I honestly was blown away by how they approached the requirements of my product. Their team told us to use G-Suite because we had trouble with Zoho. The email migration was helpful. We’re able to get emails across our devices.

They could provide more design options. Their team asked us to choose between two designs. They can make any changes within the designs, but it would be beneficial to have more design choices.

They put in a lot of time and effort and made changes when I requested. I was actually really happy with the service. The company hasn’t launched yet, so it’s hard to measure, but it has turned out well so far.

They’ve done quite a good job. They’re very thorough, have a lot of experience, and are very responsive. They know how to deal with various situations easily. They’re patient and have been able to deliver whatever we need.

They have very strong communication skills. Despite being located overseas, I’m always able to reach them. Even when they’re not in the office, I can get in contact with them right away. Other companies can take several days to get back to their clients, but that’s not a problem with Pawan and his team.

I rushed into my project because we had an opportunity during the COVID-19 pandemic because it was time-sensitive. As a result, I asked Aalpha Information Systems India Pvt. We used Excel throughout the project. It’s always a challenge to develop software. On a scale of zero to five, I would give them a four for their project management. It was good, but there were areas for improvement.

We found the speed of their coding and knowledge of technology impressive. We never had a problem when it came to their knowledge or their abilities to code. Their know-how of technology was useful.

The only issue we had was the chronogram. That’s the only area where they could improve.

Keep in touch with Pawan. He's nice, friendly, and helpful. The better you describe your product's functionalities in the beginning, the better the results will be. Spend more time at the beginning of the project to make the development easier.

There were a few hiccups initially when I was trying to understand them and their work culture. They were almost on target with the schedule. There were a few extra weeks, but it wasn’t major. I’d give them a 7 out of 10 for project management.

They’re willing to accommodate requests. Sometimes the requirements aren’t complete from our end. They’re willing to accommodate with minimal cost and sometimes no cost.

They could have a more committed schedule.

Give them clear requirements. Pricing wise, they are pretty flexible. For the scope of work and scheduling, be precise upfront.

What we’ve primarily seen is an increase in engagement from the team. We haven’t had the usual attrition in staff churn. Prior to this platform being developed, we’d had a high churn in our mobile team; team members were moving every 2–3 months. We’ve had the same team in place now for well over a year.

Aalpha Information Systems India uses the agile methodology — which we’re very familiar with — and they’re very competent. They’re really communicative, and they understand the requirements. The team isn’t afraid to mention when they think they’ve found a better way. They’re quite proactive in that regard, and they’re using the tools we’re familiar with, including Trello, Jira, and Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

For me, it’s their proactiveness. They don’t just take our requirements and build it; they’ll make suggestions of what could be a better approach based on their experience.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could’ve been a bit better with expectation management. They suggested that they’d get the initial stages of the project completed in a certain time, whereas we were expecting it to be a bit longer, and we were comfortable with it being a bit longer. They only went over by a couple of weeks, but they could’ve managed our expectations a bit better there.

My primary advice would be to get on a video call with them as soon as possible, just to manage expectations and make sure communication is clear.
