BERK Labs, LLC was not our first PPC provider. Whenever we change providers, we allow the new team to start from scratch. Meanwhile, the ads from the previous company keep running to give us that coverage while the new team gets up to speed. Once the new vendor has their own strategies, they go through our account to see what phrases, keywords, and target areas perform better.

Because of how our platform is set up, it’s tricky for us to track conversions. However, we have seen the number of impressions and clicks on our website increase dramatically since we hired BERK Labs, LLC.

Josh does a great job helping us understand what BERK Labs, LLC is doing and what strategies they’re implementing. I’m the liaison from the clinic’s side. I provide information about the number of phone calls we received, what services people are looking for, what questions they’re asking, and how they find us. I give Josh that feedback, and then he provides insight based on Google Ads data and other analytics.

BERK Labs, LLC’s knowledge of marketing platforms is much deeper than that of other companies we’ve worked with. They understand the metrics that platforms provide and the strategies that work best. Josh, in particular, has given us a much more full view of how PPC and Google Ads work. I appreciate having that insight.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Pricewise, BERK Labs, LLC charges much higher prices than some of the previous agencies we’ve worked with. However, you get what you pay for, and we’ve seen immense value in their services.

Spend as much time getting information out of BERK Labs, LLC. They’ll help you better understand PPC and how their changes will impact your business. Moreover, you’ll learn what you can change within your business to get even better results.

Josh has decreased our ad spend while increasing our click-through rate and conversions. We’ve only had to pay nominally more in paid traffic spend for significantly higher traffic than we anticipated. These results have outpaced our expectations.

We wanted to improve our customer acquisition. Like many startups, we didn't have the expertise in-house to create the right digital marketing and advertising campaigns.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We have a milestone in August 2018 when several cohorts of coding bootcamps are set to begin. They’re preparing our digital advertising campaigns in order to hit our August targets. BERK Labs created several campaigns to bring net new visitors to our website. They’re using remarketing campaigns to nurture visitors to the website, and drive conversion rates of visitors to registered students. They ensure that we’ve aligned our advertisements to our key messages, and helped us think through what message will be most successful at engaging our audience. They took over our Google AdWords account, and created the advertisements themselves. While working on the website itself isn't part of the scope of work, they offer feedback on the quality of the site and how we can improve the experience.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Before they took over, we had one campaign and three ads. After only two weeks, they’ve created five campaigns and are running 150 ads. They’re targeting search and display for Google, and we're just starting to see an uptake on the display campaigns. Also, the cost per click is quite lower than it was before. We don't expect a huge number of registrants, but our intermediate metrics look promising.

I gave them a short time frame to set everything up, and it only took them 10 days to meet that deadline. We communicate as needed. It was almost every day in the beginning, and now it's every other day or every three days.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Joshua is an expert and really knows what he's doing. He goes above and beyond in offering constructive feedback on our website. Most vendors adhere strictly to the scope of the contract. Joshua took an interest in our business, and offers excellent guidance and feedback.
