Acquaint Softtech conducted research during the first stage to understand how our customers were interacting with our online portal, as well as how our internal staff were using it. The company spent several weeks walking through real client journeys; starting at the point of a client receiving a notice in the mail and continuing through the client logging in to the online portal, through paying outstanding balances, uploading supporting documentation, etc. Additionally, Acquaint Softtech created a couple of those client journey's using "dummy" data in order to be able to experience some of the friction points within the portal firsthand.
After completing their research, Acquaint Softtech proposed developing a modernized web-based platform that would combine the current financial case dashboard with a streamlined and more efficient payment process. They redeveloped the dashboard page to create logical categories for our clients' information such as open cases, closed cases, payment reminders and communication threads.
The most significant deliverable from Acquaint Softtech related to the development of the new payment flow was designed to work like an e-commerce checkout process where users can:
