The subcontractor provided full UX/UI design for our Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) wearable for Alzheimer’s patients. The scope prioritized safety and caregiver control during use. Key deliverables included therapy management flows (start/stop/intensity), an elderly population interface designed according to standards and guidelines, and clear visual indicators for device status and battery life.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The primary outcome was the delivery of a comprehensive UI kit and design system which accelerated our development phase. The clarity of the specifications for the VNS control logic and safety indicators significantly reduced the number of clarifications required by the engineering team, allowing us to stay on schedule.

Excellent project management throughout. All key deliverables were received on or ahead of time. They were extremely responsive to our needs, demonstrating great flexibility when we requested adjustments to meet strict elderly accessibility standards. User Experience Quality (UX/UI): Developing an extremely intuitive and accessible user interface (UI) and interaction design (UX) that allows patients across a wide age range to perform their assigned exercises completely independently at the kiosk.

Development Readiness: Delivering complete, approved design assets, including detailed wireframes and a full design system, to ensure a smooth transition to the client's developing phase and eventual launch.

Project Goal Achievement: Successful completion of all defined design and specification phases within the agreed-upon timeline and budget, delivering final assets that meet Intel's complete technical and medical compliance requirements.

Deliverables and collaboration were excellent; both quality and timeline. The work model was a true collaboration. It felt like they are integral part of the team.

We assessed the deliverables as part of the CAD tool's design and development process. We received positive feedback from our internal team, which we incorporated into further design cycles.

5IVE UX managed the project meticulously. They delivered on time, provided feedback on time, and provided a detailed log of their activities on a monthly basis. We communicated in person primarily, and also via email.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The end state of the UI is outstanding. It’s entirely intuitive and able to distill and display highly complex information in a way that’s immediately clear. Regularly, our clients and prospective clients who see our technology are quickly impressed by the interface.

They almost always comment on how attractive it looks and how easy it is to use. We’ve also noticed a significant increase in interest in the product with 5IVE – Product Experience’s updates, including more engaging demos and increased client inquiries.

5IVE – Product Experience’s project management is great, and they've delivered on time. We communicate via in-person meetings, virtual meetings, and email or messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The entire 5IVE – Product Experience team is extremely skilled. Although they had no background in the complexities of the American legal system, they quickly learned and managed to design within that framework. They are some of the brightest and most efficient teammates we collaborate with. 5IVE has significantly enhanced the UX/UI design. Generally, they’re willing to challenge and critique designs and strategies, which has consistently led to a better product.

Additionally, 5IVE – Product Experience recruits and nurtures excellent talent. The challenge of UX/UI design lies in its requirement for both logical (right brain) and visual (left brain) skills. They can recognize individuals with this unique ability. Moreover, they are highly efficient. In just a two-hour session, we can achieve what might take multiple meetings with other vendors.
