RideNow is a Cyprus-based car-sharing service that lets users quickly rent a car via a mobile app and end the trip at any available parking spot in Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, or Paphos, including the airports.

What challenge were you trying to address with BAR Agency?

We needed help with our marketing and design needs.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

BAR Agency took full ownership of RideNow’s marketing and design. They developed our brand identity and guidelines, designed the customer mobile app and interfaces for all internal services, created a new website, advertising campaigns and materials, and designed vehicle decals and other offline branding elements.

What is the team composition?

Eight team members were assigned: three designers, one marketer, one art director, one analyst, and two developers.

How did you come to work with BAR Agency?

We learned about BAR Agency through a personal recommendation from a trusted partner and were immediately interested in their approach. BAR Agency was our first client, and our project was where the agency began before expanding to serve other car-sharing services and companies. We chose them because we saw a partner ready to grow alongside us.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested roughly $12,000 in total with BAR Agency, covering about $3,000 for the full rebrand and visual identity, $5,000 to develop the car-sharing MVP, approximately $2,000 to set up and manage our initial advertising campaigns, and $2,000 to design and implement the website.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with BAR Agency in September 2019, before the agency officially entered the market. They were formed in the process, and RideNow officially launched in Cyprus in January 2020. The main work on the website, branding, advertising, and app design has been fully completed, but we have now moved into a new phase. Together with BAR Agency, we are developing a new mobile app, designing RideNow’s internal staff services, and planning new advertising campaigns.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Over the past two years, RideNow’s audience has grown from zero to about 3,000 organic monthly visitors, with conversion rates fluctuating between 5% and 25%, translating to 150–750 new customers per month. With an average LTV of €150 and a CAC of around €10, our LTV/CAC ratio is 15× (ROI ≈ 1400%), meaning every euro spent on acquisition returns €15. Monthly marketing investments of €1,500–7,500 have generated €22,500–112,500 in customer lifetime value.

The biggest drivers of our growth were a combination of organic and paid channels: SEO and on-street branded cars with QR codes proved exceptionally cost-effective—bringing in a steady 3,000+ monthly visitors and dozens of app installs per car each day—while targeted search and social ads delivered predictable, scalable acquisition at our €10 CAC. Influencer partnerships (notably with Margarita Orlova) outperformed all large-scale offline efforts by generating dozens of high-quality signups for a fraction of the cost, and our simple referral program guaranteed a baseline of new users every month. In-app upselling then maximized revenue from our existing base without extra acquisition spend, making these six tactics the core of our success.

How did BAR Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

I’d describe BAR Agency’s project management as highly structured and transparent. They broke our scope into clear phases (branding, MVP development, site build, campaign setup), mapped each to sprint milestones in Asana, and kept us in the loop with daily stand-ups (or quick syncs) and weekly demo reviews.

Communication was proactive. We primarily communicated via Google Meet, managed tasks and progress in Asana, and used Telegram for quick questions and day-to-day communication.

Whenever a dependency or unknown cropped up, they flagged it immediately, proposed solutions, and adjusted the schedule before it became an issue. As a result, the core deliverables went live on schedule, and we seamlessly moved into the next phase without any major hold-ups.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What impressed me most was how BAR Agency combined creative vision with data-driven rigor. They didn’t just design and build our brand and MVP; they integrated analytics into every sprint, ran rapid A/B tests on campaigns and even sticker designs, and proactively adjusted tactics based on real-time results. Their cross-functional team—designers, developers, marketers, and analysts—worked in seamless sync, communicated transparently, and treated our first car-sharing MVP as a true partnership rather than a one-off project, turning a steep learning curve into a smooth, on-time delivery.

Are there any areas they could improve?

One thing that could’ve gone more smoothly was the very first MVP phase. Because it was BAR Agency’s first car-sharing prototype, the team spent extra time ironing out details and ramping up on the domain, which added a week or two to our timeline. In the future, they could lean into a leaner “launch fast, iterate later” approach—streamlining initial design specs, cutting back on over-fine-tuning, and running quicker internal reviews—to get to market even faster without compromising quality.
