• Optional Address Input: The address should be optional. Customers should be able to choose whether to enter an address. If they decide to input an address, the extension should show shops within their vicinity. However, if they choose not to input an address, the entire shop should be visible to them.
• Remove Address Option: Currently, once a customer inputs an address, it cannot be removed. We need to make this optional, allowing customers to remove their address if they wish to view the entire shop instead of just the nearby options.

What challenge were you trying to address with Webkul?

We bought a couple of OpenCart extensions for our e-commerce platform, but we found some issues with implementing them. These extensions didn't work out for us out of the box, so we needed help with custom development work to make them work again.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started working with Webkul on fixing compatibility errors between the OpenCart extensions and our e-commerce platform theme. Along the way, we've faced difficulties with many other errors in our platform, which have caused some misunderstandings. Still, Webkul has worked with us to fix those issues.

What is the team composition?

We usually deal with one teammate from Webkul, but we actually have two main points of contact from their team, the development team lead and the project manager.

How did you come to work with Webkul?

I found them on the OpenCart marketplace and went with them randomly. Of course, I had seen that they advertised themselves everywhere and were the most famous development company in OpenCart's marketplace, which was one of the reasons we chose them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent under $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September 2023, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Webkul has shown an impressive ability and willingness to fix the problems and errors we've found; that's why I wanted to leave a review to change my view on the current status of our relationship. Their team has successfully fixed a small technical issue on the app we're using.

At some point, we felt they weren't cooperating with us, so we started considering working with another company. However, we now feel the need to remove our previous negative review of them and talk about their most recent work. Overall, our experience with them has been good.

How did Webkul perform from a project management standpoint?

We can say that Webkul has delivered on time and on budget. We had a lot of problems, so fixing that amount of issues has required hard work. Webkul has worked hard on this project. Therefore, although we didn't meet the expected deadline, it wasn't on them. Overall, they've done a good job. We mainly communicate via email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I would like to congratulate their whole team. Their willingness to fix the issues with our extensions has been outstanding. They've never said no, and they've continued to work through those issues. Overall, they're very responsive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Everyone can always improve, but I can't pinpoint something specific Webkul could improve on. I just want to leave a positive review for them.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Webkul is a good company, and they work hard. Still, it's important to have a pre-sale demo meeting with them to figure out the best bespoke package for your needs.

Try to avoid Webkul as much as possible. Don't get deceived by their promotional advertisement. as per our experience they are the worst in the market when it comes to everything. Their prices are 10 times double of other companies who has the exact same solutions and their team are the worst acting unethically all the time. 

They are very slow, and lately they refuse to provide support on compatibility with our website theme until we re-purchase a 7 extension modules we've purchased in orders [#100139179, #100139277, #100139213] again just to share the desired extensions with us. They are still practising stalling and extortion to share extensions with us till the time of writing this review. 

They want us to buy the same all modules again just to provide support even though our paid support is still active. We have all the post tickets as evidence to be shared with any interested person or a third party to investigate.
