Acquaint Softtech conducted research during the first stage to understand how our customers were interacting with our online portal, as well as how our internal staff were using it. The company spent several weeks walking through real client journeys; starting at the point of a client receiving a notice in the mail and continuing through the client logging in to the online portal, through paying outstanding balances, uploading supporting documentation, etc. Additionally, Acquaint Softtech created a couple of those client journey's using "dummy" data in order to be able to experience some of the friction points within the portal firsthand.

After completing their research, Acquaint Softtech proposed developing a modernized web-based platform that would combine the current financial case dashboard with a streamlined and more efficient payment process. They redeveloped the dashboard page to create logical categories for our clients' information such as open cases, closed cases, payment reminders and communication threads.

The most significant deliverable from Acquaint Softtech related to the development of the new payment flow was designed to work like an e-commerce checkout process where users can:

Users were able to finish transactions more easily, and we had fewer cases of submissions that were incomplete or unclear.

Both targeted custom development and staff augmentation were part of the partnership.

 In terms of staff augmentation, Acquaint Softtech assigned developers who collaborated closely with our Vienna team.  They attended our internal standups, went over backlog items with us, and even took part in a few workshops on regulatory interpretation to learn the rationale behind the design of some features.

 They started by updating our event-reporting logic.  We had to deal with a situation where secondary data points were occasionally missing from reports that were submitted from remote devices.  The Acquaint Softtech team assisted us in rewriting the data collection process to more intelligently validate input without interfering with the user experience.

They also took on the task of creating a minor but crucial feature for workflow management.  When switching between modules, it made it easier for inspectors and auditors to coordinate findings.  They had to comprehend internal guidelines that we had created over years of working with aviation clients, and they were able to put them into practice without upsetting any preexisting reasoning.

 In terms of custom development, they created a new risk-trend visualisation feature that facilitated the identification of recurrent patterns by airline safety managers.  After months of internal testing, Acquaint Softtech kept refining this feature based on input from our trainers and test users in Bangkok.

 During a customer onboarding session for an operator in Southeast Asia, the most telling indication was that they commented right away on how intuitive the updated flow felt in comparison to a demo they had seen months earlier.
