since.

We’ve invested around $200,000.

We started working together in January 2025, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our end client is happy with the MVP's quality and the project's current state. Binariks handles issues professionally. The team is open to understanding the end client's feedback, and we have conversations to understand how to approach it.  

How did Binariks perform from a project management standpoint?

Binariks’ project management has been flawless. We communicate using Google Meet, and Binariks’ approach to communication has helped us gain trust from our end client. The initial scope has expanded, and hence, the investment has gotten a little larger than we initially anticipated for the MVP.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Binariks' trustworthiness is impressive. The team is clearly structured, so there’s no confusion about who’s responsible for what.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything Binariks can improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be as open as possible. You can consult the team up to the business management level to build the service. Give as much information as you can to Binariks and keep an open dialogue, then you'll get good results rather than strictly controlling what they can think of.

What challenge were you trying to address with Binariks?

We needed help with the data analytics side of our business. We wanted to build a data warehouse and leverage our data using business intelligence tools for visualizations.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We were shopping around for a while, trying to find a group that could help us pick a tool for visualizing our data and start structuring it. The initial phase was consultative, looking at our databases and how our data was structured. We figured out how to pull the data together in a repository, allowing us to clean the data and use it to gain more insights into our business.

We’re still doing this, and Binariks has been bringing in tools to help us with data analytics, such as Snowflake and Fivetran. We’re already using AWS, and our infrastructure is in the cloud.
The goal is very targeted, we basically need to leverage our data on different databases and analyze it, that's what we look for them, because we don't have that expertise in-house.

We’ve met around five teammates, but we mainly work with two people: a data scientist and a project manager.

They contacted us. A representative from Ottawa, Canada, reached out to me, and we had a couple of discovery calls.

We started working together around May 2024, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve built our data warehouse, and they have laid the foundation for our data analytics strategy. The solutions are performing as expected and meeting our business objectives. We’re a population health-driven company, so we want to gain insights into our data. We still have a lot of work to do, but we’re happy with what they’ve built. We've had regular hiccups, but we've been able to work well together.

How did Binariks perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve made deadlines and stayed on budget. We use Jira and Slack to stay efficient and communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have a lot of knowledge. Binariks is a young team, and I think the company has a lot of depth. Depending on your needs, you can find the expertise you need within the company. You won’t be limited in your needs; you can go further because they have more than just the people you work with. It seems to be a highly skilled workforce.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, everything has gone very well.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Come with a very clear mandate about what you want. It always helps Binariks or any group you’re trying to work with.

We lacked a lot of internal expertise, and at times, we had difficulties articulating exactly what we wanted. So, the challenge was on our side, and it became challenging for them because they realized that we just lacked expertise.

They understood that we lacked that expertise and then brought in other experts to help guide us and think about what we thought we needed. We adjusted things in time that didn't fit our needs. So I think they have ways of adjusting in flight to make sure that what you need is what you're going to get.

I’m the head of global application development and support for an alternative investment fund, also known as a hedge fund, specializing in private equities and non-performing loans.

We had a couple of resources from Binariks working for us on React app development.

At one point, we had four developers working on frontend development on different apps for us.

We spent between $200,000–$900,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them around 2019 and stopped in July 2024. Our CFO mandated that we transition our consulting away from a variety of service providers to a single provider. Unfortunately, we had to let Binariks go. Still, it had nothing to do with their performance or skills, and I would use them again for other projects.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Overall, Binariks' resources did a great job. All of them were fantastic resources. Usually, I have to interview a lot of developers to find a good one. However, every developer I interviewed from Binariks was pretty solid. I measured their success by assessing whether they got up to speed quickly, contributed as individuals, participated in our code reviews, and were reliable in doing all the work. All of the developers we had through Binariks scored very highly in all those metrics.

How did Binariks perform from a project management standpoint?

Binariks was very communicative. We communicated through Microsoft Teams meetings, audio calls, and chats. Every two weeks, I had a call with a project coordinator.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Binariks deployed a very effective small team of specialized developers who could work with our existing development team. They were all very capable of operating independently and within the framework of our existing app. Therefore, I felt very comfortable with them after a very short time. Binariks augmented our team very quickly, and their resources started adding value to the team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There was nothing Binariks could have improved on. At one point, I had an issue with one of the developers. However, I mentioned it to the project manager, and they took care of it immediately. Overall, they took feedback very well, adapted, and adjusted.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

There isn't any particular advice needed. Binariks has extremely solid developers.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Binariks' communication is their biggest strength, and we have monthly check-ins with the team. Binariks recruit good talent, although we haven't requested other roles yet.

I can't think of anything for Binariks to improve.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

When searching for staff augmentation providers, we interviewed Binariks' team as if they would be full-time employees, and I was happy with that. I recommend using a similar approach when engaging with Binariks.

I'm the CTO of BlueVoice Inc., a seed-stage large language model company targeted primarily at first responders. Our first product vertical is for law enforcement officers.

What challenge were you trying to address with Binariks?

We needed help with building our initial designs, our prototype to be used for sales calls, and our initial product.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Binariks helped us design and develop our first product, and they also onboarded our full-time engineers onto the technical solutions that their team implemented. Initially, we had a lot of sit-down calls, where we basically did a data dump of everything we were looking for. I had a lot of interviews with Binariks' designer and business analyst to create the user stories. The discovery process was planned to last two weeks, but it was extended for another week because it was very comprehensive.

Their design work included everything, from user stories to actual Figma designs. After the design phase, there was a 6–8-week sprint cycle focused on developing the first prototype. This prototype was very simplistic; it didn't have a lot of bells and whistles. The prototype simply included the main chat page, which was the feature I wanted to showcase. After the prototyping phase, Binariks went into the full development phase for another two months.

For the actual solution implementation, Binariks used React Native, FastAPI, and Python. This solution was created as both a web and a mobile app. Since law enforcement officers use mobile phones and cruiser computers, we had to support both platforms. Moreover, Binariks used AWS for DevOps. Within AWS, they used Cognito, RDS, Textract for document analysis, and OpenAI APIs for machine learning.

What is the team composition?

At the peak of development, we had eight teammates from Binariks working on the project. The full-time team included a frontend engineer, a backend engineer, and a machine learning engineer. On a part-time basis, Binariks' team included a designer, a QA, a business analyst, a product manager, and a system architect.

How did you come to work with Binariks?

They came as a referral from a colleague of mine from school. She had used them for her startup and highly recommended them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent roughly $150,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from September 2023–February 2024.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Thanks to Binariks, we were able to launch pilot programs in two departments successfully. In those programs, 20 officers used our new product, analyzing over 500 questions without crashes or complaints.

How did Binariks perform from a project management standpoint?

Overall, Binariks' project management was great — I would give them almost perfect scores. Although some areas could have been improved, they were very clear about their expectations. For the most part, they were on time. Moreover, they were very realistic about what they could accomplish and consistently accomplished. We primarily communicated via Slack and Google Meet.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

I would like to give a shout-out to Iryna (FinTech Product Director). She was excellent to work with and really capable at her job, helping me facilitate development and communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Binariks was capable of taking a design, providing adequate timelines and resources, scoping the project out, and delivering it. In my experience, most people can't deliver, but Binariks delivered.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Some of the technical designs could have been done with more forward-thinking thought. Still, I understood that they were working with the timelines we had. Other than that, there was nothing Binariks could have improved on.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Having consistent meetings and joining the daily sinc-ups is a great way to work. Moreover, having an independent and internal technical manager overseeing the approved designs is also really critical to the project. In addition to that, provide them with specifications, don't change things too close to the deadline, and be very thorough with the documentation you provide them. Doing those things is essential for them to do a good job.

HUE already has a system that provides the ability to find the product’s shade and upload user generated video reivews. However, the main goal for us is to reduce onboarding to improve workflow so Hue can launch faster with the brands and partners. 

At the moment, we spend a lot of time signing a contract, launching the product, and customizing each brand’s product. Binariks was hired to make a new application based on the old application. The new application must be scalable for faster launching new customers.

Binariks develops the application in its entirety, for good communication and product delivery, the team uses Scrum and Jira. All team members adopted the flow quickly and effortlessly. Binariks also provided us with meeting notes on high-level meetings and weekly status reports with a detailed description of the work accomplished.

2. Provide development and test support to other Engineering teams, as needed. These efforts includes CI/CD improvements, addressing gaps in monitoring and alert coverage of cloud components and supporting feature development work.

1. The manual effort of standing up a new environment that previously took about two weeks, was automated using IaC and now takes fifteen minutes.

Binariks is helping to build application from scratch. We are planning to release the MVP(Minimal Viable Product) version in the middle of August. We are constantly adding new features to the scope and prioritize them.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• We now have an automation framework at Modo Labs. We can now apply this to the next version of this product along with other products we will want to automate.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

I interacted with the PM about once a month for a quick check-in. The lead qa person also did some PM work with me to strategize what we need from a technical standpoint. Things ran smoothly. It took a little longer than expected to get everything up and running, especially in mobile, but that was ok. There were challenges on our end that required changes in our code too. I think tests were delivered on time for desktop. Mobile took longer, but those are done now too.

I love the people I interact with at Binariks. Everyone I've been has been nice and personable. They're professional and down to earth, very easy to talk with. The QA resources I've worked with are very motivated and always want to get ahead of the game. If improvements are needed, they get done in a timely manner. Aren't these the qualities people want in all the people they work with?

Are there any areas for improvement or something Binariks could have done differently?

Honestly, no. I've had a very positive experience so far with Binariks.
